| איוב 2 | Job 2 | |||
1 Again on the day [2] the sons of God [2] before the LORD; [1] among them [2] before the LORD. [1] |
2 And the LORD said [3] to the adversary, [2] are you coming?” [1] and he said, [2] and from walking up and down [2] on it.” [1] |
| 3 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Qadma Geresh אֶל־הַשָּׂטָ֗ן [3] Revi'a אֶל־עַבְדִּ֣י אִיּוֹב֒ [2] Munach Segol בָּאָ֗רֶץ [3] Revi'a יְרֵ֥א אֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha מַחֲזִ֣יק בְּתֻמָּת֔וֹ [2] Munach Zaqef לְבַלְּע֥וֹ חִנָּֽם׃ [1] Merkha Silluq |
3 And the LORD said [4] to the adversary, [3] my servant Job? [2] on the earth, [3] fearing God, [2] maintains his integrity, [2] to ruin him without cause.” [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
4 And the adversary answered [3] the LORD, [2] and he said, [1] yes all [3] that the man has, [2] for his life. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
5 But [3] stretch out your hand now, [2] and his flesh; [1] he will renounce you.” [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
6 And the LORD said [3] to the adversary, [2] “Behold, he is in your hand; [1] spare his life.” [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
7 So he went out, [3] the adversary [2] the presence of the LORD; [1] with painful sores [2] to the crown of his head. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
8 And he took for himself a potsherd, [2] to scrape himself [2] with it; [1] was sitting among the ashes. [1] |
9 Then she said to him, [3] his wife, [2] maintain your integrity? [1] and die.” [1] |
| 10 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלֶ֗יהָ [3] Munach Revi'a אַחַ֤ת הַנְּבָלוֹת֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta תְּדַבֵּ֔רִי [2] Zaqef נְקַבֵּל֙ [3] Pashta מֵאֵ֣ת הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef לֹ֣א נְקַבֵּ֑ל [1] Munach Etnachta לֹא־חָטָ֥א אִיּ֖וֹב [2] Merkha Tip'cha בִּשְׂפָתָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq פ |
10 But he said to her, [3] one of the foolish women, [3] you are speaking. [2] shall we accept [3] from God, [2] shall we not accept?” [1] Job didn’t sin [2] with his lips. [1] ¶ |
| 11 וַֽיִּשְׁמְע֞וּ [4] Gershayim שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh רֵעֵ֣י אִיּ֗וֹב [3] Munach Revi'a הַבָּ֣אָה עָלָיו֒ [2] Munach Segol אִ֣ישׁ מִמְּקֹמ֔וֹ [2] Munach Zaqef וּבִלְדַּ֣ד הַשּׁוּחִ֔י [2] Munach Zaqef הַנַּֽעֲמָתִ֑י [1] Etnachta לָב֥וֹא לָנֽוּד־ל֖וֹ [2] Merkha Tip'cha וּֽלְנַחֲמֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
11 Now when they heard, [4] the three, [4] the friends of Job, [3] which had come on him, [2] each one from his own place, [2] and Bildad the Shuhite, [2] the Naamathite; [1] to come to show sympathy to him [2] and to comfort him. [1] |
12 When they lifted up their eyes from a distance [3] and didn’t recognize him, [2] and they wept; [1] each one his robe, [2] on their heads [2] toward the heavens. [1] |
13 And they sat with him [3] on the ground [2] and seven nights; [1] a word, [2] that the pain was great [2] very. [1] |
