1 After this, [3] Job opened [3] his mouth, [2] his day. [1] ¶ |
[1] Silluq |
2 And Job answered [3/2] and he said, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
3 “Let it perish, the day [3] on which I was born; [2] ‘A man has been conceived.’ [1] |
[1] Silluq |
4 That day, [3] let it be darkness; [2] from above, [2] daylight. [1] |
5 Let them reclaim it, [4] darkness and the shadow of death, [3] let a cloud settle down over it; [2] the things which darken the day. [1] |
6 As for that night, [3] let thick darkness take it; [2] among the days of the year, [2] let it not come. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
7 Behold that night, [3] let it be barren; [2] in it. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
8 Let them curse it who curse the day; [2] to rouse Leviathan. [1] |
9 יֶחְשְׁכוּ֮ [3] Sinnor כּוֹכְבֵ֢י נִ֫שְׁפּ֥וֹ [2] Ole Veyored וְאַל־יִ֝רְאֶ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash בְּעַפְעַפֵּי־שָֽׁחַר׃ [1] Silluq |

[1] Silluq |
10 for not did it shut [3] the doors of my womb; [2] from my eyes. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
11 “Why not from the womb [3] did I die; [2] and gave (I) up the spirit? [1] |

13 For now [3] I should have lay down and been at peace; [2] then [4/2] I would have been at rest, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
14 with kings [3] and counselors of the earth; [2] for themselves, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
15 or with princes [3] who had gold; [2] with silver, [1] |

[1] Silluq |

21 who long for death [3] but it doesn’t come; [2] more than hidden treasures, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
22 who rejoice exceedingly; [2] when they find the grave; [1] |
[1] Silluq |
23 to a man [3] whose way is hidden; [2] behind him? [1] |
[1] Silluq |
24 For before my food [3] comes my groaning; [2] my cries of distress. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
25 For a fear I feared, [3] and it came upon me; [2] it came to me. [1] |
