| איוב 6 | Job 6 | |||
[1] Silluq |
1 Then Job answered [3/2] and he said, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
2 “If [3] it were weighed, [3] my grief; [2] in the balances were raised together, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
3 then [3] more than the sand of the seas [3] it would be heavy; [2] my words have been rash. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
4 For the arrows of the Almighty [4] are within me, [3] my spirit is drinking; [2] they are arrayed against me. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
5 Does a wild donkey bray on fresh grass; [2] on its fodder? [1] |
[1] Silluq |
6 Is tasteless food eaten [3] without salt; [2] in the white of an egg? [1] |
[1] Silluq |
7 It refuses to touch them, [3] my soul; [2] are as loathsome food to me. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
8 “Oh that he would grant [3] that my request would be realized; [2] God would grant, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
9 and may it please God [3] and may he crush me; [2] and may he cut me off. [1] |
10 And let it still be [4] my comfort, [3] which doesn’t relent; [2] the words of the Holy One. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
11 What is my strength that I should wait; [2] that I should prolong my life? [1] |
[2] Etnachta |
12 Is the strength of stones [3] my strength; [2] |
[1] Silluq |
13 If I have no help [3] in myself; [2] it has been driven away from me, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
14 a despairing person from his close friend should have [3] kindness; [2] he has forsaken. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
15 My brothers, [3] they have dealt deceitfully like a brook; [2] they pass away, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
16 Which are dark from ice; [2] the snow hides itself. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
17 At the time [3] when they flow, they vanish; [2] they are dried up from their place. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
18 They turn away, [3] the caravans that travel beside them; [2] and they perish. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
19 They look, [3] the caravans of Tema; [2] they wait eagerly for them. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
20 They are distressed because they had been confident; [2] and they were disappointed. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
21 For now [3] you have become nothing; [2] and you were afraid. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
22 For have I said, [3] ‘Give to me?’ [2] pay a ransom for me?’ [1] |
[1] Silluq |
23 or, ‘Deliver me from the adversary’s hand?’ [2] redeem me?’ [1] |
[1] Silluq |
24 Teach me, [3] and I, I will keep silent; [2] explain to me. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
25 How powerful are upright words; [2] from you? [1] |
[1] Silluq |
26 To reprove words [3] do you intend; [2] are the words of one who is in despair? [1] |
[1] Silluq |
27 Even over a fatherless one you would cast lots; [2] over your friend. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
28 Now therefore [3] be willing to look at me; [2] I will surely not lie. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
29 Relent please, [3] let there be no falsehood; [2] my integrity is at stake. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
30 Is there on my tongue injustice? [2] can it not discern destruction? [1] |
