אַבְנֵי־קֹ֔דֶשׁ [2] Zaqef
 
בְּרֹ֖אשׁ [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־חוּצֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

לְנִבְלֵי־חֶ֔רֶשׂ [2] Zaqef
 
מַעֲשֵׂ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
יְדֵ֥י יוֹצֵֽר׃ [1] Silluq

the precious, [2]
 
once worth their weight [2]
in pure gold; [1]
 
now they are treated [3]
like clay jars, [2]
 
the work [2]

אֶל־חִכּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
בַּצָּמָ֑א [1] Etnachta
 
עֽוֹלָלִים֙ [3] Pashta
שָׁ֣אֲלוּ לֶ֔חֶם [2] Zaqef
 
פֹּרֵ֖שׂ [2] Tip'cha
אֵ֥ין לָהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

they ask for bread, [2]
 
one who breaks it, [2]

נָשַׁ֖מּוּ [2] Tip'cha

הָאֱמֻנִים֙ [3] Pashta
עֲלֵ֣י תוֹלָ֔ע [2] Zaqef
 
חִבְּק֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
אַשְׁפַּתּֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

they are desolate [2]
in the streets; [1]
 
those who were brought up [3]
in purple, [2]
 
they embrace [2]

עֲוֺ֣ן בַּת־עַמִּ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
מֵֽחַטַּ֖את [2] Tip'cha
סְדֹ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
הַֽהֲפוּכָ֣ה כְמוֹ־רָ֔גַע [2] Zaqef
וְלֹא־חָ֥לוּ בָ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha
יָדָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

the iniquity of the daughter of my people, [2]
 
more than the sin [2]
of Sodom; [1]
 
which was overthrown as in a moment, [2]
yet they were not turned on her, [2]

מִשֶּׁ֔לֶג [2] Zaqef

אָ֤דְמוּ עֶ֙צֶם֙ [3 3] Pashta
מִפְּנִינִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
סַפִּ֖יר [2] Tip'cha
גִּזְרָתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

they were white [2]
more than milk; [1]
 
they were ruddy in body [3 3]
more than rubies, [2]
 
like sapphire [2]
was the beauty of their form. [1]

לֹ֥א נִכְּר֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
בַּחוּצ֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
צָפַ֤ד עוֹרָם֙ [3] Pashta
עַל־עַצְמָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
יָבֵ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha
הָיָ֥ה כָעֵֽץ׃ [1] Silluq

they are not recognized [2]
in the streets; [1]
 
their skin has shriveled [3]
on their bones, [2]
 
it has withered [2]

מְדֻקָּרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
מִתְּנוּבֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
שָׂדָֽי׃ [1] Silluq

שָׁפַ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
חֲר֣וֹן אַפּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּצֶּת־אֵ֣שׁ בְּצִיּ֔וֹן [2] Zaqef
וַתֹּ֖אכַל [2] Tip'cha
יְסֹדֹתֶֽיהָ׃ [1] Silluq

his wrath, [2]
 
he has poured out [2]
his burning anger; [1]
 
and he has kindled a fire in Zion, [2]
and it has devoured [2]
her foundations. [1]

מַלְכֵי־אֶ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef
 
*וכל **כֹּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
יֹשְׁבֵ֣י תֵבֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֤י יָבֹא֙ [3] Pashta
צַ֣ר וְאוֹיֵ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
בְּשַׁעֲרֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ [1] Silluq

the kings of the earth [2]
 
and all [2]
the inhabitants of the world; [1]
 
that he would come, [3]
the adversary and enemy, [2]
 
into the gates [2]
of Jerusalem. [1]

13 מֵֽחַטֹּ֣אות נְבִיאֶ֔יהָ [2] Zaqef
עֲוֺנֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
כֹּהֲנֶ֑יהָ [1] Etnachta
 
הַשֹּׁפְכִ֥ים בְּקִרְבָּ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha
דַּ֥ם צַדִּיקִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 2 2 13 (But it happened) because of the sins of her prophets, [2]
the iniquities [2]
of her priests; [1]
 
who shed in her midst [2]
the blood of the righteous. [1]

14 נָע֤וּ עִוְרִים֙ [3] Pashta
בַּֽחוּצ֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
נְגֹֽאֲל֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
בַּדָּ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
בְּלֹ֣א יֽוּכְל֔וּ [2] Zaqef
יִגְּע֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
בִּלְבֻשֵׁיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

they were defiled [2]
by blood; [1]
 
so that men couldn’t [2]
touch [2]
their garments. [1]

קָ֣רְאוּ לָ֗מוֹ [3] Revi'i

אַל־תִּגָּ֔עוּ [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֥י נָצ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
גַּם־נָ֑עוּ [1] Etnachta
 
אָֽמְרוּ֙ [3] Pashta
בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
לֹ֥א יוֹסִ֖פוּ [2] Tip'cha

לֹ֣א נָשָׂ֔אוּ [2] Zaqef
 
*זקנים **וּזְקֵנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א חָנָֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq

regard them; [1]
 
the face of the priests [3]
they didn’t lift up, [2]
 
and the elders [2]

אֶל־עֶזְרָתֵ֖נוּ [2] Tip'cha

בְּצִפִּיָּתֵ֣נוּ צִפִּ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef
אֶל־גּ֖וֹי [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א יוֹשִֽׁעַ׃ [1] Silluq

our eyes fail, [2]
 
looking for our help [2]
in vain; [1]
 
from our tower we watched, [2]
for a nation [2]

בִּרְחֹבֹתֵ֑ינוּ [1] Etnachta
 
קָרַ֥ב קִצֵּ֛נוּ [3] Tevir
מָלְא֥וּ יָמֵ֖ינוּ [2] Tip'cha
כִּי־בָ֥א קִצֵּֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq

so we couldn’t walk [2]
in our streets; [1]
 
our end drew near, [3]
our days were numbered, [2]
for our end had come. [1]

מִנִּשְׁרֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
שָׁמָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
עַל־הֶהָרִ֣ים דְּלָקֻ֔נוּ [2] Zaqef
בַּמִּדְבָּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
אָ֥רְבוּ לָֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq

more than the eagles [2]
of the heavens; [1]
 
over the mountains they pursued us, [2]

בִּשְׁחִיתוֹתָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָמַ֔רְנוּ [2] Zaqef
בְּצִלּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
נִֽחְיֶ֥ה בַגּוֹיִֽם׃ [1] Silluq

תַּעֲבׇר־כּ֔וֹס [2] Zaqef
 
תִּשְׁכְּרִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וְתִתְעָרִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

עַל־חַטֹּאתָֽיִךְ׃ [1] Silluq
