	¹הִנְנִ֤י שֹׁלֵ֙חַ֙ [3 3] Pashta מַלְאָכִ֔י [2] Zaqef וּפִנָּה־דֶ֖רֶךְ [2] Tip'cha לְפָנָ֑י [1] Etnachta וּפִתְאֹם֩ יָב֨וֹא אֶל־הֵיכָל֜וֹ [4] Geresh הָאָד֣וֹן ׀ [4] Legarmeh אֲשֶׁר־אַתֶּ֣ם מְבַקְשִׁ֗ים [3] Revi'i וּמַלְאַ֨ךְ הַבְּרִ֜ית [4] Geresh אֲשֶׁר־אַתֶּ֤ם חֲפֵצִים֙ [3] Pashta הִנֵּה־בָ֔א [2] Zaqef אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq		¹“Behold I send [3 3] my messenger, [2] and he will prepare the way [2] before me; [1] and suddenly he will come to his temple, [4] the Lord [4] whom you seek, [3] and the messenger of the covenant [4] whom you desire, [3] behold, he comes!” [2] says he, [2] the LORD of Hosts. [1]
	²וּמִ֤י מְכַלְכֵּל֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־י֣וֹם בּוֹא֔וֹ [2] Zaqef וּמִ֥י הָעֹמֵ֖ד [2] Tip'cha בְּהֵרָאוֹת֑וֹ [1] Etnachta כִּי־הוּא֙ [3] Pashta כְּאֵ֣שׁ מְצָרֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef וּכְבֹרִ֖ית [2] Tip'cha מְכַבְּסִֽים׃ [1] Silluq		²“But who can endure [3] the day of his coming? [2] And who will stand [2] when he appears? [1] For he [3] is like fire of a refiner, [2] and like soap [2] of launderers, [1]
	³וְיָשַׁ֨ב מְצָרֵ֤ף וּמְטַהֵר֙ [3] Pashta כֶּ֔סֶף [2] Zaqef וְטִהַ֤ר אֶת־בְּנֵֽי־לֵוִי֙ [3] Pashta וְזִקַּ֣ק אֹתָ֔ם [2] Zaqef כַּזָּהָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha וְכַכָּ֑סֶף [1] Etnachta וְהָיוּ֙ [3] Pashta לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef מַגִּישֵׁ֥י מִנְחָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha בִּצְדָקָֽה׃ [1] Silluq		³and he will sit as a refiner and purifier [3] of silver, [2] and he will purify the sons of Levi [3] and he will refine them [2] like gold [2] and like silver; [1] and they shall be [3] to the LORD, [2] bringing near an offering [2] in righteousness. [1]
	⁴וְעָֽרְבָה֙ [3] Pashta לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef מִנְחַ֥ת יְהוּדָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha וִירֽוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם [1] Etnachta כִּימֵ֣י עוֹלָ֔ם [2] Zaqef וּכְשָׁנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha קַדְמֹנִיֹּֽת׃ [1] Silluq		⁴And it will be pleasing [3] to the LORD, [2] the offering of Judah [2] and Jerusalem; [1] like the days of antiquity, [2] and like years [2] of old. [1]
	⁵וְקָרַבְתִּ֣י אֲלֵיכֶם֮ [3] Zarqa לַמִּשְׁפָּט֒ [2] Segol וְהָיִ֣יתִי ׀ [4] Legarmeh עֵ֣ד מְמַהֵ֗ר [3] Revi'i בַּֽמְכַשְּׁפִים֙ [3] Pashta וּבַמְנָ֣אֲפִ֔ים [2] Zaqef וּבַנִּשְׁבָּעִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha לַשָּׁ֑קֶר [1] Etnachta וּבְעֹשְׁקֵ֣י שְׂכַר־שָׂ֠כִ֠יר [4 4] TelishaG אַלְמָנָ֨ה וְיָת֤וֹם וּמַטֵּי־גֵר֙ [3] Pashta וְלֹ֣א יְרֵא֔וּנִי [2] Zaqef אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq		⁵And I will draw near to you [3] for judgment, [2] and I will be [4] a swift witness [3] against the sorcerers [3] and against the adulterers, [2] and against the those who swear [2] to falsehood; [1] and against those who cheat on the wages of a laborer, [4 4] the widow and the fatherless, and who deprive a foreigner of justice, [3] they don’t fear me,” [2] says he, [2] the LORD of Hosts. [1]
	⁶כִּ֛י [3] Tevir אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha לֹ֣א שָׁנִ֑יתִי [1] Etnachta וְאַתֶּ֥ם בְּנֵֽי־יַעֲקֹ֖ב [2] Tip'cha לֹ֥א כְלִיתֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq		⁶“For [3] I the LORD, [2] I do not change; [1] so you the sons of Jacob, [2] you are not consumed. [1]
	⁷לְמִימֵ֨י אֲבֹֽתֵיכֶ֜ם [4] Geresh סַרְתֶּ֤ם מֵֽחֻקַּי֙ [3] Pashta וְלֹ֣א שְׁמַרְתֶּ֔ם [2] Zaqef שׁ֤וּבוּ אֵלַי֙ [3] Pashta וְאָשׁ֣וּבָה אֲלֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha בַּמֶּ֥ה נָשֽׁוּב׃ [1] Silluq		⁷From the days of your fathers [4] you have turned aside from my statutes, [3] and you have not kept them. [2] Return to me [3] and I will return to you,” [2] says he, [2] the LORD of Hosts; [1] “But you say, [2] ‘How shall we return?’ [1]
	⁸הֲיִקְבַּ֨ע אָדָ֜ם [4] Geresh אֱלֹהִ֗ים [3] Revi'i כִּ֤י אַתֶּם֙ [3] Pashta קֹֽבְעִ֣ים אֹתִ֔י [2] Zaqef וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha בַּמֶּ֣ה קְבַֽעֲנ֑וּךָ [1] Etnachta הַֽמַּעֲשֵׂ֖ר [2] Tip'cha וְהַתְּרוּמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq		⁸Will a man rob [4] God? [3] Yet you [3] are robbing me. [2] But you say, [2] ‘How have we robbed you?’ [1] The tithe [2] and the offering. [1]
	⁹בַּמְּאֵרָה֙ [3] Pashta אַתֶּ֣ם נֵֽאָרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef וְאֹתִ֖י [2] Tip'cha אַתֶּ֣ם קֹבְעִ֑ים [1] Etnachta הַגּ֖וֹי [2] Tip'cha כֻּלּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq		⁹With a curse [3] you are cursed, [2] for me [2] you are robbing; [1] the nation, [2] all of it. [1]
	¹⁰הָבִ֨יאוּ אֶת־כׇּל־הַֽמַּעֲשֵׂ֜ר [4] Geresh אֶל־בֵּ֣ית הָאוֹצָ֗ר [3] Revi'i וִיהִ֥י טֶ֙רֶף֙ [3 3] Pashta בְּבֵיתִ֔י [2] Zaqef וּבְחָנ֤וּנִי נָא֙ [3] Pashta בָּזֹ֔את [2] Zaqef אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta אִם־לֹ֧א אֶפְתַּ֣ח לָכֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i אֵ֚ת [3] Yetiv אֲרֻבּ֣וֹת הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef וַהֲרִיקֹתִ֥י לָכֶ֛ם [3] Tevir בְּרָכָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha עַד־בְּלִי־דָֽי׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁰Bring all the tithe [4] into the storehouse, [3] that there may be food [3 3] in my house, [2] and now test me [3] in this,” [2] says he, [2] the LORD of Hosts; [1] “if I will not open for you [3] -- [3] the windows of the heavens, [2] and I will pour out for you [3] blessing, [2] until no one is without enough. [1]
	¹¹וְגָעַרְתִּ֤י לָכֶם֙ [3] Pashta בָּֽאֹכֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef וְלֹא־יַשְׁחִ֥ת לָכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha אֶת־פְּרִ֣י הָאֲדָמָ֑ה [1] Etnachta וְלֹא־תְשַׁכֵּ֨ל לָכֶ֤ם הַגֶּ֙פֶן֙ [3 3] Pashta בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq		¹¹And I will rebuke for you [3] the devourer, [2] so it shall not destroy to you [2] the fruit of the ground; [1] and your vine shall not be barren [3 3] in the field,” [2] says he, [2] the LORD of Hosts. [1]
	¹²וְאִשְּׁר֥וּ אֶתְכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם [1] Etnachta כִּֽי־תִהְי֤וּ אַתֶּם֙ [3] Pashta אֶ֣רֶץ חֵ֔פֶץ [2] Zaqef אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq פ		¹²“And they shall call you blessed, [2] all the nations; [1] for you will be [3] a land of delight,” [2] says he, [2] the LORD of Hosts. [1] ¶
	¹³חָזְק֥וּ עָלַ֛י [3] Tevir דִּבְרֵיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם [2] ZaqefG מַה־נִּדְבַּ֖רְנוּ [2] Tip'cha עָלֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq		¹³“They have been strong against me, [3] your words,” [2] says the LORD; [1] “Yet you say, [2] ‘What have we spoken [2] against you?’ [1]
	¹⁴אֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם [2] ZaqefG שָׁ֖וְא [2] Tip'cha עֲבֹ֣ד אֱלֹהִ֑ים [1] Etnachta וּמַה־בֶּ֗צַע [3] Revi'i כִּ֤י שָׁמַ֙רְנוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta מִשְׁמַרְתּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef וְכִ֤י הָלַ֙כְנוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta קְדֹ֣רַנִּ֔ית [2] Zaqef מִפְּנֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁴You have said, [2] ‘Futility [2] is to serve God,’ [1] and ‘What profit is it, [3] that we have kept [3 3] his charge, [2] and that we have walked [3 3] mournfully [2] before [2] the LORD of Hosts? [1]
	¹⁵וְעַתָּ֕ה [2] ZaqefG אֲנַ֖חְנוּ [2] Tip'cha מְאַשְּׁרִ֣ים זֵדִ֑ים [1] Etnachta גַּם־נִבְנוּ֙ [3] Pashta עֹשֵׂ֣י רִשְׁעָ֔ה [2] Zaqef גַּ֧ם בָּחֲנ֛וּ [3] Tevir אֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha וַיִּמָּלֵֽטוּ׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁵And so [2] we [2] call the arrogant blessed; [1] they have both been built up, [3] those who work wickedness, [2] and they have tested [3] God, [2] and they have escaped.’ [1]
	¹⁶אָ֧ז נִדְבְּר֛וּ [3] Tevir יִרְאֵ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אִ֣ישׁ אֶל־רֵעֵ֑הוּ [1] Etnachta וַיַּקְשֵׁ֤ב יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta וַיִּשְׁמָ֔ע [2] Zaqef וַ֠יִּכָּתֵ֠ב [4 4] TelishaG סֵ֣פֶר זִכָּר֤וֹן לְפָנָיו֙ [3] Pashta לְיִרְאֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וּלְחֹשְׁבֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha שְׁמֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁶Then they spoke together, [3] those who fear the LORD, [2] one with another; [1] and the LORD paid attention [3] and he listened, [2] and it was written, [4 4] a document of remembrance before him [3] for those who fear the LORD, [2] and for those who honor [2] his name. [1]
	¹⁷וְהָ֣יוּ לִ֗י [3] Revi'i אָמַר֙ [3] Pashta יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef לַיּ֕וֹם [2] ZaqefG אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲנִ֖י [2] Tip'cha עֹשֶׂ֣ה סְגֻלָּ֑ה [1] Etnachta וְחָמַלְתִּ֣י עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef כַּֽאֲשֶׁר֙ [3] Pashta יַחְמֹ֣ל אִ֔ישׁ [2] Zaqef עַל־בְּנ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha הָעֹבֵ֥ד אֹתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁷And they will belong to me,” [3] says he, [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] “In the day [2] when I [2] am making a possession; [1] and I will have compassion on them, [2] just as [3] a man has compassion [2] on his son [2] who serves him. [1]
	¹⁸וְשַׁבְתֶּם֙ [3] Pashta וּרְאִיתֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef בֵּ֥ין צַדִּ֖יק [2] Tip'cha לְרָשָׁ֑ע [1] Etnachta בֵּ֚ין [3] Yetiv עֹבֵ֣ד אֱלֹהִ֔ים [2] Zaqef לַאֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha לֹ֥א עֲבָדֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq פ		¹⁸And you will return [3] and you will discern [2] between the righteous [2] and the wicked; [1] between [3] one who serves God, [2] and one who [2] doesn’t serve him. [1] ¶

	¹⁹כִּֽי־הִנֵּ֤ה הַיּוֹם֙ [3] Pashta בָּ֔א [2] Zaqef בֹּעֵ֖ר [2] Tip'cha כַּתַּנּ֑וּר [1] Etnachta וְהָי֨וּ כׇל־זֵדִ֜ים [4] Geresh וְכׇל־עֹשֵׂ֤ה רִשְׁעָה֙ [3] Pashta קַ֔שׁ [2] Zaqef וְלִהַ֨ט אֹתָ֜ם [4] Geresh הַיּ֣וֹם הַבָּ֗א [3] Revi'i אָמַר֙ [3] Pashta יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֛ר [3] Tevir לֹא־יַעֲזֹ֥ב לָהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha שֹׁ֥רֶשׁ וְעָנָֽף׃ [1] Silluq		¹“For behold the day [3] is coming, [2] burning [2] like a furnace; [1] and all the arrogant will be, [4] and all who work wickedness, [3] stubble, [2] and it will set them ablaze, [4] the day that's coming,” [3] says he, [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] “that [3] it shall not leave for them [2] root or branch. [1]
	²⁰וְזָרְחָ֨ה לָכֶ֜ם [4] Geresh יִרְאֵ֤י שְׁמִי֙ [3] Pashta שֶׁ֣מֶשׁ צְדָקָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וּמַרְפֵּ֖א [2] Tip'cha בִּכְנָפֶ֑יהָ [1] Etnachta וִיצָאתֶ֥ם וּפִשְׁתֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha כְּעֶגְלֵ֥י מַרְבֵּֽק׃ [1] Silluq		²But it shall rise for you [4] who fear my name, [3] the sun of righteousness, [2] with healing [2] in its wings; [1] and you will go out and you will leap [2] like calves from the stall. [1]
	²¹וְעַסּוֹתֶ֣ם רְשָׁעִ֔ים [2] Zaqef כִּֽי־יִהְי֣וּ אֵ֔פֶר [2] Zaqef תַּ֖חַת [2] Tip'cha כַּפּ֣וֹת רַגְלֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta בַּיּוֹם֙ [3] Pashta אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֲנִ֣י עֹשֶׂ֔ה [2] Zaqef אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq פ		³And you shall tread down the wicked, [2] for they will be ashes [2] under [2] the soles of your feet; [1] on the day [3] when I act,” [2] says he, [2] the LORD of Hosts. [1] ¶
	²²זִכְר֕וּ [2] ZaqefG תּוֹרַ֖ת [2] Tip'cha מֹשֶׁ֣ה עַבְדִּ֑י [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁר֩ צִוִּ֨יתִי אוֹת֤וֹ בְחֹרֵב֙ [3] Pashta עַל־כׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef חֻקִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha וּמִשְׁפָּטִֽים׃ [1] Silluq		⁴“Remember [2] the Torah [2] of Moses my servant; [1] which I commanded him at Horeb [3] for all Israel, [2] statutes [2] and ordinances. [1]
	²³הִנֵּ֤ה אָנֹכִי֙ [3] Pashta שֹׁלֵ֣חַ לָכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef אֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha אֵלִיָּ֣ה הַנָּבִ֑יא [1] Etnachta לִפְנֵ֗י [3] Revi'i בּ֚וֹא [3] Yetiv י֣וֹם יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef הַגָּד֖וֹל [2] Tip'cha וְהַנּוֹרָֽא׃ [1] Silluq		⁵Behold I [3] will send to you [2] -- [2] Elijah the prophet; [1] before [3] comes [3] the day of the LORD, [2] the great [2] and the terrible. [1]
	²⁴וְהֵשִׁ֤יב לֵב־אָבוֹת֙ [3] Pashta עַל־בָּנִ֔ים [2] Zaqef וְלֵ֥ב בָּנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha עַל־אֲבוֹתָ֑ם [1] Etnachta פֶּן־אָב֕וֹא [2] ZaqefG וְהִכֵּיתִ֥י אֶת־הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha חֵֽרֶם׃ [1] Silluq		⁶And he will turn the heart of fathers [3] to sons, [2] and the heart of sons [2] to their fathers; [1] lest I come [2] and strike the land [2] (with) total destruction.” [1]
