וּפִתְאֹם֩ יָב֨וֹא אֶל־הֵיכָל֜וֹ [4] Geresh
הָאָד֣וֹן ׀ [4] Legarmeh
אֲשֶׁר־אַתֶּ֣ם מְבַקְשִׁ֗ים [3] Revi'i
 
וּמַלְאַ֨ךְ הַבְּרִ֜ית [4] Geresh
אֲשֶׁר־אַתֶּ֤ם חֲפֵצִים֙ [3] Pashta
הִנֵּה־בָ֔א [2] Zaqef
 
אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

and suddenly he will come to his temple, [4]

2 וּמִ֤י מְכַלְכֵּל֙ [3] Pashta

וּמִ֥י הָעֹמֵ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
בְּהֵרָאוֹת֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּי־הוּא֙ [3] Pashta
כְּאֵ֣שׁ מְצָרֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef
 
וּכְבֹרִ֖ית [2] Tip'cha
מְכַבְּסִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

the day of his coming? [2]
 
And who will stand [2]
when he appears? [1]

is like fire of a refiner, [2]
 
and like soap [2]
of launderers, [1]
3 וְיָשַׁ֨ב מְצָרֵ֤ף וּמְטַהֵר֙ [3] Pashta

וְטִהַ֤ר אֶת־בְּנֵֽי־לֵוִי֙ [3] Pashta
וְזִקַּ֣ק אֹתָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
כַּזָּהָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
וְכַכָּ֑סֶף [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָיוּ֙ [3] Pashta
לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
מַגִּישֵׁ֥י מִנְחָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בִּצְדָקָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

and he will purify the sons of Levi [3]
and he will refine them [2]
 
like gold [2]
and like silver; [1]

bringing near an offering [2]
in righteousness. [1]

כִּימֵ֣י עוֹלָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
וּכְשָׁנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
קַדְמֹנִיֹּֽת׃ [1] Silluq

the offering of Judah [2]
and Jerusalem; [1]
 
like the days of antiquity, [2]
and like years [2]

5 וְקָרַבְתִּ֣י אֲלֵיכֶם֮ [3] Zarqa
לַמִּשְׁפָּט֒ [2] Segol
 
וְהָיִ֣יתִי ׀ [4] Legarmeh
עֵ֣ד מְמַהֵ֗ר [3] Revi'i
 
בַּֽמְכַשְּׁפִים֙ [3] Pashta
וּבַמְנָ֣אֲפִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וּבַנִּשְׁבָּעִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לַשָּׁ֑קֶר [1] Etnachta
 
וּבְעֹשְׁקֵ֣י שְׂכַר־שָׂ֠כִ֠יר [4 4] TelishaG
אַלְמָנָ֨ה וְיָת֤וֹם וּמַטֵּי־גֵר֙ [3] Pashta
וְלֹ֣א יְרֵא֔וּנִי [2] Zaqef
 
אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

a swift witness [3]
 
against the sorcerers [3]

and against the those who swear [2]

the widow and the fatherless, and who deprive a foreigner of justice, [3]
they don’t fear me,” [2]

וְאַתֶּ֥ם בְּנֵֽי־יַעֲקֹ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א כְלִיתֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

so you the sons of Jacob, [2]
you are not consumed. [1]

וְלֹ֣א שְׁמַרְתֶּ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
שׁ֤וּבוּ אֵלַי֙ [3] Pashta
וְאָשׁ֣וּבָה אֲלֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta

בַּמֶּ֥ה נָשֽׁוּב׃ [1] Silluq

וִיהִ֥י טֶ֙רֶף֙ [3 3] Pashta
בְּבֵיתִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וּבְחָנ֤וּנִי נָא֙ [3] Pashta
בָּזֹ֔את [2] Zaqef
 
אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
אִם־לֹ֧א אֶפְתַּ֣ח לָכֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
אֵ֚ת [3] Yetiv
אֲרֻבּ֣וֹת הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
וַהֲרִיקֹתִ֥י לָכֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
בְּרָכָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עַד־בְּלִי־דָֽי׃ [1] Silluq

into the storehouse, [3]

the windows of the heavens, [2]
 
and I will pour out for you [3]
blessing, [2]
until no one is without enough. [1]
11 וְגָעַרְתִּ֤י לָכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
בָּֽאֹכֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹא־יַשְׁחִ֥ת לָכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־פְּרִ֣י הָאֲדָמָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹא־תְשַׁכֵּ֨ל לָכֶ֤ם הַגֶּ֙פֶן֙ [3 3] Pashta
בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

the devourer, [2]
 
so it shall not destroy to you [2]
the fruit of the ground; [1]
 
and your vine shall not be barren [3 3]
in the field,” [2]

12 וְאִשְּׁר֥וּ אֶתְכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־תִהְי֤וּ אַתֶּם֙ [3] Pashta
אֶ֣רֶץ חֵ֔פֶץ [2] Zaqef
 
אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

all the nations; [1]
 
for you will be [3]
a land of delight,” [2]

13 חָזְק֥וּ עָלַ֛י [3] Tevir
דִּבְרֵיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם [2] ZaqefG
מַה־נִּדְבַּ֖רְנוּ [2] Tip'cha
עָלֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq

your words,” [2]
says the LORD; [1]
 
“Yet you say, [2]
‘What have we spoken [2]
against you?’ [1]
14 אֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם [2] ZaqefG

עֲבֹ֣ד אֱלֹהִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וּמַה־בֶּ֗צַע [3] Revi'i
כִּ֤י שָׁמַ֙רְנוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
מִשְׁמַרְתּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וְכִ֤י הָלַ֙כְנוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
קְדֹ֣רַנִּ֔ית [2] Zaqef
 
מִפְּנֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

‘Futility [2]
is to serve God,’ [1]
 
and ‘What profit is it, [3]
that we have kept [3 3]
his charge, [2]
 
and that we have walked [3 3]
mournfully [2]
 
before [2]
the LORD of Hosts? [1]
15 וְעַתָּ֕ה [2] ZaqefG
אֲנַ֖חְנוּ [2] Tip'cha
מְאַשְּׁרִ֣ים זֵדִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
גַּם־נִבְנוּ֙ [3] Pashta
עֹשֵׂ֣י רִשְׁעָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
גַּ֧ם בָּחֲנ֛וּ [3] Tevir
אֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וַיִּמָּלֵֽטוּ׃ [1] Silluq

call the arrogant blessed; [1]
 
they have both been built up, [3]
those who work wickedness, [2]
 
and they have tested [3]
God, [2]
and they have escaped.’ [1]

יִרְאֵ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אִ֣ישׁ אֶל־רֵעֵ֑הוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּקְשֵׁ֤ב יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
וַיִּשְׁמָ֔ע [2] Zaqef
 
וַ֠יִּכָּתֵ֠ב [4 4] TelishaG
סֵ֣פֶר זִכָּר֤וֹן לְפָנָיו֙ [3] Pashta
לְיִרְאֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וּלְחֹשְׁבֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
שְׁמֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

those who fear the LORD, [2]
one with another; [1]
 
and the LORD paid attention [3]
and he listened, [2]

a document of remembrance before him [3]
for those who fear the LORD, [2]
 
and for those who honor [2]

אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲנִ֖י [2] Tip'cha

וְחָמַלְתִּ֣י עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef

הָעֹבֵ֥ד אֹתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

“In the day [2]

am making a possession; [1]
 
and I will have compassion on them, [2]

וּרְאִיתֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
בֵּ֥ין צַדִּ֖יק [2] Tip'cha
לְרָשָׁ֑ע [1] Etnachta
 
בֵּ֚ין [3] Yetiv
עֹבֵ֣ד אֱלֹהִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
לַאֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א עֲבָדֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

between the righteous [2]
and the wicked; [1]

one who serves God, [2]
 
and one who [2]

and all who work wickedness, [3]

“that [3]
it shall not leave for them [2]
root or branch. [1]
20 וְזָרְחָ֨ה לָכֶ֜ם [4] Geresh
יִרְאֵ֤י שְׁמִי֙ [3] Pashta
שֶׁ֣מֶשׁ צְדָקָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וּמַרְפֵּ֖א [2] Tip'cha
בִּכְנָפֶ֑יהָ [1] Etnachta
 
וִיצָאתֶ֥ם וּפִשְׁתֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
כְּעֶגְלֵ֥י מַרְבֵּֽק׃ [1] Silluq

who fear my name, [3]
the sun of righteousness, [2]
 
with healing [2]
in its wings; [1]
 
and you will go out and you will leap [2]
like calves from the stall. [1]
21 וְעַסּוֹתֶ֣ם רְשָׁעִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
כִּֽי־יִהְי֣וּ אֵ֔פֶר [2] Zaqef
תַּ֖חַת [2] Tip'cha
כַּפּ֣וֹת רַגְלֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
בַּיּוֹם֙ [3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֲנִ֣י עֹשֶׂ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

the soles of your feet; [1]

מֹשֶׁ֣ה עַבְדִּ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
אֲשֶׁר֩ צִוִּ֨יתִי אוֹת֤וֹ בְחֹרֵב֙ [3] Pashta
עַל־כׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
חֻקִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וּמִשְׁפָּטִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

עַל־אֲבוֹתָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
פֶּן־אָב֕וֹא [2] ZaqefG
וְהִכֵּיתִ֥י אֶת־הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
חֵֽרֶם׃ [1] Silluq

to sons, [2]
 
and the heart of sons [2]
to their fathers; [1]
 
lest I come [2]
and strike the land [2]
