1 The word of the LORD [4] that came [3] the Morashtite, [2] Ahaz, Hezekiah, [2] kings of Judah; [1] and Jerusalem. [1] |
|||
2 Hear [3] O peoples, all of them, [2] O earth and what fills it; [1] a witness, [2] from his holy temple. [1] |
|||
[1] Silluq |
3 For behold the LORD [2] is about to come forth from his place; [1] on the high places of the earth. [1] |
|||
4 And the mountains will melt [3] under him, [2] they will be split apart; [1] from before the fire, [2] poured out on a slope. [1] |

5 “For the transgression of Jacob [3] is all this, [2] of the house of Israel. [1] Is it not [3] Samaria? [2] are the high places of Judah? [2] Jerusalem? [1] |
|||
6 Therefore I will make Samaria [3] into a rubble heap of the field, [2] into a planting place for a vineyard; [1] its stones, [2] I will uncover. [1] |

7 And all her images will be crushed, [3] and all her temple gifts, [3 3] they will be burned with fire, [2] I will destroy; [1] from the hire of a prostitute [3] she has gathered them, [2] they shall return.” [1] |

8 For this [3] I will lament and I will wail, [2] and naked; [1] like the jackals, [2] like the daughters of an ostrich. [1] |

9 For incurable [2] are her wounds; [1] to Judah, [2] to the gate of my people, [2] to Jerusalem. [1] |

10 In Gath [3] do not tell, [2] do not weep; [1] (in the) dust [2] I have rolled myself. [1] |

11 Pass yourselves on [3] O inhabitants of Shaphir, [2] in nakedness and shame. [1] the inhabitant of Zaanan. [2] of Beth Ezel, [2] its protection. [1] |

12 For she waits anxiously for good, [2] the inhabitant of Maroth; [1] from the LORD, [2] of Jerusalem. [1] |
|||
13 Harness the chariot [3] to the steed, [2] O inhabitants of Lachish. [1] for the daughter of Zion, [2] the transgressions of Israel. [1] |

14 Therefore [3] you will give parting gifts [2] Moresheth Gath; [1] will become a deceitful thing [2] of Israel. [1] |
|||
15 Again, [3] the one who will dispossess [3] I will bring to you, [2] of Mareshah; [1] the glory of Israel. [1] |

3 Therefore [3] thus [3] says the LORD, [2] against this family [2] calamity; [1] you will not remove from it [4] your necks, [3] haughtily, [2] an evil time [2] it will be. [1] |

[1] Silluq |

7 Shall it be said, O house of Jacob, [3] “Is he angry, [3] the Spirit of the LORD? [2] his deeds? [1] do good [2] the one who walks blamelessly?” [1] |

8 But lately [3] my people [3] have risen up as an enemy. [2] the outer robe [2] you strip off; [1] returning [2] from battle. [1] |
|||
9 The women of my people [3] you drive out, [2] in which she lived happily; [1] her children [2] forever. [1] |

12 I will surely gather together [4] O Jacob, all of you. [3] the remnant of Israel. [2] like sheep in a sheepfold; [1] in the middle of its pasture, [2] with people. [1] |

13 The one who breaks open the way will go up [3] before them. [2] and they pass through [2] and they go out by it; [1] before them, [2] at their head. [1] ¶ |
