1 אֹהֵ֣ב מ֭וּסָר [3] Dechi
אֹ֣הֵֽב דָּ֑עַת [2] Etnachta
 
וְשׂוֹנֵ֖א תוֹכַ֣חַת [2] VRevMug
בָּֽעַר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 1 Whoever loves discipline [3]
loves knowledge; [2]
 
but whoever hates correction [2]
is stupid. [1]
2 ט֗וֹב [3] Revi'i
יָפִ֣יק רָ֭צוֹן [3] Dechi
מֵיְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְאִ֖ישׁ מְזִמּ֣וֹת [2] VRevMug
יַרְשִֽׁיעַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 2 One who is good, [3]
he obtains favor [3]
from the LORD; [2]
 
but a person with evil schemes [2]
he condemns as guilty. [1]
3 לֹא־יִכּ֣וֹן אָדָ֣ם [3] VDechi
בְּרֶ֑שַׁע [2] Etnachta
 
וְשֹׁ֥רֶשׁ צַ֝דִּיקִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בַּל־יִמּֽוֹט׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 No one is made secure [3]
by wickedness; [2]
 
but a righteous root, [2]
it shall not be moved. [1]
4 אֵֽשֶׁת־חַ֭יִל [3] Dechi
עֲטֶ֣רֶת בַּעְלָ֑הּ [2] Etnachta
 
וּכְרָקָ֖ב בְּעַצְמוֹתָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
מְבִישָֽׁה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 An excellent wife [3]
is the crown of her husband; [2]
 
but like rottenness in his bones [2]
is she who brings shame. [1]
5 מַחְשְׁב֣וֹת צַדִּיקִ֣ים [3] VDechi
מִשְׁפָּ֑ט [2] Etnachta
 
תַּחְבֻּל֖וֹת רְשָׁעִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
מִרְמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 The plans of the righteous [3]
are just; [2]
 
the advice of the wicked [2]
is deceitful. [1]
6 דִּבְרֵ֣י רְשָׁעִ֣ים [3] VDechi
אֱרׇב־דָּ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וּפִ֥י יְ֝שָׁרִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יַצִּילֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 The words of the wicked [3]
are to lie in wait for blood; [2]
 
but the mouth of the upright, [2]
it delivers them. [1]
7 הָפ֣וֹךְ רְשָׁעִ֣ים [3] VDechi
וְאֵינָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וּבֵ֖ית צַדִּיקִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יַעֲמֹֽד׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 The wicked are overthrown [3]
and are no more; [2]
 
but the house of the righteous, [2]
it shall stand. [1]
8 לְֽפִי־שִׂ֭כְלוֹ [3] Dechi
יְהֻלַּל־אִ֑ישׁ [2] Etnachta
 
וְנַעֲוֵה־לֵ֝֗ב [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִהְיֶ֥ה לָבֽוּז׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 According to his insight [3]
a man is praised; [2]
 
but one with a twisted mind, [2]
he is despised. [1]
9 ט֣וֹב נִ֭קְלֶה [3] Dechi
וְעֶ֣בֶד ל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
מִ֝מִּתְכַּבֵּ֗ד [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וַחֲסַר־לָֽחֶם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 Better is one who has little honor, [3]
and has a servant; [2]
 
than one who honors himself [2]
and lacks bread. [1]
10 יוֹדֵ֣עַ צַ֭דִּיק [3] Dechi
נֶ֣פֶשׁ בְּהֶמְתּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְֽרַחֲמֵ֥י רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַכְזָרִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 The righteous respects [3]
the life of his animal; [2]
 
but the compassion of the wicked [2]
is cruel. [1]
11 עֹבֵ֣ד אַ֭דְמָתוֹ [3] Dechi
יִֽשְׂבַּֽע־לָ֑חֶם [2] Etnachta
 
וּמְרַדֵּ֖ף רֵיקִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
חֲסַר־לֵֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 One who works his land, [3]
he shall have plenty of bread; [2]
 
but one who pursues worthless things [2]
lacks understanding. [1]
12 חָמַ֣ד רָ֭שָׁע [3] Dechi
מְצ֣וֹד רָעִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וְשֹׁ֖רֶשׁ צַדִּיקִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יִתֵּֽן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 The wicked covets [3]
the loot of evil men; [2]
 
but the root of the righteous, [2]
it bears fruit. [1]
13 בְּפֶ֣שַׁע שְׂ֭פָתַיִם [3] Dechi
מוֹקֵ֣שׁ רָ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
וַיֵּצֵ֖א מִצָּרָ֣ה [2] VRevMug
צַדִּֽיק׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 By the transgression of lips [3]
is an evil one ensnared; [2]
 
but he shall escape from trouble, [2]
the righteous. [1]
14 מִפְּרִ֣י פִי־אִ֭ישׁ [3] Dechi
יִשְׂבַּע־ט֑וֹב [2] Etnachta
 
וּגְמ֥וּל יְדֵי־אָ֝דָ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
*ישוב **יָשִׁ֥יב לֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 By the fruit of a man's mouth [3]
he shall be satisfied with good; [2]
 
and the work of a man’s hands, [2]
it will reward him. [1]
15 דֶּ֣רֶךְ אֱ֭וִיל [3] Dechi
יָשָׁ֣ר בְּעֵינָ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
וְשֹׁמֵ֖עַ לְעֵצָ֣ה [2] VRevMug
חָכָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 The way of a fool [3]
is right in his own eyes; [2]
 
but one who listens to counsel [2]
is wise. [1]
16 אֱוִ֗יל [3] Revi'i
בַּ֭יּוֹם [3] Dechi
יִוָּדַ֣ע כַּעְס֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְכֹסֶ֖ה קָל֣וֹן [2] VRevMug
עָרֽוּם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 16 A fool, [3]
at once [3]
his anger is known; [2]
 
but one who overlooks an insult [2]
is prudent. [1]
17 יָפִ֣יחַ אֱ֭מוּנָה [3] Dechi
יַגִּ֣יד צֶ֑דֶק [2] Etnachta
 
וְעֵ֖ד שְׁקָרִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
מִרְמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 He who breathes the truth, [3]
he declares righteousness; [2]
 
but a false witness, [2]
deceit. [1]
18 יֵ֣שׁ בּ֭וֹטֶה [3] Dechi
כְּמַדְקְר֣וֹת חָ֑רֶב [2] Etnachta
 
וּלְשׁ֖וֹן חֲכָמִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
מַרְפֵּֽא׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 Some speak rashly [3]
like thrusts of a sword; [2]
 
but the tongue of the wise [2]
brings healing. [1]
19 שְֽׂפַת־אֱ֭מֶת [3] Dechi
תִּכּ֣וֹן לָעַ֑ד [2] Etnachta
 
וְעַד־אַ֝רְגִּ֗יעָה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְשׁ֣וֹן שָֽׁקֶר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 Truthful lips [3]
endure forever; [2]
 
but only momentary [2]
is a lying tongue. [1]
20 מִ֭רְמָה [3] Dechi
בְּלֶב־חֹ֣רְשֵׁי רָ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
וּֽלְיֹעֲצֵ֖י שָׁל֣וֹם [2] VRevMug
שִׂמְחָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 Deceit [3]
is in the heart of those who devise evil; [2]
 
but those who promote peace have [2]
joy. [1]
21 לֹא־יְאֻנֶּ֣ה לַצַּדִּ֣יק [3] VDechi
כׇּל־אָ֑וֶן [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝רְשָׁעִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מָ֣לְאוּ רָֽע׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 It won't happen to the righteous, [3]
any harm; [2]
 
but the wicked, [2]
they are full of misery. [1]
22 תּוֹעֲבַ֣ת יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi
שִׂפְתֵי־שָׁ֑קֶר [2] Etnachta
 
וְעֹשֵׂ֖י אֱמוּנָ֣ה [2] VRevMug
רְצוֹנֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 Detestable to the LORD [3]
are lying lips; [2]
 
but those who act faithfully [2]
are his delight. [1]
23 אָדָ֣ם עָ֭רוּם [3] Dechi
כֹּ֣סֶה דָּ֑עַת [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֵ֥ב כְּ֝סִילִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִקְרָ֥א אִוֶּֽלֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 A prudent man [3]
conceals knowledge; [2]
 
but the heart of fools, [2]
it proclaims folly. [1]
24 יַד־חָרוּצִ֥ים תִּמְשׁ֑וֹל [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝רְמִיָּ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תִּהְיֶ֥ה לָמַֽס׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 24 The hand of the diligent shall rule; [2]
 
but the lazy [2]
will be put to forced labor. [1]
25 דְּאָגָ֣ה בְלֶב־אִ֣ישׁ [3] VDechi
יַשְׁחֶ֑נָּה [2] Etnachta
 
וְדָבָ֖ר ט֣וֹב [2] VRevMug
יְשַׂמְּחֶֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 25 Anxiety in a person’s heart, [3]
it weighs him down; [2]
 
but a good word, [2]
it makes him glad. [1]
26 יָתֵ֣ר מֵרֵעֵ֣הוּ [3] VDechi
צַדִּ֑יק [2] Etnachta
 
וְדֶ֖רֶךְ רְשָׁעִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
תַּתְעֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 He gives his friend guidance, [3]
a righteous person; [2]
 
but the way of the wicked, [2]
it misleads them. [1]
27 לֹא־יַחֲרֹ֣ךְ רְמִיָּ֣ה [3] VDechi
צֵיד֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְהוֹן־אָדָ֖ם יָקָ֣ר [2] VRevMug
חָרֽוּץ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 27 A lazy person doesn’t roast [3]
his hunted game; [2]
 
but he prizes his possessions, [2]
the diligent. [1]
28 בְּאֹֽרַח־צְדָקָ֥ה חַיִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וְדֶ֖רֶךְ נְתִיבָ֣הֿ [2] VRevMug
אַל־מָֽוֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 28 In the path of righteousness is life; [2]
 
and in its pathway [2]
is no death. [1]
