| 1 לְֽ֭תַאֲוָה [3] Dechi  יְבַקֵּ֣שׁ נִפְרָ֑ד [2] Etnachta יִתְגַּלָּֽע׃ [1] Silluq  | 
1 (His) desire [3]  he seeks, one who separates himself; [2] he rebels. [1]  |

| 2 לֹא־יַחְפֹּ֣ץ כְּ֭סִיל [3] Dechi  בִּתְבוּנָ֑ה [2] Etnachta אִֽם־בְּהִתְגַּלּ֥וֹת לִבּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
2 A fool has no delight [3]  in understanding; [2] only in expressing his own opinion. [1]  |

| 3 בְּֽבוֹא־רָ֭שָׁע [3] Dechi  בָּ֣א גַם־בּ֑וּז [2] Etnachta  | 
3 When wickedness comes, [3]  contempt comes also; [2]  |

| 4 מַ֣יִם עֲ֭מֻקִּים [3] Dechi  דִּבְרֵ֣י פִי־אִ֑ישׁ [2] Etnachta מְק֣וֹר חׇכְמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq  | 
4 Deep waters [3]  are the words of a man’s mouth; [2] is the fountain of wisdom. [1]  |

| 5 שְׂאֵ֣ת פְּנֵֽי־רָשָׁ֣ע [3] VDechi  לֹא־ט֑וֹב [2] Etnachta בַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃ [1] Silluq  | 
5 To be partial to the wicked [3]  is not good; [2] in judgement. [1]  |

| 6 שִׂפְתֵ֣י כְ֭סִיל [3] Dechi  יָבֹ֣אוּ בְרִ֑יב [2] Etnachta לְֽמַהֲלֻמ֥וֹת יִקְרָֽא׃ [1] Silluq  | 
6 The lips of a fool, [3]  they enter into an argument; [2] it calls for beatings. [1]  |

| 7 פִּֽי־כְ֭סִיל [3] Dechi  מְחִתָּה־ל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta מוֹקֵ֥שׁ נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
7 The mouth of a fool [3]  is his ruin; [2] are a snare to his soul. [1]  |

| 8 דִּבְרֵ֣י נִ֭רְגָּן [3] Dechi  כְּמִֽתְלַהֲמִ֑ים [2] Etnachta יָרְד֥וּ חַדְרֵי־בָֽטֶן׃ [1] Silluq  | 
8 The words of a gossip [3]  are like dainty morsels; [2] they go down into the innermost being. [1]  |

| 9 גַּ֭ם [3] Dechi  מִתְרַפֶּ֣ה בִמְלַאכְתּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta לְבַ֣עַל מַשְׁחִֽית׃ [1] Silluq  | 
9 And [3]  one who is slack in his work; [2] to a master of destruction. [1]  |

| 10 מִגְדַּל־עֹ֭ז [3] Dechi  שֵׁ֣ם יְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta וְנִשְׂגָּֽב׃ [1] Silluq  | 
10 A strong tower [3]  is the name of the LORD; [2] and he is set safely on high. [1]  |

| 11 ה֣וֹן עָ֭שִׁיר [3] Dechi  קִרְיַ֣ת עֻזּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta בְּמַשְׂכִּתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
11 The wealth of the rich [3]  is his strong city; [2] in his own imagination. [1]  |

| 12 לִפְנֵי־שֶׁ֭בֶר [3] Dechi  יִגְבַּ֣הּ לֶב־אִ֑ישׁ [2] Etnachta עֲנָוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq  | 
12 Before destruction, [3]  proud is the heart of man; [2] humility. [1]  |

| 13 מֵשִׁ֣יב דָּ֭בָר [3] Dechi  בְּטֶ֣רֶם יִשְׁמָ֑ע [2] Etnachta וּכְלִמָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq  | 
13 One who answers [3]  before he listens, [2] and shame. [1]  |

| 14 רֽוּחַ־אִ֭ישׁ [3] Dechi  יְכַלְכֵּ֣ל מַחֲלֵ֑הוּ [2] Etnachta מִ֣י יִשָּׂאֶֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq  | 
14 The spirit of a man, [3]  it will endure his sickness; [2] who can bear? [1]  |

| 15 לֵ֣ב נָ֭בוֹן [3] Dechi  יִקְנֶה־דָּ֑עַת [2] Etnachta תְּבַקֶּשׁ־דָּֽעַת׃ [1] Silluq  | 
15 A discerning heart, [3]  it acquires knowledge; [2] it seeks knowledge. [1]  |

| 16 מַתָּ֣ן אָ֭דָם [3] Dechi  יַרְחִ֣יב ל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta יַנְחֶֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
16 The gift of a man, [3]  it makes room for him; [2] it leads him. [1]  |

| 17 צַדִּ֣יק הָרִאשׁ֣וֹן [3] VDechi  בְּרִיב֑וֹ [2] Etnachta וַחֲקָרֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
17 Right is the first [3]  who pleads his case; [2] and he questions him. [1]  |

| 18 מִ֭דְיָנִים [3] Dechi  יַשְׁבִּ֣ית הַגּוֹרָ֑ל [2] Etnachta יַפְרִֽיד׃ [1] Silluq  | 
18 Disputes, [3]  the lot settles; [2] it decides. [1]  |

| 19 אָ֗ח [3] Revi'i  נִפְשָׁ֥ע מִקִּרְיַת־עֹ֑ז [2] Etnachta כִּבְרִ֥יחַ אַרְמֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq  | 
19 A brother [3]  offended is as unyielding as a fortified city; [2] are like the bars of a fortress. [1]  |

| 20 מִפְּרִ֣י פִי־אִ֭ישׁ [3] Dechi  תִּשְׂבַּ֣ע בִּטְנ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta יִשְׂבָּֽע׃ [1] Silluq  | 
20 From the fruit of a man’s mouth [3]  his stomach is satisfied; [2] he is satisfied. [1]  |

| 21 מָ֣וֶת וְ֭חַיִּים [3] Dechi  בְּיַד־לָשׁ֑וֹן [2] Etnachta יֹאכַ֥ל פִּרְיָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
21 Death and life [3]  are in the power of the tongue; [2] will eat its fruit. [1]  |

| 22 מָצָ֣א אִ֭שָּׁה [3] Dechi  מָ֣צָא ט֑וֹב [2] Etnachta מֵיְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq  | 
22 Whoever finds a wife, [3]  he finds a good thing; [2] from the LORD. [1]  |

| 23 תַּחֲנוּנִ֥ים יְדַבֶּר־רָ֑שׁ [2] Etnachta  יַעֲנֶ֥ה עַזּֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq  | 
23 The poor plead for help; [2]  he answers harshly. [1]  |

| 24 אִ֣ישׁ רֵ֭עִים [3] Dechi  לְהִתְרֹעֵ֑עַ [2] Etnachta דָּבֵ֥ק מֵאָֽח׃ [1] Silluq  | 
24 A man with many friends [3]  may be ruined by them; [2] who sticks closer than a brother. [1]  |
