1 לְֽ֭תַאֲוָה [3] Dechi
יְבַקֵּ֣שׁ נִפְרָ֑ד [2] Etnachta
 
בְּכׇל־תּ֝וּשִׁיָּ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִתְגַּלָּֽע׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 1 (His) desire [3]
he seeks, one who separates himself; [2]
 
against all sound judgment [2]
he rebels. [1]
2 לֹא־יַחְפֹּ֣ץ כְּ֭סִיל [3] Dechi
בִּתְבוּנָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
כִּ֝֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אִֽם־בְּהִתְגַּלּ֥וֹת לִבּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 A fool has no delight [3]
in understanding; [2]
 
but [2]
only in expressing his own opinion. [1]
3 בְּֽבוֹא־רָ֭שָׁע [3] Dechi
בָּ֣א גַם־בּ֑וּז [2] Etnachta
 
וְֽעִם־קָל֥וֹן חֶרְפָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 When wickedness comes, [3]
contempt comes also; [2]
 
and with shame, disgrace. [1]
4 מַ֣יִם עֲ֭מֻקִּים [3] Dechi
דִּבְרֵ֣י פִי־אִ֑ישׁ [2] Etnachta
 
נַ֥חַל נֹ֝בֵ֗עַ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מְק֣וֹר חׇכְמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 Deep waters [3]
are the words of a man’s mouth; [2]
 
a flowing brook [2]
is the fountain of wisdom. [1]
5 שְׂאֵ֣ת פְּנֵֽי־רָשָׁ֣ע [3] VDechi
לֹא־ט֑וֹב [2] Etnachta
 
לְהַטּ֥וֹת צַ֝דִּ֗יק [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 To be partial to the wicked [3]
is not good; [2]
 
to turn aside the righteous [2]
in judgement. [1]
6 שִׂפְתֵ֣י כְ֭סִיל [3] Dechi
יָבֹ֣אוּ בְרִ֑יב [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝פִ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְֽמַהֲלֻמ֥וֹת יִקְרָֽא׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 The lips of a fool, [3]
they enter into an argument; [2]
 
and his mouth, [2]
it calls for beatings. [1]
7 פִּֽי־כְ֭סִיל [3] Dechi
מְחִתָּה־ל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝שְׂפָתָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מוֹקֵ֥שׁ נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 The mouth of a fool [3]
is his ruin; [2]
 
and his lips [2]
are a snare to his soul. [1]
8 דִּבְרֵ֣י נִ֭רְגָּן [3] Dechi
כְּמִֽתְלַהֲמִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝הֵ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יָרְד֥וּ חַדְרֵי־בָֽטֶן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 The words of a gossip [3]
are like dainty morsels; [2]
 
and they, [2]
they go down into the innermost being. [1]
9 גַּ֭ם [3] Dechi
מִתְרַפֶּ֣ה בִמְלַאכְתּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
אָ֥ח ה֝֗וּא [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְבַ֣עַל מַשְׁחִֽית׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 And [3]
one who is slack in his work; [2]
 
he is a brother [2]
to a master of destruction. [1]
10 מִגְדַּל־עֹ֭ז [3] Dechi
שֵׁ֣ם יְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
בּֽוֹ־יָר֖וּץ צַדִּ֣יק [2] VRevMug
וְנִשְׂגָּֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 A strong tower [3]
is the name of the LORD; [2]
 
the righteous runs into it, [2]
and he is set safely on high. [1]
11 ה֣וֹן עָ֭שִׁיר [3] Dechi
קִרְיַ֣ת עֻזּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וּכְחוֹמָ֥ה נִ֝שְׂגָּבָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּמַשְׂכִּתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 The wealth of the rich [3]
is his strong city; [2]
 
and like a high wall [2]
in his own imagination. [1]
12 לִפְנֵי־שֶׁ֭בֶר [3] Dechi
יִגְבַּ֣הּ לֶב־אִ֑ישׁ [2] Etnachta
 
וְלִפְנֵ֖י כָב֣וֹד [2] VRevMug
עֲנָוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 Before destruction, [3]
proud is the heart of man; [2]
 
but before honor, [2]
humility. [1]
13 מֵשִׁ֣יב דָּ֭בָר [3] Dechi
בְּטֶ֣רֶם יִשְׁמָ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
אִוֶּ֥לֶת הִיא־ל֝֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וּכְלִמָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 One who answers [3]
before he listens, [2]
 
it is his folly [2]
and shame. [1]
14 רֽוּחַ־אִ֭ישׁ [3] Dechi
יְכַלְכֵּ֣ל מַחֲלֵ֑הוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְר֥וּחַ נְ֝כֵאָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִ֣י יִשָּׂאֶֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 The spirit of a man, [3]
it will endure his sickness; [2]
 
but a crushed spirit, [2]
who can bear? [1]
15 לֵ֣ב נָ֭בוֹן [3] Dechi
יִקְנֶה־דָּ֑עַת [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֹ֥זֶן חֲ֝כָמִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תְּבַקֶּשׁ־דָּֽעַת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 A discerning heart, [3]
it acquires knowledge; [2]
 
and the ear of the wise, [2]
it seeks knowledge. [1]
16 מַתָּ֣ן אָ֭דָם [3] Dechi
יַרְחִ֣יב ל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְלִפְנֵ֖י גְדֹלִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יַנְחֶֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 The gift of a man, [3]
it makes room for him; [2]
 
and before the great [2]
it leads him. [1]
17 צַדִּ֣יק הָרִאשׁ֣וֹן [3] VDechi
בְּרִיב֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
*יבא **וּבָֽא־רֵ֝עֵ֗הוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וַחֲקָרֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 Right is the first [3]
who pleads his case; [2]
 
until his neighbor comes, [2]
and he questions him. [1]
18 מִ֭דְיָנִים [3] Dechi
יַשְׁבִּ֣ית הַגּוֹרָ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
וּבֵ֖ין עֲצוּמִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יַפְרִֽיד׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 Disputes, [3]
the lot settles; [2]
 
and between the mighty, [2]
it decides. [1]
19 אָ֗ח [3] Revi'i
נִפְשָׁ֥ע מִקִּרְיַת־עֹ֑ז [2] Etnachta
 
*ומדונים **וּ֝מִדְיָנִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּבְרִ֥יחַ אַרְמֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 A brother [3]
offended is as unyielding as a fortified city; [2]
 
and disputes [2]
are like the bars of a fortress. [1]
20 מִפְּרִ֣י פִי־אִ֭ישׁ [3] Dechi
תִּשְׂבַּ֣ע בִּטְנ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
תְּבוּאַ֖ת שְׂפָתָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
יִשְׂבָּֽע׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 From the fruit of a man’s mouth [3]
his stomach is satisfied; [2]
 
by the yield of his lips [2]
he is satisfied. [1]
21 מָ֣וֶת וְ֭חַיִּים [3] Dechi
בְּיַד־לָשׁ֑וֹן [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אֹהֲבֶ֗יהָ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יֹאכַ֥ל פִּרְיָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 Death and life [3]
are in the power of the tongue; [2]
 
and those who love it [2]
will eat its fruit. [1]
22 מָצָ֣א אִ֭שָּׁה [3] Dechi
מָ֣צָא ט֑וֹב [2] Etnachta
 
וַיָּ֥פֶק רָ֝צ֗וֹן [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מֵיְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 Whoever finds a wife, [3]
he finds a good thing; [2]
 
and he obtains favor [2]
from the LORD. [1]
23 תַּחֲנוּנִ֥ים יְדַבֶּר־רָ֑שׁ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝עָשִׁ֗יר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יַעֲנֶ֥ה עַזּֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 23 The poor plead for help; [2]
 
but the rich, [2]
he answers harshly. [1]
24 אִ֣ישׁ רֵ֭עִים [3] Dechi
לְהִתְרֹעֵ֑עַ [2] Etnachta
 
וְיֵ֥שׁ אֹ֝הֵ֗ב [2] Revi'i Mugrash
דָּבֵ֥ק מֵאָֽח׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 24 A man with many friends [3]
may be ruined by them; [2]
 
but there is a friend [2]
who sticks closer than a brother. [1]
