1 פַּלְגֵי־מַ֣יִם לֶב־מֶ֭לֶךְ [3] Dechi
בְּיַד־יְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
עַֽל־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁ֖ר יַחְפֹּ֣ץ [2] VRevMug
יַטֶּֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 1 Streams of water is the heart of a king [3]
in the hand of the LORD; [2]
 
wherever he chooses, [2]
he directs it. [1]
2 כׇּֽל־דֶּרֶךְ־אִ֭ישׁ [3] Dechi
יָשָׁ֣ר בְּעֵינָ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
וְתֹכֵ֖ן לִבּ֣וֹת [2] VRevMug
יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 Every way of a man [3]
is right in his own eyes; [2]
 
but the one who weighs hearts [2]
is the LORD. [1]
3 עֲ֭שֹׂה [3] Dechi
צְדָקָ֣ה וּמִשְׁפָּ֑ט [2] Etnachta
 
נִבְחָ֖ר לַיהֹוָ֣ה [2] VRevMug
מִזָּֽבַח׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 To do [3]
righteousness and justice; [2]
 
is acceptable to the LORD [2]
more than sacrifice. [1]
4 רוּם־עֵ֭ינַיִם [3] Dechi
וּרְחַב־לֵ֑ב [2] Etnachta
 
נִ֖ר רְשָׁעִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
חַטָּֽאת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 Arrogant eyes [3]
and a proud heart; [2]
 
the lamp of the wicked - [2]
are sin. [1]
5 מַחְשְׁב֣וֹת חָ֭רוּץ [3] Dechi
אַךְ־לְמוֹתָ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
וְכׇל־אָ֝֗ץ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַךְ־לְמַחְסֽוֹר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 The plans of the diligent [3]
(lead) only to abundance; [2]
 
but of every one that is hasty, [2]
only to want. [1]
6 פֹּ֣עַל אֹ֭צָרוֹת [3] Dechi
בִּלְשׁ֣וֹן שָׁ֑קֶר [2] Etnachta
 
הֶ֥בֶל נִ֝דָּ֗ף [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מְבַקְשֵׁי־מָֽוֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 Getting treasures [3]
by a lying tongue; [2]
 
is a vapor driven about [2]
by those who seek death. [1]
7 שֹׁד־רְשָׁעִ֥ים יְגוֹרֵ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
כִּ֥י מֵ֝אֲנ֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 7 The violence of the wicked will drag them away; [2]
 
because they refuse [2]
to do what is just. [1]
8 הֲפַכְפַּ֬ךְ דֶּ֣רֶךְ אִ֣ישׁ [3] VDechi
וָזָ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝זַ֗ךְ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יָשָׁ֥ר פׇּעֳלֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 Crooked is the way of the one [3]
who is guilty; [2]
 
but the pure, [2]
upright is his conduct. [1]
9 ט֗וֹב [3] Revi'i
לָשֶׁ֥בֶת עַל־פִּנַּת־גָּ֑ג [2] Etnachta
 
מֵאֵ֥שֶׁת מִ֝דְיָנִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וּבֵ֥ית חָֽבֶר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 Good it is [3]
to live in the corner of a housetop; [2]
 
more than (with) a contentious woman [2]
and a house of company. [1]
10 נֶ֣פֶשׁ רָ֭שָׁע [3] Dechi
אִוְּתָה־רָ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
לֹֽא־יֻחַ֖ן בְּעֵינָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
רֵעֵֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 The soul of the wicked, [3]
it craves evil; [2]
 
he finds no favor in his eyes, [2]
his neighbor. [1]
11 בַּֽעֲנׇשׁ־לֵ֭ץ [3] Dechi
יֶחְכַּם־פֶּ֑תִי [2] Etnachta
 
וּבְהַשְׂכִּ֥יל לְ֝חָכָ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִקַּח־דָּֽעַת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 When a mocker is punished, [3]
the simple gains wisdom; [2]
 
and when the wise is instructed, [2]
he gains knowledge. [1]
12 מַשְׂכִּ֣יל צַ֭דִּיק [3] Dechi
לְבֵ֣ית רָשָׁ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
מְסַלֵּ֖ף רְשָׁעִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
לָרָֽע׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 The righteous one pays attention [3]
to the house of the wicked; [2]
 
he brings the wicked [2]
to ruin. [1]
13 אֹטֵ֣ם אׇ֭זְנוֹ [3] Dechi
מִזַּעֲקַת־דָּ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
גַּֽם־ה֥וּא יִ֝קְרָ֗א [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְלֹ֣א יֵעָנֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 Whoever shuts his ears [3]
from the cry of the poor; [2]
 
he, he too will cry out, [2]
and he will not be answered. [1]
14 מַתָּ֣ן בַּ֭סֵּתֶר [3] Dechi
יִכְפֶּה־אָ֑ף [2] Etnachta
 
וְשֹׁ֥חַד בַּ֝חֵ֗ק [2] Revi'i Mugrash
חֵמָ֥ה עַזָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 A gift in secret, [3]
it pacifies anger; [2]
 
and a concealed bribe, [2]
strong wrath. [1]
15 שִׂמְחָ֣ה לַ֭צַּדִּיק [3] Dechi
עֲשׂ֣וֹת מִשְׁפָּ֑ט [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מְחִתָּ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְפֹ֣עֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 It is a joy to the righteous [3]
to do justice; [2]
 
but terror [2]
to the workers of iniquity. [1]
16 אָדָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
תּ֭וֹעֶה [3] Dechi
מִדֶּ֣רֶךְ הַשְׂכֵּ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
בִּקְהַ֖ל רְפָאִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יָנֽוּחַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 16 A man [3]
who wanders [3]
from the path of understanding; [2]
 
in the assembly of the departed spirits [2]
he shall rest. [1]
17 אִ֣ישׁ מַ֭חְסוֹר [3] Dechi
אֹהֵ֣ב שִׂמְחָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
אֹהֵ֥ב יַֽיִן־וָ֝שֶׁ֗מֶן [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א יַעֲשִֽׁיר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 A poor man, [3]
one who loves pleasure will be; [2]
 
one who loves wine and oil, [2]
he will not gain riches. [1]
18 כֹּ֣פֶר לַצַּדִּ֣יק [3] VDechi
רָשָׁ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
וְתַ֖חַת יְשָׁרִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
בּוֹגֵֽד׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 A ransom for the righteous [3]
is the wicked; [2]
 
and in place of the upright, [2]
the treacherous. [1]
19 ט֗וֹב [3] Revi'i
שֶׁ֥בֶת בְּאֶֽרֶץ־מִדְבָּ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
מֵאֵ֖שֶׁת *מדונים **מִדְיָנִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
וָכָֽעַס׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 It is good [3]
to dwell in a desert land; [2]
 
more than with a woman of contention [2]
and anger. [1]
20 אוֹצָ֤ר ׀ נֶחְמָ֣ד וָ֭שֶׁמֶן [3] Dechi
בִּנְוֵ֣ה חָכָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וּכְסִ֖יל אָדָ֣ם [2] VRevMug
יְבַלְּעֶֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 Treasure of value and oil [3]
are in the dwelling of the wise; [2]
 
but a foolish man, [2]
he swallows it up. [1]
21 רֹ֭דֵף [3] Dechi
צְדָקָ֣ה וָחָ֑סֶד [2] Etnachta
 
יִמְצָ֥א חַ֝יִּ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
צְדָקָ֥ה וְכָבֽוֹד׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 One who pursues [3]
righteousness and kindness; [2]
 
he finds life, [2]
righteousness and honor. [1]
22 עִ֣יר גִּ֭בֹּרִים [3] Dechi
עָלָ֣ה חָכָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וַ֝יֹּ֗רֶד [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עֹ֣ז מִבְטֶחָֽהֿ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 The city of the mighty, [3]
a wise man scales; [2]
 
and he brings down [2]
the stronghold in which they trust. [1]
23 שֹׁמֵ֣ר פִּ֭יו [3] Dechi
וּלְשׁוֹנ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
שֹׁמֵ֖ר מִצָּר֣וֹת [2] VRevMug
נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 Whoever guards his mouth [3]
and his tongue; [2]
 
from troubles guards [2]
his soul. [1]
24 זֵ֣ד יָ֭הִיר [3] Dechi
לֵ֣ץ שְׁמ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
ע֝וֹשֶׂ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּעֶבְרַ֥ת זָדֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 24 Proud, arrogant, [3]
“Scoffer” is his name; [2]
 
who acts [2]
in overbearing pride. [1]
25 תַּאֲוַ֣ת עָצֵ֣ל [3] VDechi
תְּמִיתֶ֑נּוּ [2] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־מֵאֲנ֖וּ יָדָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 25 The desire of a sluggard, [3]
it kills him; [2]
 
for his hands refuse [2]
to work. [1]
26 כׇּל־הַ֭יּוֹם [3] Dechi
הִתְאַוָּ֣ה תַאֲוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְצַדִּ֥יק יִ֝תֵּ֗ן [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְלֹ֣א יַחְשֹֽׂךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 All day long [3]
he craves and craves; [2]
 
but the righteous gives [2]
without holding back. [1]
27 זֶ֣בַח רְ֭שָׁעִים [3] Dechi
תּוֹעֵבָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
אַ֝֗ף [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּֽי־בְזִמָּ֥ה יְבִיאֶֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 27 The sacrifice of the wicked [3]
is an abomination; [2]
 
how much more [2]
when with evil intent he brings it. [1]
28 עֵד־כְּזָבִ֥ים יֹאבֵ֑ד [2] Etnachta
 
וְאִ֥ישׁ שׁ֝וֹמֵ֗עַ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לָנֶ֥צַח יְדַבֵּֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 28 A false witness will perish; [2]
 
but a man who listens, [2]
his words will endure. [1]
29 הֵעֵ֬ז אִ֣ישׁ רָשָׁ֣ע [3] VDechi
בְּפָנָ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝יָשָׁ֗ר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
ה֤וּא ׀ [4/2] Mahpakh Legarmeh
*יכין *דרכיו **יָבִ֬ין **דַּרְכּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 29 A wicked man puts a bold look [3]
on his face; [2]
 
but the upright, [2]
he, [4/2]
he gives thought to his way. [1]
30 אֵ֣ין חׇ֭כְמָה [3] Dechi
וְאֵ֣ין תְּבוּנָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֵ֥ין עֵ֝צָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְנֶ֣גֶד יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

and no understanding; [2]
 
and no counsel [2]
can stand against the LORD. [1]

מ֭וּכָן [3] Dechi
לְי֣וֹם מִלְחָמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝לַיהֹוָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
הַתְּשׁוּעָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 31 A horse [3]
is prepared [3]
for the day of battle; [2]
 
but to the LORD belongs [2]
the victory. [1]
