1 הֲלֹֽא־חׇכְמָ֥ה תִקְרָ֑א [2] Etnachta תִּתֵּ֥ן קוֹלָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq |
1 Doesn’t wisdom cry out; [2] doesn’t she raise her voice? [1] |

2 בְּרֹאשׁ־מְרֹמִ֥ים עֲלֵי־דָ֑רֶךְ [2] Etnachta נִצָּֽבָה׃ [1] Silluq |
2 At the highest point along the way; [2] she takes her stand. [1] |
|||
3 לְיַד־שְׁעָרִ֥ים לְפִי־קָ֑רֶת [2] Etnachta תָּרֹֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq |
3 Beside the gates entering the city; [2] she cries aloud, [1] |
|||
4 אֲלֵיכֶ֣ם אִישִׁ֣ים [3] VDechi אֶקְרָ֑א [2] Etnachta אֶל־בְּנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
4 “To you O people [3] I call; [2] is to the sons of mankind. [1] |

5 הָבִ֣ינוּ פְתָאיִ֣ם [3] VDechi עׇרְמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta הָבִ֥ינוּ לֵֽב׃ [1] Silluq |
5 Understand O simple, [3] prudence; [2] understand wisdom! [1] |

6 שִׁ֭מְעוּ [3] Dechi כִּֽי־נְגִידִ֣ים אֲדַבֵּ֑ר [2] Etnachta מֵישָׁרִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
6 Listen, [3] for excellent things I speak; [2] is uprightness. [1] |

7 כִּֽי־אֱ֭מֶת [3] Dechi יֶהְגֶּ֣ה חִכִּ֑י [2] Etnachta רֶֽשַׁע׃ [1] Silluq |
7 For truth [3] my mouth speaks; [2] is wickedness. [1] |

8 בְּצֶ֥דֶק כׇּל־אִמְרֵי־פִ֑י [2] Etnachta נִפְתָּ֥ל וְעִקֵּֽשׁ׃ [1] Silluq |
8 In righteousness are all the words of my mouth; [2] crooked or perverse. [1] |

9 כֻּלָּ֣ם נְ֭כֹחִים [3] Dechi לַמֵּבִ֑ין [2] Etnachta לְמֹ֣צְאֵי דָֽעַת׃ [1] Silluq |
9 They are all straightforward [3] to the one who has understanding; [2] to those who find knowledge. [1] |

10 קְחֽוּ־מוּסָרִ֥י וְאַל־כָּ֑סֶף [2] Etnachta מֵחָר֥וּץ נִבְחָֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
10 Receive my instruction rather than silver; [2] rather than choice gold. [1] |

11 כִּֽי־טוֹבָ֣ה חׇ֭כְמָה [3] Dechi מִפְּנִינִ֑ים [2] Etnachta לֹ֣א יִֽשְׁווּ־בָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq |
11 For wisdom is good [3] more than jewels; [2] they don't compare with it. [1] |

12 אֲֽנִי־חׇ֭כְמָה [3] Dechi שָׁכַ֣נְתִּי עׇרְמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta אֶמְצָֽא׃ [1] Silluq |
12 “I, wisdom, [3] I dwell with prudence; [2] I find. [1] |

13 יִ֥רְאַ֣ת יְהֹוָה֮ [3] Sinnor שְֽׂנֹ֫את רָ֥ע [2] Ole Veyored וְדֶ֣רֶךְ רָ֭ע [3] Dechi וּפִ֨י תַהְפֻּכ֬וֹת [2] VRevMug שָׂנֵֽאתִי׃ [1] Silluq |
13 The fear of the LORD [3] is to hate evil; [2] and an evil way, [3] and a perverse mouth, [2] I hate. [1] |

14 לִֽי־עֵ֭צָה [3] Dechi וְתוּשִׁיָּ֑ה [2] Etnachta לִ֣י גְבוּרָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
14 Mine are counsel [3] and sound wisdom; [2] I have strength. [1] |

15 בִּ֭י [3] Dechi מְלָכִ֣ים יִמְלֹ֑כוּ [2] Etnachta יְחֹ֣קְקוּ צֶֽדֶק׃ [1] Silluq |
15 By me [3] kings reign; [2] they decree justice. [1] |

16 בִּ֭י [3] Dechi שָׂרִ֣ים יָשֹׂ֑רוּ [2] Etnachta כׇּל־שֹׁ֥פְטֵי צֶֽדֶק׃ [1] Silluq |
16 By me [3] princes rule; [2] all who judge righteously. [1] |

17 אֲ֭נִי [3] Dechi *אהביה **אֹהֲבַ֣י אֵהָ֑ב [2] Etnachta יִמְצָאֻֽנְנִי׃ [1] Silluq |
17 I, [3] I love those who love me; [2] they find me. [1] |

18 עֹֽשֶׁר־וְכָב֥וֹד אִתִּ֑י [2] Etnachta וּצְדָקָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
18 Wealth and honor are with me; [2] and righteousness. [1] |
|||
19 ט֣וֹב פִּ֭רְיִי [3] Dechi מֵחָר֣וּץ וּמִפָּ֑ז [2] Etnachta מִכֶּ֥סֶף נִבְחָֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
19 Good is my fruit [3] more than gold, even pure gold; [2] more than choice silver. [1] |

20 בְּאֹֽרַח־צְדָקָ֥ה אֲהַלֵּ֑ךְ [2] Etnachta נְתִיב֥וֹת מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ [1] Silluq |
20 In the path of righteousness I walk; [2] of the paths of justice, [1] |
|||
21 לְהַנְחִ֖יל אֹהֲבַ֥י ׀ יֵ֑שׁ [2] Etnachta אֲמַלֵּֽא׃ [1] Silluq |
21 to grant as an inheritance substance to those who love me; [2] I fill. [1] ¶ |

22 יְֽהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i קָ֭נָנִי [3] Dechi רֵאשִׁ֣ית דַּרְכּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta מֵאָֽז׃ [1] Silluq |
22 “The LORD, [3] he brought me forth, [3] the beginning of his way; [2] of old. [1] |

23 From eternity [3] I was established from the beginning, [3/2] before the world began. [1] |

24 בְּאֵין־תְּהֹמ֥וֹת חוֹלָ֑לְתִּי [2] Etnachta נִכְבַּדֵּי־מָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq |
24 When there were no depths I was brought forth; [2] abounding with water. [1] |

25 בְּטֶ֣רֶם הָרִ֣ים [3] VDechi הׇטְבָּ֑עוּ [2] Etnachta חוֹלָֽלְתִּי׃ [1] Silluq |
25 Before the mountains, [3] they were shaped; [2] I was brought forth, [1] |
|||
26 עַד־לֹ֣א עָ֭שָׂה [3] Dechi אֶ֣רֶץ וְחוּצ֑וֹת [2] Etnachta עַפְר֥וֹת תֵּבֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq |
26 when he had not yet made [3] the land or the fields; [2] of the dust of the world. [1] |

27 בַּהֲכִינ֣וֹ שָׁ֭מַיִם [3] Dechi שָׁ֣ם אָ֑נִי [2] Etnachta עַל־פְּנֵ֥י תְהֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq |
27 When he established the heavens, [3] I was there; [2] on the face of the deep, [1] |

28 בְּאַמְּצ֣וֹ שְׁחָקִ֣ים [3] VDechi מִמָּ֑עַל [2] Etnachta עִינ֥וֹת תְּהֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq |
28 when he made firm the clouds [3] above; [2] the fountains of the deep, [1] |

29 בְּשׂ֘וּמ֤וֹ לַיָּ֨ם ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh חֻקּ֗וֹ [3] Revi'i לֹ֣א יַֽעַבְרוּ־פִ֑יו [2] Etnachta מ֣וֹסְדֵי אָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq |
29 when he set for the sea [4] its limit, [3] should not violate his command; [2] the foundations of the earth, [1] |

30 וָאֶהְיֶ֥ה אֶצְל֗וֹ [3] Revi'i אָ֫מ֥וֹן [2] Ole Veyored י֤וֹם ׀ [4/3] Mahpakh Legarmeh י֑וֹם [2] Etnachta בְּכׇל־עֵֽת׃ [1] Silluq |
30 then I was by his side [3] a craftsman; [2] day [4/3] by day, [2] at all times, [1] |

31 מְ֭שַׂחֶקֶת [3] Dechi בְּתֵבֵ֣ל אַרְצ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta אֶת־בְּנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq פ |
31 rejoicing [3] in his whole world; [2] was with the sons of men. [1] ¶ |

32 וְעַתָּ֣ה בָ֭נִים [3] Dechi שִׁמְעוּ־לִ֑י [2] Etnachta דְּרָכַ֥י יִשְׁמֹֽרוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
32 “Now therefore O sons, [3] listen to me; [2] are those who keep my ways. [1] |

33 שִׁמְע֖וּ מוּסָ֥ר וַחֲכָ֗מוּ [3/2] Revi'i וְאַל־תִּפְרָֽעוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
33 Listen to correction and be wise, [3/2] and do not neglect it. [1] |

34 אַ֥שְֽׁרֵי אָדָם֮ [3] Sinnor שֹׁמֵ֢עַֽ֫ לִ֥י [2] Ole Veyored י֤וֹם ׀ [4/3] Mahpakh Legarmeh י֑וֹם [2] Etnachta מְזוּזֹ֥ת פְּתָחָֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
34 How blessed is the man [3] who listens to me; [2] day [4/3] by day, [2] at my doorposts. [1] |

35 כִּ֣י מֹ֭צְאִי [3] Dechi *מצאי **מָצָ֣א חַיִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta מֵיְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
35 For whoever finds me, [3] he finds life; [2] from the LORD. [1] |
|||
36 וְֽ֭חֹטְאִי [3] Dechi חֹמֵ֣ס נַפְשׁ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta אָ֣הֲבוּ מָֽוֶת׃ [1] Silluq |
36 But one who fails to find me [3] wrongs his own soul; [2] they love death.” [1] ¶ |
