1 חׇ֭כְמוֹת [3] Dechi
בָּנְתָ֣ה בֵיתָ֑הּ [2] Etnachta
 
חָצְבָ֖ה עַמּוּדֶ֣יהָ [2] VRevMug
שִׁבְעָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 1 Wisdom, [3]
she has built her house; [2]
 
she has carved out her pillars [2]
seven. [1]
2 טָבְחָ֣ה טִ֭בְחָהּ [3] Dechi
מָסְכָ֣ה יֵינָ֑הּ [2] Etnachta
 
אַ֝֗ף [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עָרְכָ֥ה שֻׁלְחָנָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 She has slaughtered her meat, [3]
she has mixed her wine; [2]
 
also [2]
she has set her table. [1]
3 שָׁלְחָ֣ה נַעֲרֹתֶ֣יהָ [3] VDechi
תִקְרָ֑א [2] Etnachta
 
עַל־גַּ֝פֵּ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מְרֹ֣מֵי קָֽרֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 She has sent out her maidens, [3]
she calls out; [2]
 
from the highest [2]
heights of the town, [1]
4 מִי־פֶ֭תִי [3] Dechi
יָסֻ֣ר הֵ֑נָּה [2] Etnachta
 
חֲסַר־לֵ֝֗ב [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אָ֣מְרָה לּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 “Whoever is simple, [3]
let him turn aside here!” [2]
 
The one lacking understanding, [2]
she says to him, [1]
5 לְ֭כוּ [3] Dechi
לַחֲמ֣וּ בְֽלַחֲמִ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝שְׁת֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּיַ֣יִן מָסָֽכְתִּי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 “Come, [3]
eat of my bread; [2]
 
and drink [2]
of the wine I have mixed! [1]
6 עִזְב֣וּ פְתָאיִ֣ם [3] VDechi
וִֽחְי֑וּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אִשְׁר֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ בִּינָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 Leave your simple ways [3]
and live; [2]
 
and walk [2]
in the way of understanding.” [1]
7 יֹ֤סֵ֨ר ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
לֵ֗ץ [3] Revi'i
 
לֹקֵ֣חַֽ ל֣וֹ [3] VDechi
קָל֑וֹן [2] Etnachta
 
וּמוֹכִ֖יחַ לְרָשָׁ֣ע [2] VRevMug
מוּמֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 7 One who corrects [4]
a scoffer [3]
 
receives for himself [3]
insult; [2]
 
and one who reproves a wicked man [2]
gets abuse. [1]
8 אַל־תּ֣וֹכַח לֵ֭ץ [3] Dechi
פֶּן־יִשְׂנָאֶ֑ךָּ [2] Etnachta
 
הוֹכַ֥ח לְ֝חָכָ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְיֶאֱהָבֶֽךָּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 Don’t reprove a scoffer [3]
lest he hate you; [2]
 
reprove a wise person, [2]
and he will love you. [1]
9 תֵּ֣ן לְ֭חָכָם [3] Dechi
וְיֶחְכַּם־ע֑וֹד [2] Etnachta
 
הוֹדַ֥ע לְ֝צַדִּ֗יק [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְי֣וֹסֶף לֶֽקַח׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 Instruct a wise person [3]
and he will be still wiser; [2]
 
teach a righteous person, [2]
and he will increase in learning. [1]
10 תְּחִלַּ֣ת חׇ֭כְמָה [3] Dechi
יִרְאַ֣ת יְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְדַ֖עַת קְדֹשִׁ֣ים [2] VRevMug
בִּינָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 The beginning of wisdom [3]
is the fear of the LORD; [2]
 
and knowledge of the Holy One [2]
is understanding. [1]
11 כִּי־בִ֭י [3] Dechi
יִרְבּ֣וּ יָמֶ֑יךָ [2] Etnachta
 
וְיוֹסִ֥יפוּ לְּ֝ךָ֗ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
שְׁנ֣וֹת חַיִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 For by me [3]
your days will increase; [2]
 
and they will add to you [2]
years of life. [1]
12 אִם־חָ֭כַמְתָּ [3] Dechi
חָכַ֣מְתָּ לָּ֑ךְ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝לַ֗צְתָּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְֽבַדְּךָ֥ תִשָּֽׂא׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 If you are wise, [3]
you are wise for yourself; [2]
 
but you scoff, [2]
you alone, you will bear it. [1]
13 אֵ֣שֶׁת כְּ֭סִילוּת [3] Dechi
הֹמִיָּ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
פְּ֝תַיּ֗וּת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וּבַל־יָ֥דְעָה מָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 A foolish woman [3]
is loud; [2]
 
undisciplined, [2]
and she knows nothing. [1]
14 וְֽ֭יָשְׁבָה [3] Dechi
לְפֶ֣תַח בֵּיתָ֑הּ [2] Etnachta
 
עַל־כִּ֝סֵּ֗א [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מְרֹ֣מֵי קָֽרֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 So she sits [3]
at the door of her house; [2]
 
on a seat [2]
in the heights of the town, [1]
15 לִקְרֹ֥א לְעֹֽבְרֵי־דָ֑רֶךְ [2] Etnachta
 
הַֽ֝מְיַשְּׁרִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אֹֽרְחוֹתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 15 to call out to those who pass by on the road; [2]
 
who make straight [2]
their paths, [1]
16 מִי־פֶ֭תִי [3] Dechi
יָסֻ֣ר הֵ֑נָּה [2] Etnachta
 
וַחֲסַר־לֵ֝֗ב [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְאָ֣מְרָה לּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 “Whoever is simple, [3]
let him turn aside here -” [2]
 
and one who lacks understanding, [2]
she says to him, [1]
17 מַֽיִם־גְּנוּבִ֥ים יִמְתָּ֑קוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֶ֖חֶם סְתָרִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יִנְעָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 17 “Stolen water is sweet; [2]
 
and bread eaten in secret, [2]
it is pleasant.” [1]
18 וְֽלֹא־יָ֭דַע [3] Dechi
כִּֽי־רְפָאִ֣ים שָׁ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
בְּעִמְקֵ֖י שְׁא֣וֹל [2] VRevMug
קְרֻאֶֽיהָ׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 2 18 But he doesn’t know [3]
that the departed spirits are there; [2]
 
in the depths of Sheol [2]
are her guests. [1]
