1 הֹד֣וּ לַיהֹוָ֣ה [3] VDechi כִּי־ט֑וֹב [2] Etnachta חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
1 Give thanks to the LORD, [3] for he is good; [2] is his lovingkindness, [1] |

2 יֹ֭אמְרוּ [3] Dechi גְּאוּלֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta מִיַּד־צָֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
2 let them say, [3] the redeemed by the LORD; [2] from the hand of the adversary, [1] |

3 וּֽמֵאֲרָצ֗וֹת [3] Revi'i קִ֫בְּצָ֥ם [2] Ole Veyored מִצָּפ֥וֹן וּמִיָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
3 and from the lands [3] he has gathered them; [2] from north and from the sea. [1] |

4 תָּע֣וּ בַ֭מִּדְבָּר [3] Dechi בִּישִׁימ֣וֹן דָּ֑רֶךְ [2] Etnachta לֹ֣א מָצָֽאוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
4 They wandered about in the wilderness [3] in a desert way; [2] they did not find. [1] |

5 רְעֵבִ֥ים גַּם־צְמֵאִ֑ים [2] Etnachta בָּהֶ֥ם תִּתְעַטָּֽף׃ [1] Silluq |
5 Hungry and thirsty; [2] in them, it fainted away. [1] |

6 וַיִּצְעֲק֣וּ אֶל־יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi בַּצַּ֣ר לָהֶ֑ם [2] Etnachta יַצִּילֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
6 Then they cried out to the LORD [3] in their distress; [2] he delivered them, [1] |

7 וַֽ֭יַּדְרִיכֵם [3] Dechi בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ יְשָׁרָ֑ה [2] Etnachta אֶל־עִ֥יר מוֹשָֽׁב׃ [1] Silluq |
7 and he led them [3] by a straight way; [2] to a city to live in. [1] |

8 יוֹד֣וּ לַיהֹוָ֣ה [3] VDechi חַסְדּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta לִבְנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
8 Let them give thanks to the LORD [3] for his lovingkindness; [2] to the children of men! [1] |

9 כִּֽי־הִ֭שְׂבִּיעַ [3] Dechi נֶ֣פֶשׁ שֹׁקֵקָ֑ה [2] Etnachta מִלֵּא־טֽוֹב׃ [1] Silluq |
9 For he satisfies [3] the longing soul; [2] he fills with good. [1] |

10 יֹ֭שְׁבֵי [3] Dechi חֹ֣שֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָ֑וֶת [2] Etnachta וּבַרְזֶֽל׃ [1] Silluq |
10 Those who sat [3] in darkness and the shadow of death; [2] and iron, [1] |

11 כִּֽי־הִמְר֥וּ אִמְרֵי־אֵ֑ל [2] Etnachta נָאָֽצוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
11 because they had rebelled against the words of God; [2] they had rejected, [1] |
|||
12 וַיַּכְנַ֣ע בֶּעָמָ֣ל [3] VDechi לִבָּ֑ם [2] Etnachta וְאֵ֣ין עֹזֵֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
12 so he humbled with labor [3] their heart; [2] and there was no one to help, [1] |

13 וַיִּזְעֲק֣וּ אֶל־יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi בַּצַּ֣ר לָהֶ֑ם [2] Etnachta יוֹשִׁיעֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
13 they cried out to the LORD [3] in their distress; [2] he saved them. [1] |

14 י֭וֹצִיאֵם [3] Dechi מֵחֹ֣שֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָ֑וֶת [2] Etnachta יְנַתֵּֽק׃ [1] Silluq |
14 He brought them out [3] from darkness and the shadow of death; [2] he broke away. [1] |

15 יוֹד֣וּ לַיהֹוָ֣ה [3] VDechi חַסְדּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta לִבְנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
15 Let them give thanks to the LORD [3] for his lovingkindness; [2] to the children of men! [1] |

16 כִּֽי־שִׁ֭בַּר [3] Dechi דַּלְת֣וֹת נְחֹ֑שֶׁת [2] Etnachta גִּדֵּֽעַ׃ [1] Silluq |
16 For he breaks down [3] gates of bronze; [2] he cuts down. [1] |

17 אֱ֭וִלִים [3] Dechi מִדֶּ֣רֶךְ פִּשְׁעָ֑ם [2] Etnachta יִתְעַנּֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
17 Fools [3] because of their disobedience; [2] they were afflicted. [1] |
|||
18 כׇּל־אֹ֭כֶל [3] Dechi תְּתַעֵ֣ב נַפְשָׁ֑ם [2] Etnachta עַד־שַׁ֥עֲרֵי מָֽוֶת׃ [1] Silluq |
18 All kinds of food [3] their soul loathed; [2] to the gates of death. [1] |

19 וַיִּזְעֲק֣וּ אֶל־יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi בַּצַּ֣ר לָהֶ֑ם [2] Etnachta יוֹשִׁיעֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
19 And they cried out to the LORD [3] in their distress; [2] he saved them. [1] |

20 יִשְׁלַ֣ח דְּ֭בָרוֹ [3] Dechi וְיִרְפָּאֵ֑ם [2] Etnachta מִשְּׁחִֽיתוֹתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
20 He sent his word, [3] and he healed them; [2] from their pits. [1] |

21 יוֹד֣וּ לַיהֹוָ֣ה [3] VDechi חַסְדּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta לִבְנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
21 Let them give thanks to the LORD [3] for his lovingkindness; [2] to the children of men! [1] |

22 וְ֭יִזְבְּחוּ [3] Dechi זִבְחֵ֣י תוֹדָ֑ה [2] Etnachta בְּרִנָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
22 And let them offer [3] sacrifices of thanksgiving; [2] with a shout of joy. [1] |

23 ׆ יוֹרְדֵ֣י הַ֭יָּם [3] Dechi בׇּאֳנִיּ֑וֹת [2] Etnachta בְּמַ֣יִם רַבִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
23 • Those who went down to the sea [3] in ships; [2] on great waters, [1] |

24 ׆ הֵ֣מָּה רָ֭אוּ [3] Dechi מַעֲשֵׂ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta בִּמְצוּלָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
24 • They, they saw [3] the works of the LORD; [2] in the deep. [1] |

25 ׆ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר [3] Revi'i וַֽ֭יַּעֲמֵד [3] Dechi ר֣וּחַ סְעָרָ֑ה [2] Etnachta |
25 • For he spoke, [3] and he appointed [3] a stormy wind; [2] |

26 ׆ יַעֲל֣וּ שָׁ֭מַיִם [3] Dechi יֵרְד֣וּ תְהוֹמ֑וֹת [2] Etnachta בְּרָעָ֥ה תִתְמוֹגָֽג׃ [1] Silluq |
26 • They went up to the heavens, [3] they went down to the depths; [2] melted away in distress. [1] |

27 ׆ יָח֣וֹגּוּ וְ֭יָנוּעוּ [3] Dechi כַּשִּׁכּ֑וֹר [2] Etnachta תִּתְבַּלָּֽע׃ [1] Silluq |
27 • They staggered and they trembled [3] like a drunkard; [2] it was confused. [1] |

28 ׆ וַיִּצְעֲק֣וּ אֶל־יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi בַּצַּ֣ר לָהֶ֑ם [2] Etnachta יוֹצִיאֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
28 • Then they cried out to the LORD [3] in their distress; [2] he brought them out. [1] |

29 יָקֵ֣ם סְ֭עָרָה [3] Dechi לִדְמָמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta גַּלֵּיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
29 He raised the storm [3] into a whisper; [2] its waves. [1] |
|||
30 וַיִּשְׂמְח֥וּ כִֽי־יִשְׁתֹּ֑קוּ [2] Etnachta אֶל־מְח֥וֹז חֶפְצָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
30 And they rejoiced for it was quiet; [2] to their desired harbor. [1] |

31 יוֹד֣וּ לַיהֹוָ֣ה [3] VDechi חַסְדּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta לִבְנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
31 Let them give thanks to the LORD [3] for his lovingkindness; [2] to the children of men! [1] |

32 וִֽ֭ירוֹמְמוּהוּ [3] Dechi בִּקְהַל־עָ֑ם [2] Etnachta יְהַלְלֽוּהוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
32 And let them exalt him [3] in the assembly of the people; [2] let them praise him. [1] |
|||
33 יָשֵׂ֣ם נְהָר֣וֹת [3] VDechi לְמִדְבָּ֑ר [2] Etnachta לְצִמָּאֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq |
33 He has made rivers [3] into a desert; [2] into thirsty ground, [1] |
|||
34 אֶ֣רֶץ פְּ֭רִי [3] Dechi לִמְלֵחָ֑ה [2] Etnachta י֣וֹשְׁבֵי בָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq |
34 a fruitful land [3] into a salt waste; [2] of those who dwell in it. [1] |

35 יָשֵׂ֣ם מִ֭דְבָּר [3] Dechi לַאֲגַם־מַ֑יִם [2] Etnachta לְמֹצָ֥אֵי מָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq |
35 He has made a desert [3] into a pool of water; [2] into springs of water. [1] |

36 וַיּ֣וֹשֶׁב שָׁ֣ם [3] VDechi רְעֵבִ֑ים [2] Etnachta עִ֣יר מוֹשָֽׁב׃ [1] Silluq |
36 And he has made live there [3] the hungry; [2] a city to live in, [1] |
|||
37 וַיִּזְרְע֣וּ שָׂ֭דוֹת [3] Dechi וַיִּטְּע֣וּ כְרָמִ֑ים [2] Etnachta פְּרִ֣י תְבוּאָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
37 and sow fields [3] and plant vineyards; [2] the fruits of increase. [1] |

38 וַיְבָרְכֵ֣ם וַיִּרְבּ֣וּ [3] VDechi מְאֹ֑ד [2] Etnachta לֹ֣א יַמְעִֽיט׃ [1] Silluq |
38 And he blesses them and they are multiplied [3] greatly; [2] he doesn’t allow to decrease. [1] |

39 וַיִּמְעֲט֥וּ וַיָּשֹׁ֑חוּ [2] Etnachta וְיָגֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq |
39 They were diminished and they were bowed down; [2] and sorrow. [1] |
|||
40 ׆ שֹׁפֵ֣ךְ בּ֭וּז [3] Dechi עַל־נְדִיבִ֑ים [2] Etnachta בְּתֹ֣הוּ לֹא־דָֽרֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq |
40 • Pouring out contempt [3] on princes; [2] in a wasteland with no path. [1] |
|||
41 וַיְשַׂגֵּ֣ב אֶבְי֣וֹן [3] VDechi מֵע֑וֹנִי [2] Etnachta מִשְׁפָּחֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq |
41 Yet he lifted the needy on high [3] from affliction; [2] (their) families. [1] |
|||
42 יִרְא֣וּ יְשָׁרִ֣ים [3] VDechi וְיִשְׂמָ֑חוּ [2] Etnachta קָ֣פְצָה פִּֽיהָ׃ [1] Silluq |
42 The upright see [3] and they rejoice; [2] it shuts its mouth. [1] |

43 מִי־חָכָ֥ם וְיִשְׁמׇר־אֵ֑לֶּה [2] Etnachta חַֽסְדֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq פ |
43 Whoever is wise, let him observe these things; [2] the lovingkindness of the LORD. [1] ¶ |
