אַל־תְּ֝קַנֵּ֗א [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּעֹשֵׂ֥י עַוְלָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 By David. [4/3]
1 Don’t fret because of evildoers; [2]
 
don't be envious [2]
of those who work unrighteousness. [1]
2 כִּ֣י כֶ֭חָצִיר [3] Dechi
מְהֵרָ֣ה יִמָּ֑לוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וּכְיֶ֥רֶק דֶּ֝֗שֶׁא [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִבּוֹלֽוּן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 For like the grass [3]
they will quickly wither; [2]
 
and like the greenery of fresh grass [2]
they will fade. [1]
3 בְּטַ֣ח בַּ֭יהֹוָה [3] Dechi
וַעֲשֵׂה־ט֑וֹב [2] Etnachta
 
שְׁכׇן־אֶ֝֗רֶץ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וּרְעֵ֥ה אֱמוּנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 Trust in the LORD [3]
and do good; [2]
 
dwell in the land [2]
and graze in safety. [1]
4 וְהִתְעַנַּ֥ג עַל־יְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְיִֽתֶּן־לְ֝ךָ֗ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִשְׁאֲלֹ֥ת לִבֶּֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 4 And take delight in the LORD; [2]
 
and he will give to you [2]
the requests of your heart. [1]
5 גּ֣וֹל עַל־יְהֹוָ֣ה [3] VDechi
דַּרְכֶּ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
וּבְטַ֥ח עָ֝לָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְה֣וּא יַעֲשֶֽׂה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 Commit to the LORD [3]
your way; [2]
 
and rely on him [2]
and he, he will act, [1]
6 וְהוֹצִ֣יא כָא֣וֹר [3] VDechi
צִדְקֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מִשְׁפָּטֶ֗ךָ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כַּֽצׇּהֳרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 and he will bring forth like the light [3]
your righteousness; [2]
 
and your justice [2]
like the noonday sun. [1]
7 דּ֤וֹם ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
לַיהֹוָה֮ [3] Sinnor
וְהִתְח֢וֹלֵֽ֫ל ל֥וֹ [2] Ole Veyored
 
אַל־תִּ֭תְחַר [3] Dechi
בְּמַצְלִ֣יחַ דַּרְכּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
בְּ֝אִ֗ישׁ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עֹשֶׂ֥ה מְזִמּֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 3 2 7 Rest [4]
in the LORD [3]
and wait longingly for him; [2]
 
don’t fret [3]
in one who prospers in his way, [2]
 
in a person [2]
who devises schemes. [1]
8 הֶ֣רֶף מֵ֭אַף [3] Dechi
וַעֲזֹ֣ב חֵמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
אַל־תִּ֝תְחַ֗ר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַךְ־לְהָרֵֽעַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 Refrain from anger [3]
and forsake wrath; [2]
 
don’t fret, [2]
only to do evil. [1]
9 כִּֽי־מְ֭רֵעִים [3] Dechi
יִכָּרֵת֑וּן [2] Etnachta
 
וְקֹוֵ֥י יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
הֵ֣מָּה יִֽירְשׁוּ־אָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 For evildoers, [3]
they shall be cut off; [2]
 
but those who wait for the LORD, [2]
they, they shall inherit the land. [1]
10 וְע֣וֹד מְ֭עַט [3] Dechi
וְאֵ֣ין רָשָׁ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
וְהִתְבּוֹנַ֖נְתָּ עַל־מְקוֹמ֣וֹ [2] VRevMug
וְאֵינֶֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 For yet a little while, [3]
and the wicked will be no more; [2]
 
though you look carefully on his place, [2]
he won't be there. [1]
11 וַעֲנָוִ֥ים יִֽירְשׁוּ־אָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝הִֽתְעַנְּג֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עַל־רֹ֥ב שָׁלֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 11 But the humble shall inherit the land; [2]
 
and they shall delight [2]
in the abundance of peace. [1]
12 זֹמֵ֣ם רָ֭שָׁע [3] Dechi
לַצַּדִּ֑יק [2] Etnachta
 
וְחֹרֵ֖ק עָלָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
שִׁנָּֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 The wicked plots [3]
against the righteous; [2]
 
and gnashes at him [2]
his teeth. [1]
13 אֲדֹנָ֥י יִשְׂחַק־ל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
כִּי־רָ֝אָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּֽי־יָבֹ֥א יוֹמֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 13 The Lord laughs at him; [2]
 
for he sees [2]
that his day is coming. [1]
14 חֶ֤רֶב ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
פָּ֥תְח֣וּ רְשָׁעִים֮ [3] Sinnor
וְדָרְכ֢וּ קַ֫שְׁתָּ֥ם [2] Ole Veyored
 
לְ֭הַפִּיל [3] Dechi
עָנִ֣י וְאֶבְי֑וֹן [2] Etnachta
 
לִ֝טְב֗וֹחַ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִשְׁרֵי־דָֽרֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 3 2 14 A sword [4]
the wicked have drawn, [3]
and they have bent their bow; [2]
 
to bring down [3]
the poor and the needy, [2]
 
to slaughter [2]
those who are upright on the path. [1]
15 חַ֭רְבָּם [3] Dechi
תָּב֣וֹא בְלִבָּ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝קַשְּׁתוֹתָ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תִּשָּׁבַֽרְנָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 Their sword, [3]
it shall go into their own heart; [2]
 
and their bows, [2]
they shall be broken. [1]
16 טוֹב־מְ֭עַט [3] Dechi
לַצַּדִּ֑יק [2] Etnachta
 
מֵ֝הֲמ֗וֹן [2] Revi'i Mugrash
רְשָׁעִ֥ים רַבִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 Better is the little [3]
of the righteous; [2]
 
than the wealth [2]
of many wicked. [1]
17 כִּ֤י זְרוֹע֣וֹת רְ֭שָׁעִים [3] Dechi
תִּשָּׁבַ֑רְנָה [2] Etnachta
 
וְסוֹמֵ֖ךְ צַדִּיקִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 For the arms of the wicked, [3]
they shall be broken; [2]
 
but upholding the righteous [2]
is the LORD. [1]
18 יוֹדֵ֣עַ יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi
יְמֵ֣י תְמִימִ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝נַחֲלָתָ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְעוֹלָ֥ם תִּהְיֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 The LORD knows [3]
the days of the blameless; [2]
 
and their inheritance [2]
shall be forever. [1]
19 לֹֽא־יֵ֭בֹשׁוּ [3] Dechi
בְּעֵ֣ת רָעָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וּבִימֵ֖י רְעָב֣וֹן [2] VRevMug
יִשְׂבָּֽעוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 They shall not be ashamed [3]
in a time of evil; [2]
 
and in days of famine [2]
they shall be satisfied. [1]
20 כִּ֤י רְשָׁעִ֨ים ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
יֹאבֵ֗דוּ [3] Revi'i
 
וְאֹיְבֵ֣י יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi
כִּיקַ֣ר כָּרִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
כָּל֖וּ בֶעָשָׁ֣ן [2] VRevMug
כָּֽלוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 20 But the wicked, [4]
they shall perish, [3]
 
and the enemies of the LORD [3]
shall be like the beauty of pastures; [2]
 
they will vanish in smoke, [2]
they will vanish. [1]
21 לֹוֶ֣ה רָ֭שָׁע [3] Dechi
וְלֹ֣א יְשַׁלֵּ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝צַדִּ֗יק [2] Revi'i Mugrash
חוֹנֵ֥ן וְנוֹתֵֽן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 The wicked borrows [3]
and he doesn’t pay back; [2]
 
but the righteous [2]
gives generously. [1]
22 כִּ֣י מְ֭בֹרָכָיו [3] Dechi
יִ֣ירְשׁוּ אָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מְקֻלָּלָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִכָּרֵֽתוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 For the ones blessed by him, [3]
they shall inherit the land; [2]
 
but the ones cursed by him, [2]
they shall be cut off. [1]
23 מֵ֭יְהֹוָה [3] Dechi
מִֽצְעֲדֵי־גֶ֥בֶר כּוֹנָ֗נוּ [3/2] Revi'i
וְדַרְכּ֥וֹ יֶחְפָּֽץ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 23 By the LORD [3]
the steps of a man are established, [3/2]
when he delights in his way. [1]
24 כִּֽי־יִפֹּ֥ל לֹֽא־יוּטָ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
סוֹמֵ֥ךְ יָדֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 24 Though he stumble, he shall not be cast down; [2]
 
for the LORD [2]
holds him up with his hand. [1]
25 נַ֤עַר ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
הָיִ֗יתִי [3] Revi'i
גַּם־זָ֫קַ֥נְתִּי [2] Ole Veyored
 
וְֽלֹא־רָ֭אִיתִי [3] Dechi
צַדִּ֣יק נֶעֱזָ֑ב [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝זַרְע֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מְבַקֶּשׁ־לָֽחֶם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 3 2 25 A young man [4]
I have been, [3]
and now I am old; [2]
 
yet I have not seen [3]
the righteous forsaken, [2]
 
or his children [2]
begging for bread. [1]
26 כׇּל־הַ֭יּוֹם [3] Dechi
חוֹנֵ֣ן וּמַלְוֶ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝זַרְע֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לִבְרָכָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 All the day [3]
being gracious and lending; [2]
 
and his offspring [2]
become a blessing. [1]
27 ס֣וּר מֵ֭רָע [3] Dechi
וַעֲשֵׂה־ט֗וֹב [3/2] Revi'i
וּשְׁכֹ֥ן לְעוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 27 Depart from evil [3]
and do good, [3/2]
and dwell forever. [1]
28 כִּ֤י יְהֹוָ֨ה ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
אֹ֘הֵ֤ב מִשְׁפָּ֗ט [3] Revi'i
 
וְלֹא־יַעֲזֹ֣ב אֶת־חֲ֭סִידָיו [3] Dechi
לְעוֹלָ֣ם נִשְׁמָ֑רוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְזֶ֖רַע רְשָׁעִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
נִכְרָֽת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 28 For the LORD [4]
loves justice, [3]
 
and he will not abandon his faithful ones, [3]
forever they are preserved; [2]
 
but the children of the wicked [2]
are cut off. [1]
29 צַדִּיקִ֥ים יִֽירְשׁוּ־אָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta
 
וְיִשְׁכְּנ֖וּ לָעַ֣ד [2] VRevMug
עָלֶֽיהָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 29 The righteous shall inherit the land; [2]
 
and they will dwell forever [2]
in it. [1]
30 פִּֽי־צַ֭דִּיק [3] Dechi
יֶהְגֶּ֣ה חׇכְמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝לְשׁוֹנ֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תְּדַבֵּ֥ר מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 30 The mouth of the righteous, [3]
it speaks wisdom; [2]
 
and his tongue, [2]
it speaks justice. [1]
31 תּוֹרַ֣ת אֱלֹהָ֣יו [3] VDechi
בְּלִבּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
לֹ֖א תִמְעַ֣ד [2] VRevMug
אֲשֻׁרָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 31 The law of his God [3]
is in his heart; [2]
 
they shall not slip, [2]
his steps. [1]
32 צוֹפֶ֣ה רָ֭שָׁע [3] Dechi
לַצַּדִּ֑יק [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מְבַקֵּ֗שׁ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לַהֲמִיתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 32 The wicked watch [3]
for the righteous; [2]
 
and seek [2]
to kill him. [1]
33 יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi
לֹא־יַעַזְבֶ֣נּוּ בְיָד֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֹ֥א יַ֝רְשִׁיעֶ֗נּוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּהִשָּׁפְטֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 33 The LORD, [3]
he will not abandon him in his hand; [2]
 
and he will not condemn him [2]
when he is judged. [1]
34 קַוֵּ֤ה אֶל־יְהֹוָ֨ה ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
וּשְׁמֹ֬ר דַּרְכּ֗וֹ [3] Revi'i
 
וִֽ֭ירוֹמִמְךָ [3] Dechi
לָרֶ֣שֶׁת אָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta
 
בְּהִכָּרֵ֖ת רְשָׁעִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
תִּרְאֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 34 Wait for the LORD [4]
and keep his way, [3]
 
and he will exalt you [3]
to inherit the land; [2]
 
when the wicked are cut off, [2]
you will see. [1]
35 רָ֭אִיתִי [3] Dechi
רָשָׁ֣ע עָרִ֑יץ [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מִתְעָרֶ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כְּאֶזְרָ֥ח רַעֲנָֽן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 35 I have seen [3]
a ruthless wicked person; [2]
 
and spreading himself [2]
like a luxuriant tree in its native soil. [1]
36 וַֽ֭יַּעֲבֹר [3] Dechi
וְהִנֵּ֣ה אֵינֶ֑נּוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וָ֝אֲבַקְשֵׁ֗הוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְלֹ֣א נִמְצָֽא׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 36 But he passed away, [3]
and behold, he was not; [2]
 
and I sought him, [2]
but he could not be found. [1]
37 שְׁמׇר־תָּ֭ם [3] Dechi
וּרְאֵ֣ה יָשָׁ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־אַחֲרִ֖ית לְאִ֣ישׁ [2] VRevMug
שָׁלֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 37 Watch the blameless, [3]
and see the upright; [2]
 
for there is a future for a person [2]
of peace. [1]
38 וּֽ֭פֹשְׁעִים [3] Dechi
נִשְׁמְד֣וּ יַחְדָּ֑ו [2] Etnachta
 
אַחֲרִ֖ית רְשָׁעִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
נִכְרָֽתָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 38 And transgressors, [3]
they shall be destroyed altogether; [2]
 
the future of the wicked, [2]
it shall be cut off. [1]
39 וּתְשׁוּעַ֣ת צַ֭דִּיקִים [3] Dechi
מֵיְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
מָ֝עוּזָּ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּעֵ֣ת צָרָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 39 But the salvation of the righteous [3]
is from the LORD; [2]
 
their place of refuge [2]
in a time of trouble. [1]
40 וַ֥יַּעְזְרֵ֥ם יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
וַֽיְפַ֫לְּטֵ֥ם [2] Ole Veyored
 
יְפַלְּטֵ֣ם מֵ֭רְשָׁעִים [3] Dechi
וְיוֹשִׁיעֵ֑ם [2] Etnachta
כִּי־חָ֥סוּ בֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
פ		 2 3 2 3 40 And the LORD helps them [3]
and he delivers them; [2]
 
he delivers them from the wicked [3]
and he saves them, [2]
because they have taken refuge in him. [1]
