1 לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ *לידיתון **לִֽידוּת֗וּן [3/2] Revi'i
מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ [1] Silluq
2 To the choirmaster, for Jeduthun, [3/2]
a psalm of David. [1]
2 אָמַ֗רְתִּי [3] Revi'i
אֶ֥שְׁמְרָ֣ה דְרָכַי֮ [3] Sinnor
מֵחֲט֢וֹא בִלְשׁ֫וֹנִ֥י [2] Ole Veyored
 
אֶשְׁמְרָ֥ה לְפִ֥י מַחְס֑וֹם [2] Etnachta
בְּעֹ֖ד רָשָׁ֣ע [2] VRevMug
לְנֶגְדִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 2 1 I said, [3]
“I will guard my ways [3]
from sinning with my tongue; [2]
 
I will keep to my mouth a muzzle, [2]
while still the wicked [2]
are before me.” [1]
3 נֶאֱלַ֣מְתִּי ד֭וּמִיָּה [3] Dechi
הֶחֱשֵׁ֣יתִי מִטּ֑וֹב [2] Etnachta
 
וּכְאֵבִ֥י נֶעְכָּֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 I was mute with silence, [3]
I was silent even from good; [2]
 
and my pain was stirred up. [1]
4 חַם־לִבִּ֨י ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
בְּקִרְבִּ֗י [3] Revi'i
בַּהֲגִיגִ֥י תִבְעַר־אֵ֑שׁ [2] Etnachta
 
דִּ֝בַּ֗רְתִּי [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בִּלְשׁוֹנִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

within me, [3]
in my sighing the fire burned; [2]
 
I spoke [2]
with my tongue, [1]
5 הוֹדִ֘יעֵ֤נִי יְהֹוָ֨ה ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
קִצִּ֗י [3] Revi'i
 
וּמִדַּ֣ת יָמַ֣י [3] VDechi
מַה־הִ֑יא [2] Etnachta
 
אֵ֝דְעָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מֶֽה־חָדֵ֥ל אָֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq

and the measure of my days, [3]
what it is; [2]
 
let me know [2]
how transient I am. [1]
6 הִנֵּ֤ה טְפָח֨וֹת ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
נָ֘תַ֤תָּה יָמַ֗י [3] Revi'i
 
וְחֶלְדִּ֣י כְאַ֣יִן [3] VDechi
נֶגְדֶּ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
אַ֥ךְ כׇּֽל־הֶ֥בֶל כׇּל־אָ֝דָ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
נִצָּ֥ב סֶֽלָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 5 Behold, handwidths [4]
you have made my days, [3]
 
and my lifetime is like nothing [3]
before you; [2]
 
only altogether vanity is every man [2]

יִֽתְהַלֶּךְ־אִ֗ישׁ [3] Revi'i
אַךְ־הֶ֥בֶל יֶהֱמָי֑וּן [2] Etnachta
 
יִ֝צְבֹּ֗ר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְֽלֹא־יֵדַ֥ע מִֽי־אֹסְפָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

a person goes about, [3]
only in vain do people busy themselves; [2]
 
he heaps up, [2]
but he doesn’t know who shall gather them. [1]
8 וְעַתָּ֣ה מַה־קִּוִּ֣יתִי [3] VDechi

תּ֝וֹחַלְתִּ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְךָ֣ הִֽיא׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 And now what do I wait for [3]
O Lord? [2]
 
My hope, [2]
in you it is. [1]
9 מִכׇּל־פְּשָׁעַ֥י הַצִּילֵ֑נִי [2] Etnachta
 
חֶרְפַּ֥ת נָ֝בָ֗ל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַל־תְּשִׂימֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 8 From all my transgressions, deliver me; [2]
 
a reproach of the foolish [2]
do not make me. [1]
10 נֶ֭אֱלַמְתִּי [3] Dechi
לֹ֣א אֶפְתַּח־פִּ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
כִּ֖י אַתָּ֣ה [2] VRevMug
עָשִֽׂיתָ׃ [1] Silluq

I don’t open my mouth; [2]
 
for you, [2]
you have acted. [1]
11 הָסֵ֣ר מֵעָלַ֣י [3] VDechi

מִתִּגְרַ֥ת יָ֝דְךָ֗ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אֲנִ֣י כָלִֽיתִי׃ [1] Silluq

your scourge; [2]
 
from the blow of your hand [2]
I, I have been overcome. [1]
12 בְּֽתוֹכָ֘ח֤וֹת עַל־עָוֺ֨ן ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
יִסַּ֬רְתָּ אִ֗ישׁ [3] Revi'i
 
וַתֶּ֣מֶס כָּעָ֣שׁ [3] VDechi
חֲמוּד֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
אַ֤ךְ הֶ֖בֶל כׇּל־אָדָ֣ם [2] VRevMug
סֶֽלָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 11 With rebukes for iniquity [4]
you discipline a person, [3]
 
and you consume like a moth [3]
what he desires; [2]
 
surely but a breath is all mankind.” [2]
