מִנִּי־קֶֽדֶם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 I will open in a parable [3]

a generation [3]
stubborn and rebellious; [2]

a generation [3]
which not loyal was its heart, [2]

and it was not faithful to God, [2]
its spirit. [1]
9 בְּֽנֵי־אֶפְרַ֗יִם [3] Revi'i

in the land of Egypt, [2]
in the region of Zoan. [1]
13 בָּ֣קַע יָ֭ם [3] Dechi
וַיַּעֲבִירֵ֑ם [2] Etnachta

וַֽיַּצֶּב־מַ֥יִם כְּמוֹ־נֵֽד׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 13 He split the sea [3]

בְּא֣וֹר אֵֽשׁ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 And he led them by the cloud [3]
by day; [2]

and all the night [2]
by light of a fire. [1]
15 יְבַקַּ֣ע צֻ֭רִים [3] Dechi
בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר [2] Etnachta

וַ֝יַּ֗שְׁקְ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּתְהֹמ֥וֹת רַבָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 He split open rocks [3]
in the wilderness; [2]

and he gave them to drink [2]
abundantly as out of the depths. [1]
16 וַיּוֹצִ֣א נוֹזְלִ֣ים [3] VDechi
מִסָּ֑לַע [2] Etnachta

וַיּ֖וֹרֶד כַּנְּהָר֣וֹת [2] VRevMug
מָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 And he brought out streams [3]
from a rock; [2]

and he made to flow down like rivers, [2]
water. [1]
17 וַיּוֹסִ֣יפוּ ע֭וֹד [3] Dechi

לַֽמְר֥וֹת עֶ֝לְי֗וֹן [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בַּצִּיָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 But they still went on [3]
to sin against him; [2]

by rebelling against the Most High [2]
in the desert. [1]
18 וַיְנַסּוּ־אֵ֥ל בִּלְבָבָ֑ם [2] Etnachta

לִֽשְׁאׇל־אֹ֥כֶל לְנַפְשָֽׁם׃ [1] Silluq
2 18 And they put God to the test in their heart; [2]

by requesting food according to their desire. [1]
19 וַֽיְדַבְּר֗וּ [3] Revi'i
בֵּאלֹ֫הִ֥ים [2] Ole Veyored

אָ֭מְרוּ [3] Dechi
הֲי֣וּכַל אֵ֑ל [2] Etnachta

לַעֲרֹ֥ךְ שֻׁ֝לְחָ֗ן [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 2 19 And they spoke [3]
against God; [2]

they said, [3]
“Is God able [2]

to prepare a table [2]
in the wilderness? [1]

2 3 4 2 3 2 20 Behold, he struck a rock [4]
and waters flowed out, [3]
and torrents overflowed; [2]

bread also [3]
is he able to give, [2]

and will he prepare meat [2]
for his people?” [1]
21 לָכֵ֤ן ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh

נִשְּׂקָ֣ה בְיַעֲקֹ֑ב [2] Etnachta

וְגַם־אַ֝֗ף [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עָלָ֥ה בְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 3 2 21 Therefore [4]
the LORD heard, [3]
and he was angry; [2]

and fire, [3]
it was kindled in Jacob, [2]

and also anger, [2]
it went up in Israel, [1]
22 כִּ֤י לֹ֣א הֶ֭אֱמִינוּ [3] Dechi

2 3 2 22 because they didn’t trust [3]
in God; [2]

and they didn’t trust [2]
in his salvation. [1]
23 וַיְצַ֣ו שְׁחָקִ֣ים [3] VDechi
מִמָּ֑עַל [2] Etnachta

וְדַלְתֵ֖י שָׁמַ֣יִם [2] VRevMug
פָּתָֽח׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 Yet he commanded clouds [3]
from above; [2]

and the doors of heaven [2]
he opened. [1]
24 וַיַּמְטֵ֬ר עֲלֵיהֶ֣ם מָ֣ן [3] VDechi
לֶאֱכֹ֑ל [2] Etnachta

וּדְגַן־שָׁ֝מַ֗יִם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
נָ֣תַן לָֽמוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 24 And he rained down on them manna [3]
to eat; [2]

and the grain of heaven [2]
he gave to them. [1]
25 לֶ֣חֶם אַ֭בִּירִים [3] Dechi
אָ֣כַל אִ֑ישׁ [2] Etnachta

צֵידָ֬ה שָׁלַ֖ח לָהֶ֣ם [2] VRevMug
לָשֹֽׂבַע׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 25 Bread of the angels [3]
men ate; [2]

provisions he sent to them [2]
in abundance. [1]
26 יַסַּ֣ע קָ֭דִים [3] Dechi
בַּשָּׁמָ֑יִם [2] Etnachta

וַיְנַהֵ֖ג בְּעֻזּ֣וֹ [2] VRevMug
תֵימָֽן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 He caused to blow an east wind [3]
in the heavens; [2]

and he guided by his strength, [2]
a south wind. [1]
27 וַיַּמְטֵ֬ר עֲלֵיהֶ֣ם כֶּעָפָ֣ר [3] VDechi
שְׁאֵ֑ר [2] Etnachta

וּֽכְח֥וֹל יַ֝מִּ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
ע֣וֹף כָּנָֽף׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 27 And he rained down on them like dust, [3]
meat; [2]

and like the sand of the seas, [2]
winged birds. [1]
28 וַ֭יַּפֵּל [3] Dechi
בְּקֶ֣רֶב מַחֲנֵ֑הוּ [2] Etnachta

סָ֝בִ֗יב [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְמִשְׁכְּנֹתָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 28 And he made them fall [3]
in the middle of their camp; [2]

around [2]
their dwellings. [1]
29 וַיֹּאכְל֣וּ וַיִּשְׂבְּע֣וּ [3] VDechi
מְאֹ֑ד [2] Etnachta

וְ֝תַאֲוָתָ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash

2 3 4 3 2 31 and the anger of God, [4]
it went up against them, [3]

and he killed [3]
some of their fattest; [2]

and the young men of Israel [2]
he struck down. [1]
32 בְּכׇל־זֹ֭את [3] Dechi
חָֽטְאוּ־ע֑וֹד [2] Etnachta

וְלֹֽא־הֶ֝אֱמִ֗ינוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּנִפְלְאוֹתָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 32 In all this [3]
they still sinned; [2]

and they didn’t believe [2]
in his wonders. [1]
33 וַיְכַל־בַּהֶ֥בֶל יְמֵיהֶ֑ם [2] Etnachta

וְ֝שָׁ֗בוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְשִֽׁחֲרוּ־אֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 34 When he killed them, then they sought him; [2]

and they returned [2]
and they sought God earnestly. [1]
35 וַֽ֭יִּזְכְּרוּ [3] Dechi

2 2 36 But they flattered him with their mouth; [2]

and with their tongue [2]
they lied to him. [1]
37 וְ֭לִבָּם [3] Dechi
לֹא־נָכ֣וֹן עִמּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta

וְלֹ֥א נֶ֝אֶמְנ֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בִּבְרִיתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 4 2 3 2 38 But he being merciful, [4]
he forgave iniquity, [3]
and he didn’t destroy them; [2]

and many times he [3]
turned back his anger, [2]

and he didn’t stir up [2]
all his wrath. [1]
39 וַ֭יִּזְכֹּר [3] Dechi

2 3 2 39 And he remembered [3]
that flesh were they; [2]

a wind which goes, [2]
and it doesn’t return. [1]
40 כַּ֭מָּה [3] Dechi

בִּישִׁימֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 40 How often [3]

2 3 2 41 And they turned again and they put to the test [3]
God; [2]

and the Holy One of Israel [2]
they provoked. [1]
42 לֹא־זָכְר֥וּ אֶת־יָד֑וֹ [2] Etnachta

י֝֗וֹם [2] Revi'i Mugrash

2 2 42 They didn’t remember his hand; [2]

the day [2]
when he redeemed them from the adversary, [1]
43 אֲשֶׁר־שָׂ֣ם בְּ֭מִצְרַיִם [3] Dechi
אֹתוֹתָ֑יו [2] Etnachta

וּ֝מוֹפְתָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בִּשְׂדֵה־צֹֽעַן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 43 when he performed in Egypt [3]
his signs; [2]

and his wonders [2]
in the region of Zoan, [1]
44 וַיַּהֲפֹ֣ךְ לְ֭דָם [3] Dechi
יְאֹרֵיהֶ֑ם [2] Etnachta

וְ֝נֹזְלֵיהֶ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash

their canals; [2]

and their streams [2]
they couldn't drink. [1]
45 יְשַׁלַּ֬ח בָּהֶ֣ם עָ֭רֹב [3] Dechi

the tribes of Israel. [1]
56 וַיְנַסּ֣וּ וַ֭יַּמְרוּ [3] Dechi

2 3 2 57 but they turned back and they acted treacherously [3]
like their fathers; [2]

they were twisted [2]
like a bow of deceit. [1]
58 וַיַּכְעִיס֥וּהוּ בְּבָמוֹתָ֑ם [2] Etnachta

וּ֝בִפְסִילֵיהֶ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash

they made him jealous. [1]

לֹ֣א הוּלָּֽלוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 63 Fire consumed its young men; [2]

and its young women [2]
had no wedding song. [1]
64 כֹּ֭הֲנָיו [3] Dechi
בַּחֶ֣רֶב נָפָ֑לוּ [2] Etnachta

וְ֝אַלְמְנֹתָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash

2 3 2 64 Its priests, [3]
they fell by the sword; [2]

and its widows, [2]
they wept not. [1]

like a mighty man [2]

a perpetual reproach [2]
he gave to them. [1]
