with your fathers, [2]

3 וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵהֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ [3] Pashta
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
שׁ֣וּבוּ אֵלַ֔י [2] Zaqef
נְאֻ֖ם [2] Tip'cha

וְאָשׁ֣וּב אֲלֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha

‘Return to me, [2]

4 אַל־תִּהְי֣וּ כַאֲבֹֽתֵיכֶ֡ם [4] Pazer
אֲשֶׁ֣ר קָרְאֽוּ־אֲלֵיהֶם֩ הַנְּבִיאִ֨ים הָרִֽאשֹׁנִ֜ים [4] Geresh
לֵאמֹ֗ר [3] Revi'i
 
כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ [3] Pashta
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
שׁ֤וּבוּ נָא֙ [3] Pashta
מִדַּרְכֵיכֶ֣ם הָרָעִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
*ומעליליכם **וּמַֽעַלְלֵיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
הָֽרָעִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹ֥א שָׁמְע֛וּ [3] Tevir
וְלֹֽא־הִקְשִׁ֥יבוּ אֵלַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
נְאֻם־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

to whom the former prophets proclaimed [4]

the LORD of Hosts, [2]
 
‘Turn back now [3]
from your evil ways, [2]
 
and your deeds [2]
which are evil,’ [1]
 
but they didn’t listen [3]
and they didn't pay attention to me, [2]
says the LORD. [1]

And the prophets, [2]
forever [2]
do they live? [1]

אֲשֶׁ֤ר צִוִּ֙יתִי֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֶת־עֲבָדַ֣י הַנְּבִיאִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
הֲל֥וֹא הִשִּׂ֖יגוּ [2] Tip'cha
אֲבֹתֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיָּשׁ֣וּבוּ וַיֹּאמְר֗וּ [3] Revi'i
 
כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר זָמַ֜ם [4] Geresh

לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת לָ֔נוּ [2] Zaqef

Then they repented and they said, [3]
 
‘Just as he determined, [4]
the LORD of Hosts, [3]
to do to us, [2]
 
according to our ways [3 3]
and according to our deeds, [2]

he has done with us.’ ” [1]

among the myrtle trees [2]

9 וָאֹמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
מָה־אֵ֣לֶּה אֲדֹנִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗י [3] Revi'i
הַמַּלְאָךְ֙ [3] Pashta
הַדֹּבֵ֣ר בִּ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
אֲנִ֥י אַרְאֶ֖ךָּ [2] Tip'cha
מָה־הֵ֥מָּה אֵֽלֶּה׃ [1] Silluq

‘What are these O my lord?’ ” [1]
 
And he said to me, [3]
the angel [3]
who was speaking with me, [2]
 
“I, I will show you [2]
what these are.” [1]

הָאִ֛ישׁ [3] Tevir
הָעֹמֵ֥ד בֵּין־הַהֲדַסִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וַיֹּאמַ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
אֵ֚לֶּה [3] Yetiv
אֲשֶׁ֣ר שָׁלַ֣ח יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
לְהִתְהַלֵּ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

the man [3]
who was standing among the myrtle trees, [2]
and he said; [1]
 
“These [3]
are the ones the LORD has sent [2]
 
to go about [2]
on the earth.” [1]
11 וַֽיַּעֲנ֞וּ [4] Gershayim
אֶת־מַלְאַ֣ךְ יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
הָֽעֹמֵד֙ [3] Pashta
בֵּ֣ין הַהֲדַסִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
הִתְהַלַּ֣כְנוּ בָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta
 
וְהִנֵּ֥ה כׇל־הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
יֹשֶׁ֥בֶת וְשֹׁקָֽטֶת׃ [1] Silluq

who was standing [3]
among the myrtle trees, [2]
 
and they said, [2]
“We have gone about on the earth; [1]
 
and behold, all the earth [2]
is dwelling at peace.” [1]
12 וַיַּ֣עַן מַלְאַךְ־יְהֹוָה֮ [3] Zarqa
וַיֹּאמַר֒ [2] Segol
 
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
עַד־מָתַ֗י [3] Revi'i
אַתָּה֙ [3] Pashta
לֹֽא־תְרַחֵ֣ם אֶת־יְרוּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
עָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
אֲשֶׁ֣ר זָעַ֔מְתָּה [2] Zaqef
זֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
שִׁבְעִ֥ים שָׁנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

“O LORD of Hosts, [2]
 
how long [3]
will you [3]
not have mercy on Jerusalem [2]
 
and [2]
the cities of Judah; [1]
 
against which you have been indignant [2]
these [2]
seventy years?” [1]

who was speaking with me, [2]
with good words; [1]

הַדֹּבֵ֣ר בִּ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
קְרָ֣א לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef
כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
קִנֵּ֧אתִי לִירוּשָׁלַ֛͏ִם [3] Tevir
וּלְצִיּ֖וֹן [2] Tip'cha
קִנְאָ֥ה גְדוֹלָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

“Proclaim saying, [2]
‘Thus says he, [2]
the LORD of Hosts; [1]
 
“I am jealous for Jerusalem [3]
and for Zion, [2]
with great jealousy. [1]
15 וְקֶ֤צֶף גָּדוֹל֙ [3] Pashta
אֲנִ֣י קֹצֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef
 
עַל־הַגּוֹיִ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
הַשַּֽׁאֲנַנִּ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
אֲשֶׁ֤ר אֲנִי֙ [3] Pashta
קָצַ֣פְתִּי מְּעָ֔ט [2] Zaqef
 
וְהֵ֖מָּה [2] Tip'cha
עָזְר֥וּ לְרָעָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

I am angry [2]
 
toward the nations [2]
which are at ease; [1]
 
for I, [3]
I was a little angry, [2]
 
but they, [2]
they have furthered the disaster.” [1]

over Jerusalem.” ’ [1]

“What are these?” [1]
 
And he said to me, [2]
 
“These are the horns [3]
which scattered Judah, [2]
 
Israel, [2]
and Jerusalem.” [1]

2 2 20 And the LORD showed me [2]

craftsmen. [1]

אֵ֥לֶּה בָאִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לַֽעֲשׂ֑וֹת [1] Etnachta

לְזָרוֹתָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq

And he spoke saying, [3]
 
“These are the horns [4]
which scattered Judah, [3]
 
so that any man, [3]
he could not lift up his head. [2]
 
But these have come [3 3]
to terrify them, [2]
 
to cast down [4]
the horns of the nations [3]
 
which lifted up a horn [3]
against the land of Judah [2]
 
to scatter it.” [1]

לִרְא֥וֹת כַּמָּֽה־רׇחְבָּ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha

are you going?” [1]

“To measure [3]
Jerusalem, [2]
 
to see what is its width [2]
and what is its length.” [1]

לִקְרָאתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

‘Without walls [3]
Jerusalem will remain, [2]
 
because of the multitude of people [3]
and livestock [2]

O daughter of Zion; [1]
 
for behold I come [3]
and I will dwell among you,’ [2]

15 וְנִלְווּ֩ גוֹיִ֨ם רַבִּ֤ים אֶל־יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta

are the two anointed ones; [1]
 
who are standing [2]
by the Lord of all the earth.” [1]

רֹאֶ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וָאֹמַ֗ר [3] Revi'i
אֲנִ֤י רֹאֶה֙ [3] Pashta
מְגִלָּ֣ה עָפָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
אׇרְכָּהּ֙ [3] Pashta
עֶשְׂרִ֣ים בָּֽאַמָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְרׇחְבָּ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha
עֶ֥שֶׂר בָּאַמָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq

“What do you [2]
see?” [1]
 
And I said, [3]
“I see [3]
a flying scroll, [2]
 
its length [3]
twenty cubits [2]
 
and its width [2]

כָּמ֣וֹהָ נִקָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְכׇ֨ל־הַנִּשְׁבָּ֔ע [2] Zaqef
מִזֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
כָּמ֥וֹהָ נִקָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq

“This [3]
is the curse [2]
 
which is going forth [2]
over the surface of the whole land; [1]
 
for everyone who steals, [3]
from this, [3]
according to it he shall be cut off, [2]
 
and everyone who swears falsely, [2]
from this, [2]
according to it he shall be cut off. [1]

אֶל־בֵּ֣ית הַגַּנָּ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֶל־בֵּ֛ית [3] Tevir
הַנִּשְׁבָּ֥ע בִּשְׁמִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
לַשָּׁ֑קֶר [1] Etnachta
 
וְלָ֙נֶה֙ [3 3] Pashta
בְּת֣וֹךְ בֵּית֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וְכִלַּ֖תּוּ [2] Tip'cha
וְאֶת־עֵצָ֥יו וְאֶת־אֲבָנָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

the LORD of Hosts, [2]
 
“and it will go [3 3]
into the house of the thief, [2]
 
and into the house [3]
of the one who swears by my name [2]
to falsehood; [1]

in the middle of his house, [2]
 
and it will destroy it [2]
and its wood and its stones.” [1]

“Lift up now your eyes [3 3]
and see, [2]
 
what [2]
this is that is coming forth.” [1]

“This is the efah basket [3]

“This is their appearance [2]
in all the land. [1]

נִשֵּׂ֑את [1] Etnachta

בְּת֥וֹךְ הָאֵיפָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

a round cover of lead [2]
was lifted; [1]
 
and this, [3]
a woman, [2]
 
was sitting [2]
in the middle of the efah basket.” [1]

זֹ֣את הָרִשְׁעָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וַיַּשְׁלֵ֥ךְ אֹתָ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־תּ֣וֹךְ הָֽאֵיפָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּשְׁלֵ֛ךְ [3] Tevir
אֶת־אֶ֥בֶן הָעוֹפֶ֖רֶת [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־פִּֽיהָ׃ [1] Silluq

וְהֻנִּ֥יחָה שָּׁ֖ם [2] Tip'cha

and with the second chariot [2]
were black horses, [1]

וּבַמֶּרְכָּבָה֙ [3] Pashta

and appointed feasts [2]
of cheer; [1]
 
therefore truth and peace, [2]

לֹ֣א יִֽהְיֶה־ע֑וֹד [1] Etnachta
 
וְיָשְׁבָ֥ה יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם [2] Tip'cha

and it will be gathered, the wealth of all the nations [4]

gold and silver [3]

in the house of the LORD of Hosts, [2]
