2 “I have loved you,” [3] says the LORD, [2] “How have you loved us?” [1] says the LORD, [2] Jacob, [1] |

3 but Esau [2] I hated; [1] a desolation, [2] for jackals of the wilderness.” [1] |

4 כִּי־תֹאמַ֨ר אֱד֜וֹם [4] Geresh רֻשַּׁ֗שְׁנוּ [3] Revi'i וְנִבְנֶ֣ה חֳרָב֔וֹת [2] Zaqef יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef וַאֲנִ֣י אֶהֱר֑וֹס [1] Etnachta גְּב֣וּל רִשְׁעָ֔ה [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁר־זָעַ֥ם יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
4 For Edom will say, [4] “We have been shattered, [3] and we will rebuild the ruins,” [2] the LORD of Hosts, [2] but I, I will tear down; [1] ‘a land of wickedness,’ [2] against whom the LORD was angry, [2] forever.” [1] |

5 And your eyes, [2] they will see; [1] “The LORD is great, [2] the border of Israel!” [1] |

6 “A son, [3] he honors a father, [2] and a servant his master; [1] And if a master am I, where is the fear due me? [4] says he, [4] the LORD of Hosts, [3] O priests [3] who despise my name. [2] ‘How have we despised [2] your name?’ [1] |

7 Bringing near on my altar [3] defiled bread. [2] ‘How have we defiled you?’ [1] ‘The table of the LORD, [2] it is contemptible.’ [1] |

8 וְכִֽי־תַגִּישׁ֨וּן עִוֵּ֤ר לִזְבֹּ֙חַ֙ [3 3] Pashta אֵ֣ין רָ֔ע [2] Zaqef פִּסֵּ֥חַ וְחֹלֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֵ֣ין רָ֑ע [1] Etnachta לְפֶחָתֶ֗ךָ [3] Revi'i א֚וֹ [3] Yetiv הֲיִשָּׂ֣א פָנֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq |
8 When you bring near the blind to sacrifice, [3 3] is it not evil? [2] the lame and sick, [2] is it not evil? [1] to your governor! [3] Or [3] will he lift up your face?” [2] the LORD of Hosts. [1] |

9 “So now [3] entreat please the face of God, [2] that he may be gracious to us; [1] this it was, [2] faces?” [2] the LORD of Hosts. [1] |

10 “Oh that there were one among you [3] who would shut the doors, [2] in vain! [1] in you,” [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] I will not accept from your hand. [1] |

11 For from the rising of the sun [4] to its setting, [3] among the nations, [2] incense is brought near [3] to my name, [2] and a pure offering; [1] among the nations,” [2] the LORD of Hosts. [1] |

12 “But you [2] profane it; [1] ‘The table of the LORD, [3] it is defiled, [2] its food is contemptible.’ [1] |

13 And you say, ‘Behold what weariness!’ [4] and you sniff at it”, [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] and the lame [3 3] and the sick, [2] the offering. [1] from your hand?” [2] says the LORD. [1] § |

14 וְאָר֣וּר נוֹכֵ֗ל [3] Revi'i וְיֵ֤שׁ בְּעֶדְרוֹ֙ [3] Pashta זָכָ֔ר [2] Zaqef וְזֹבֵ֥חַ מׇשְׁחָ֖ת [2] Tip'cha לַאדֹנָ֑י [1] Etnachta אָ֗נִי [3] Revi'i יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef נוֹרָ֥א בַגּוֹיִֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
14 “But cursed be one who deals deceptively, [3] who has in his flock [3] a male, [2] and who sacrifices a something blemished [2] to the Lord; [1] am I,” [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] is feared among the nations.” [1] |

2 אִם־לֹ֣א תִשְׁמְע֡וּ [4] Pazer וְאִם־לֹא֩ תָשִׂ֨ימוּ עַל־לֵ֜ב [4] Geresh לָתֵ֧ת כָּב֣וֹד לִשְׁמִ֗י [3] Revi'i יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef אֶת־הַמְּאֵרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef אֶת־בִּרְכוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta אָרוֹתִ֔יהָ [2] Zaqef שָׂמִ֥ים עַל־לֵֽב׃ [1] Silluq |
2 If you will not listen, [4] and if you will not take it to heart [4] to give honor to my name,” [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] the curse, [2] your blessings; [1] I have cursed it, [2] take (it) to heart. [1] |

3 Behold I will rebuke yours [3] the offspring, [2] on your faces, [2] of your feasts; [1] with it. [1] |

4 And you will know [2] I have sent to you [2] this commandment; [1] with Levi,” [2] the LORD of Hosts. [1] |

5 בְּרִיתִ֣י ׀ [4] Legarmeh הָיְתָ֣ה אִתּ֗וֹ [3] Revi'i וְהַשָּׁל֔וֹם [2] Zaqef וַיִּֽירָאֵ֑נִי [1] Etnachta נִחַ֥ת הֽוּא׃ [1] Silluq |
5 “My covenant, [4] it was with him, [3] and the peace, [2] and he feared me; [1] he was in awe, he. [1] |

6 The law of truth, [3] it was in his mouth, [2] it was not found on his lips; [1] he walked with me, [2] he turned away from iniquity. [1] |

7 For the lips of a priest, [3] they will preserve knowledge, [2] people will seek from his mouth; [1] the messenger of the LORD of Hosts [2] is he. [1] |

8 But you, [3] you have turned aside from the path. [2] in the law. [1] the covenant of Levi,” [2] the LORD of Hosts. [1] |

9 וְגַם־אֲנִ֞י [4] Gershayim נָתַ֧תִּי אֶתְכֶ֛ם [3] Tevir נִבְזִ֥ים וּשְׁפָלִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha לְכׇל־הָעָ֑ם [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁ֤ר אֵֽינְכֶם֙ [3] Pashta שֹׁמְרִ֣ים אֶת־דְּרָכַ֔י [2] Zaqef בַּתּוֹרָֽה׃ [1] Silluq פ |
9 “Therefore also I, [4] I have made you [3] despised and lowly [2] to all the people; [1] that you are not [3] keeping my ways, [2] in the law. [1] ¶ |

10 Do not one father [3] we all have? [2] one God [2] [he] create us? [1] do we deal treacherously [3] each with his brother, [2] the covenant of our fathers? [1] |

11 Judah has acted treacherously, [2] it has been committed in Israel, [2] and in Jerusalem; [1] Judah has profaned [3] which he loves, [2] a daughter of a foreign god. [1] |

12 May the LORD cut off [4] to the person who does it, [3 3] one who wakes and who answers, [2] of Jacob; [1] to the LORD [2] of Hosts. [1] ¶ |

13 And this [3] second thing you do, [2] the altar of the LORD, [2] and with groaning; [1] turning [3] to the offering, [2] from your hand. [1] |

14 Yet you say, [2] ‘For what reason?’ [1] that the LORD has been witness between you [4] and between [4] the wife of your youth, [3] you have been unfaithful to her, [2] and the wife of your covenant. [1] |

15 וְלֹא־אֶחָ֣ד עָשָׂ֗ה [3] Revi'i וּשְׁאָ֥ר ר֙וּחַ֙ [3 3] Pashta ל֔וֹ [2] Zaqef הָאֶחָ֔ד [2] Zaqef זֶ֣רַע אֱלֹהִ֑ים [1] Etnachta בְּר֣וּחֲכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef אַל־יִבְגֹּֽד׃ [1] Silluq |
15 Did he not make (them) one, [3] with a portion of the Spirit [3 3] that belongs to him? [2] one? [2] godly offspring. [1] to your spirit, [2] let no one be unfaithful. [1] |

16 For he hates divorce,” [3] says the LORD, [3] the God of Israel, [2] his garment!” [2] the LORD of Hosts; [1] that you not be unfaithful. [1] ¶ |

17 You have wearied the LORD [3] with your words. [2] ‘How have we wearied him?’ [1] is good [4] in the eyes of the LORD, [3] he, he delights,’ [2] is the God of justice?’ [1] |

2 “But who can endure [3] the day of his coming? [2] when he appears? [1] is like fire of a refiner, [2] of launderers, [1] |

3 וְיָשַׁ֨ב מְצָרֵ֤ף וּמְטַהֵר֙ [3] Pashta כֶּ֔סֶף [2] Zaqef וְזִקַּ֣ק אֹתָ֔ם [2] Zaqef וְכַכָּ֑סֶף [1] Etnachta לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef בִּצְדָקָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
3 and he will sit as a refiner and purifier [3] of silver, [2] and he will refine them [2] and like silver; [1] to the LORD, [2] in righteousness. [1] |

4 And it will be pleasing [3] to the LORD, [2] and Jerusalem; [1] and like years [2] of old. [1] |

5 וְקָרַבְתִּ֣י אֲלֵיכֶם֮ [3] Zarqa לַמִּשְׁפָּט֒ [2] Segol עֵ֣ד מְמַהֵ֗ר [3] Revi'i וּבַמְנָ֣אֲפִ֔ים [2] Zaqef לַשָּׁ֑קֶר [1] Etnachta אַלְמָנָ֨ה וְיָת֤וֹם וּמַטֵּי־גֵר֙ [3] Pashta וְלֹ֣א יְרֵא֔וּנִי [2] Zaqef יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq |
5 And I will draw near to you [3] for judgment, [2] a swift witness [3] and against the adulterers, [2] to falsehood; [1] the widow and the fatherless, and who deprive a foreigner of justice, [3] they don’t fear me,” [2] the LORD of Hosts. [1] |

7 From the days of your fathers [4] you have turned aside from my statutes, [3] and you have not kept them. [2] and I will return to you,” [2] the LORD of Hosts; [1] ‘How shall we return?’ [1] |

8 Will a man rob [4] God? [3] are robbing me. [2] ‘How have we robbed you?’ [1] and the offering. [1] |

9 With a curse [3] you are cursed, [2] you are robbing; [1] all of it. [1] |

15 And so [2] we [2] call the arrogant blessed; [1] those who work wickedness, [2] God, [2] and they have escaped.’ [1] |

16 Then they spoke together, [3] those who fear the LORD, [2] one with another; [1] and he listened, [2] a document of remembrance before him [3] for those who fear the LORD, [2] his name. [1] |

17 And they will belong to me,” [3] says he, [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] when I [2] am making a possession; [1] a man has compassion [2] who serves him. [1] |

3 And you shall tread down the wicked, [2] for they will be ashes [2] under [2] the soles of your feet; [1] when I act,” [2] the LORD of Hosts. [1] ¶ |
