DefinitionShort: a relationship involving shared purposes and activity

        Glosses: ['partnership', 'sharing']

Comments: In {S:04700601400014} δικαιοσύνη and ἀνομία refer to ‘those who do right’ and ‘those who do wrong.’ In fact, in a number of languages one can only translate this expression in {S:04700601400014} as ‘how can a person who does right and one who does wrong join in a partnership?’ or ‘how can one who does right and one who does wrong work together?’ In this same verse {L:κοινωνία} (see {D:34.5}) has a meaning closely corresponding to μετοχή, and similarly φῶς and σκότος refer respectively to ‘those who live in the light’ and ‘those who live in darkness,’ paralleling closely the distinction between δικαιοσύνη and ἀνομία.
