This is still a very early look into the unfinished text of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check the text in advance before using in public.

Facing up to your obligations

12:57 Facing up to your obligations

(Mat. 5:25-26)

57Even for yourselves, can’t you judge what is right and wrong? 58Because as you’re on the way with your opponent to an arbitrator, think hard about how to resolve the case, because if you don’t he might drag you off to the judge, and the judge will hand you over to the constable, and the constable will toss you into a prison cell. 59I’m telling you that you won’t get out of there until every last coin has been repaid.
