Practical Counsel

Practical Counsel

2I urge Euodia and Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. 3[fn]Yes, I ask yoʋ also, my true companion, to assist these women, who have contended for the gospel at my side, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

4Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say, rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. 6Be anxious about nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. 7And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

8Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if anything is virtuous or praiseworthy, think about such things. 9Practice what you have learned and received from me, and what you have heard and seen in me. And the God of peace will be with you.
