ULT MARK Chapter 16

MARK 16 ©

16And the Sabbath having passed, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Salome bought spices so that, having come, they might anoint him. 2And very early on the first of the week, they arrive at the tomb, the sun having come up. 3And they were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” 4And having looked up, they see that the stone has been rolled away, for it was extremely large. 5And having entered into the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe, sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. 6But he says to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus, the Nazarene, the one having been crucified. He was raised up! He is not here. See the place where they put him. 7But go, say to his disciples and to Peter, ‘He is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he said to you.’”

8And having gone out, they ran from the tomb, for trembling and amazement was gripping them. And they said nothing to anyone because they were afraid. 9[fn] [Now early on the first day of the week, having arisen, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons. 10That one went and told the ones with him, while they were mourning and weeping. 11And they heard that he was alive and that he had been seen by her, but they did not believe.

12Now after these things, he appeared in a different form to two of them as they were walking, going out into the country. 13And they, having gone, told the rest of the disciples, but they did not believe them.

14Now later, he appeared to the eleven as they were reclining to eat, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe the ones having seen him after he rose from the dead. 15And he said to them, “Having gone into all the world, preach the gospel to the entire creation. 16The one having believed and having been baptized will be saved, and the one having not believed will be condemned. 17Now these signs will go with the ones having believed: In my name they will cast out demons. They will speak in new languages. 18They will pick up snakes, and if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.”

19After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. 20Now those, having gone out, preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word by the signs that went with them. Amen.]
