1 Now there was a man of Benjamin, [3] was Kish the son of Abiel, [4] the son of Zeror, the son of Becorath, [3] the son of Aphiah, [2] of valor. [1] |

2 And he had a son [4] and his name was Saul, [3] a handsome young man, [2] of the children of Israel [2] more handsome than he; [1] he was taller [2] than any of the people. [1] |
|||
3 And they were lost, [3 3] the donkeys, [2] the father of Saul; [1] to Saul his son, [3] one of the young men, [2] look for [2] the donkeys.” [1] |
|||
4 And he passed through the hill country of Ephraim [3] and he passed through the land of Shalishah, [2] but they didn’t find them. [1] and not there, [2] but they didn’t find them. [1] |

5 When they, [3] they came [3] into the land of Zuph, [2] to his servant who was with him, [2] “Come! Let’s return, [1] about the donkeys, [2] and be anxious for us.” [1] |

6 And he said to him, [3] “Behold please, a man of God [3] is in this city. [2] All that he speaks, [2] it actually happens. [1] let’s go there. [2] he will tell us [2] on which we have walked.” [1] |
|||
7 Then Saul said [4] to his servant, [3] what will we bring to the man? [2] it has been used up from our bags, [2] to the man of God. [1] do we have?” [1] |

8 And the servant again [3 3] answered Saul, [2] I have in my hand [2] of a shekel of silver. [1] to the man of God, [2] our way.” [1] |

10 And Saul said to his servant, [3] “Well said. [2] Come! Let’s go.” [1] to the city [2] the man of God. [1] |

11 As they [3] were going up [3] the ascent to the city, [2] they found young maidens [2] to draw water; [1] “Is there here [2] the seer?” [1] |
|||

19 And Samuel answered [4] Saul, [3] “I am the seer. [2] to the high place, [2] today. [1] that is in your heart, [2] I will tell you. [1] |
|||
20 As for the donkeys [4] which were lost to you [3] three days, [2] on them, [2] for they have been found. [1] all that Israel desires? [2] and to all [2] the house of your father?” [1] § |

21 And Saul answered [4] and he said, [3] from the smallest [3] of the tribes of Israel? [2] the least [2] of the tribe of Benjamin? [1] do you speak to me [2] this?” [1] § |

22 And Samuel took [3] Saul and his servant, [2] into the room; [1] at the head of those who were invited, [2] were about thirty persons. [1] |

23 And Samuel said [3] to the cook, [2] the portion [2] to you; [1] I said to you, [2] with you.’ ” [1] |

24 And the cook picked up [4 4] the thigh and that which was on it, [4] and he set it [4] before Saul, [3] “Behold, that which has been reserved. [3] Set it before you and eat; [2] it has been kept for you saying, [2] ‘The people I have invited.’ ” [1] with Samuel [2] that day. [1] |
