1 Hear [4] this word [3] against you, [2] the whole family [2] from the land of Egypt, [2] saying, [1] |

2 “Only [3] you have I chosen [2] the families of the earth; [1] I will visit on you [2] all your sins.” [1] |

6 If a shofar is blown [3] in a city, [2] will they not tremble? [1] in a city, [2] has he not caused it? [1] |

9 Proclaim [3 3] to the palaces in Ashdod, [2] in the land of Egypt; [1] “Assemble yourselves [3] on the mountains of Samaria, [2] great unrest [3] in the midst of it, [2] in its midst.” [1] |

10 “And they don’t know to do right,” [2] says the LORD; [1] violence and devastation [2] in their palaces.” [1] ¶ |

11 Therefore [3] thus he says, [3] the Lord GOD, [2] will overrun the land; [1] your strongholds, [2] your fortresses.” [1] |

12 Thus [3] says the LORD, [2] from the mouth of the lion, [3] two legs, [2] or a piece of an ear; [1] the children of Israel [3] in Samaria, [2] and with silk cushions of a couch.” [1] |
