[1]
	²וְהִשְׁתְּכַ֣ח בְּאַחְמְתָ֗א [3] Revi'i בְּבִ֥ירְתָ֛א [3] Tevir דִּ֛י [3] Tevir בְּמָדַ֥י מְדִינְתָּ֖א [2] Tip'cha מְגִלָּ֣ה חֲדָ֑ה [1] Etnachta וְכֵן־כְּתִ֥יב בְּגַוַּ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha דִּכְרוֹנָֽהֿ׃ [1] Silluq פ		²And it was found in Achmetha [3] in the palace [3] which [3] is in Media the province, [2] a scroll; [1] and like this was written in it [2] the record: [1] ¶
	³בִּשְׁנַ֨ת חֲדָ֜ה [4] Geresh לְכ֣וֹרֶשׁ מַלְכָּ֗א [3] Revi'i כּ֣וֹרֶשׁ מַלְכָּא֮ [3] Zarqa שָׂ֣ם טְעֵם֒ [2] Segol בֵּית־אֱלָהָ֤א בִֽירוּשְׁלֶם֙ [3] Pashta בַּיְתָ֣א יִתְבְּנֵ֔א [2] Zaqef אֲתַר֙ [3] Pashta דִּֽי־דָבְחִ֣ין דִּבְחִ֔ין [2] Zaqef וְאֻשּׁ֖וֹהִי [2] Tip'cha מְסֽוֹבְלִ֑ין [1] Etnachta רוּמֵהּ֙ [3] Pashta אַמִּ֣ין שִׁתִּ֔ין [2] Zaqef פְּתָיֵ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha אַמִּ֥ין שִׁתִּֽין׃ [1] Silluq		³In the first year [4] of Cyrus the king, [3] Cyrus the king, [3] he made a decree, [2] the house of God in Jerusalem, [3] let the house be built, [2] a place [3] where they offer sacrifices, [2] and let its foundations [2] be strongly laid; [1] its height [3] sixty cubits, [2] its width [2] sixty cubits, [1]
	⁴נִדְבָּכִ֞ין [4] Gershayim דִּי־אֶ֤בֶן גְּלָל֙ [3] Pashta תְּלָתָ֔א [2] Zaqef וְנִדְבָּ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha דִּי־אָ֣ע חֲדַ֑ת [1] Etnachta וְנִ֨פְקְתָ֔א [2] Zaqef מִן־בֵּ֥ית מַלְכָּ֖א [2] Tip'cha תִּתְיְהִֽב׃ [1] Silluq ס		⁴courses [4] of great stones [3] three, [2] and a course [2] of new timber; [1] and the expense, [2] from the house of the king [2] let it be given. 	⁶כְּעַ֡ן [4] Pazer תַּ֠תְּנַ֠י [4 4] TelishaG פַּחַ֨ת עֲבַֽר־נַהֲרָ֜ה [4] Geresh שְׁתַ֤ר בּוֹזְנַי֙ [3] Pashta וּכְנָוָ֣תְה֔וֹן [2] Zaqef אֲפַ֨רְסְכָיֵ֔א [2] Zaqef דִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha בַּעֲבַ֣ר נַהֲרָ֑ה [1] Etnachta רַחִיקִ֥ין הֲו֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha מִן־תַּמָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq		⁶Now [4] O Tattenai, [4 4] governor of the region beyond the River, [4] Shetharbozenai, [3] and their companions, [2] the Apharsachites, [2] who [2] are in the region beyond the River; [1] stay far [2] from there. [1]
	⁷שְׁבֻ֕קוּ [2] ZaqefG לַעֲבִידַ֖ת [2] Tip'cha בֵּית־אֱלָהָ֣א דֵ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta פַּחַ֤ת יְהוּדָיֵא֙ [3] Pashta וּלְשָׂבֵ֣י יְהוּדָיֵ֔א [2] Zaqef בֵּית־אֱלָהָ֥א דֵ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha יִבְנ֥וֹן עַל־אַתְרֵֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq		⁷Leave alone [2] the work [2] of this house of God; [1] the governor of the Jews [3] and the elders of the Jews, [2] this house of God, [2] let them build in its place. [1]
	⁸וּמִנִּי֮ [3] Zarqa שִׂ֣ים טְעֵם֒ [2] Segol לְמָ֣א דִֽי־תַֽעַבְד֗וּן [3] Revi'i עִם־שָׂבֵ֤י יְהוּדָיֵא֙ [3] Pashta אִלֵּ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef לְמִבְנֵ֖א [2] Tip'cha בֵּית־אֱלָהָ֣א דֵ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta וּמִנִּכְסֵ֣י מַלְכָּ֗א [3] Revi'i דִּ֚י [3] Yetiv מִדַּת֙ [3] Pashta עֲבַ֣ר נַהֲרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef אׇסְפַּ֗רְנָא [3] Revi'i נִפְקְתָ֛א [3] Tevir תֶּהֱוֵ֧א מִֽתְיַהֲבָ֛א [3] Tevir לְגֻבְרַיָּ֥א אִלֵּ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha דִּי־לָ֥א לְבַטָּלָֽא׃ [1] Silluq		⁸And from me [3] a decree is made, [2] what you shall do [3] for the elders of the Jews [3] these, [2] to build [2] this house of God; [1] that from the property of the king, [3] which [3] is the tribute [3] of the region beyond the River, [2] diligently [3] the expense [3] let it be given [3] to these men, [2] that they not be hindered. [1]
	⁹וּמָ֣ה חַשְׁחָ֡ן [4] Pazer וּבְנֵ֣י תוֹרִ֣ין וְדִכְרִ֣ין וְאִמְּרִ֣ין ׀ לַעֲלָוָ֣ן ׀ לֶאֱלָ֪הּ שְׁמַיָּ֟א [4] Qarnei Farah חִנְטִ֞ין [4] Gershayim מְלַ֣ח ׀ [4] Legarmeh חֲמַ֣ר וּמְשַׁ֗ח [3] Revi'i כְּמֵאמַ֨ר כָּהֲנַיָּ֤א דִי־בִירֽוּשְׁלֶם֙ [3] Pashta לֶהֱוֵ֨א מִתְיְהֵ֥ב לְהֹ֛ם [3] Tevir י֥וֹם ׀ בְּי֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha דִּי־לָ֥א שָׁלֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq		⁹And whatever things needed, [4] young bulls and rams and lambs, for burnt offerings to the God of the heavens, [4] wheat, [4] salt, [4] wine and oil, [3] according to the word of the priests who are in Jerusalem, [3] let it be given to them [3] day by day, [2] without fail, [1]
	¹⁰דִּֽי־לֶהֱוֺ֧ן מְהַקְרְבִ֛ין [3] Tevir נִיחוֹחִ֖ין [2] Tip'cha לֶאֱלָ֣הּ שְׁמַיָּ֑א [1] Etnachta וּמְצַלַּ֕יִן [2] ZaqefG לְחַיֵּ֥י מַלְכָּ֖א [2] Tip'cha וּבְנֽוֹהִי׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁰that they may offer [3] soothing sacrifices [2] to the God of the heavens; [1] and pray [2] for the life of the king [2] and his sons. [1]
	¹¹וּמִנִּי֮ [3] Zarqa שִׂ֣ים טְעֵם֒ [2] Segol דִּ֣י כׇל־אֱנָ֗שׁ [3] Revi'i דִּ֤י יְהַשְׁנֵא֙ [3] Pashta פִּתְגָמָ֣א דְנָ֔ה [2] Zaqef יִתְנְסַ֥ח אָע֙ [3] Pashta מִן־בַּיְתֵ֔הּ [2] Zaqef וּזְקִ֖יף [2] Tip'cha יִתְמְחֵ֣א עֲלֹ֑הִי [1] Etnachta וּבַיְתֵ֛הּ [3] Tevir נְוָל֥וּ יִתְעֲבֵ֖ד [2] Tip'cha עַל־דְּנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq		¹¹And from me [3] a decree is made, [2] that everyone [3] who violates [3] this command, [2] let a beam be pulled out [3] from his house, [2] and let him be lifted up [2] and impaled on it; [1] and his house, [3] let a refuse heap be made [2] on this. [1]
	¹²וֵֽאלָהָ֞א [4] Gershayim דִּ֣י שַׁכִּ֧ן שְׁמֵ֣הּ תַּמָּ֗ה [3] Revi'i יְמַגַּ֞ר [4] Gershayim כׇּל־מֶ֤לֶךְ וְעַם֙ [3] Pashta דִּ֣י ׀ [4] Legarmeh יִשְׁלַ֣ח יְדֵ֗הּ [3] Revi'i לְהַשְׁנָיָ֛ה [3] Tevir לְחַבָּלָ֛ה [3] Tevir בֵּית־אֱלָהָ֥א דֵ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha דִּ֣י בִירוּשְׁלֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta אֲנָ֤ה דָרְיָ֙וֶשׁ֙ [3 3] Pashta שָׂ֣מֶת טְעֵ֔ם [2] Zaqef אׇסְפַּ֖רְנָא [2] Tip'cha יִתְעֲבִֽד׃ [1] Silluq פ		¹²And God [4] who has caused his name to dwell there, [3] may he overthrow [4] every king and people [3] who [4] stretches out his hand [3] to violate, [3] to destroy [3] this house of God, [2] which is in Jerusalem. [1] I Darius, [3 3] I make a decree. [2] Diligently [2] let it be done. [1] ¶
	¹³אֱ֠דַ֠יִן [4 4] TelishaG תַּתְּנַ֞י [4] Gershayim פַּחַ֧ת עֲבַֽר־נַהֲרָ֛ה [3] Tevir שְׁתַ֥ר בּוֹזְנַ֖י [2] Tip'cha וּכְנָוָתְה֑וֹן [1] Etnachta לׇקֳבֵ֗ל [3] Revi'i דִּֽי־שְׁלַ֞ח [4] Gershayim דָּרְיָ֧וֶשׁ מַלְכָּ֛א [3] Tevir כְּנֵ֖מָא [2] Tip'cha אׇסְפַּ֥רְנָא עֲבַֽדוּ׃ [1] Silluq		¹³Then [4 4] Tattenai, [4] the governor of the region beyond the River, [3] Shetharbozenai, [2] and their companions; [1] because of that [3] which he had sent, [4] Darius the king, [3] accordingly, [2] diligently they did. [1]
	¹⁴וְשָׂבֵ֤י יְהוּדָיֵא֙ [3] Pashta בָּנַ֣יִן וּמַצְלְחִ֔ין [2] Zaqef בִּנְבוּאַת֙ [3] Pashta חַגַּ֣י נביאה *נְבִיָּ֔א [2] Zaqef וּזְכַרְיָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha בַּר־עִדּ֑וֹא [1] Etnachta וּבְנ֣וֹ וְשַׁכְלִ֗לוּ [3] Revi'i מִן־טַ֙עַם֙ [3 3] Pashta אֱלָ֣הּ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef וּמִטְּעֵם֙ [3] Pashta כּ֣וֹרֶשׁ וְדָרְיָ֔וֶשׁ [2] Zaqef וְאַרְתַּחְשַׁ֖שְׂתְּא [2] Tip'cha מֶ֥לֶךְ פָּרָֽס׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁴And the elders of the Jews [3] built and prospered, [2] by the prophesying [3] of Haggai the prophet [2] and Zechariah [2] son of Iddo; [1] and they built and they finished, [3] according to the decree [3 3] of the God of Israel, [2] and according to the decree [3] of Cyrus and Darius, [2] and Artaxerxes [2] king of Persia. [1]
	¹⁵וְשֵׁיצִיא֙ [3] Pashta בַּיְתָ֣ה דְנָ֔ה [2] Zaqef עַ֛ד [3] Tevir י֥וֹם תְּלָתָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha לִירַ֣ח אֲדָ֑ר [1] Etnachta דִּי־הִ֣יא שְׁנַת־שֵׁ֔ת [2] Zaqef לְמַלְכ֖וּת [2] Tip'cha דָּרְיָ֥וֶשׁ מַלְכָּֽא׃ [1] Silluq פ		¹⁵And it was finished [3] this house, [2] on [3] day three [2] of the month of Adar; [1] which was in year six [2] of the reign [2] of Darius the king. [1] ¶
	¹⁶וַעֲבַ֣דוּ בְנֵֽי־יִ֠שְׂרָאֵ֠ל [4 4] TelishaG כָּהֲנַיָּ֨א וְלֵוָיֵ֜א [4] Geresh וּשְׁאָ֣ר בְּנֵי־גָלוּתָ֗א [3] Revi'i חֲנֻכַּ֛ת [3] Tevir בֵּית־אֱלָהָ֥א דְנָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha בְּחֶדְוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁶And they made, the children of Israel, [4 4] the priests and the Levites [4] and the rest of the children of the exile, [3] the dedication [3] of this house of God, [2] with joy. [1]
	¹⁷וְהַקְרִ֗בוּ [3] Revi'i לַחֲנֻכַּת֮ [3] Zarqa בֵּית־אֱלָהָ֣א דְנָה֒ [2] Segol תּוֹרִ֣ין מְאָ֔ה [2] Zaqef דִּכְרִ֣ין מָאתַ֔יִן [2] Zaqef אִמְּרִ֖ין [2] Tip'cha אַרְבַּ֣ע מְאָ֑ה [1] Etnachta וּצְפִירֵ֨י עִזִּ֜ין [4] Geresh לחטיא *לְחַטָּאָ֤ה עַל־כׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ [3] Pashta תְּרֵֽי־עֲשַׂ֔ר [2] Zaqef לְמִנְיָ֖ן [2] Tip'cha שִׁבְטֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁷And they offered [3] for the dedication [3] of this house of God, [2] bulls, one hundred [2] rams, two hundred [2] lambs [2] four hundred; [1] and male goats [4] for a sin offering for all Israel, [3] two and ten, [2] according to the number [2] of the tribes of Israel. [1]
	¹⁸וַהֲקִ֨ימוּ כָהֲנַיָּ֜א [4] Geresh בִּפְלֻגָּתְה֗וֹן [3] Revi'i וְלֵוָיֵא֙ [3] Pashta בְּמַחְלְקָ֣תְה֔וֹן [2] Zaqef עַל־עֲבִידַ֥ת אֱלָהָ֖א [2] Tip'cha דִּ֣י בִירוּשְׁלֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta כִּכְתָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha סְפַ֥ר מֹשֶֽׁה׃ [1] Silluq פ		¹⁸And they appointed the priests [4] in their divisions, [3] and the Levites [3] in their courses, [2] for the service of God [2] which is in Jerusalem; [1] as it is written [2] in the book of Moses. [1] ¶
	¹⁹וַיַּעֲשׂ֥וּ בְנֵי־הַגּוֹלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֶת־הַפָּ֑סַח [1] Etnachta בְּאַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֖ר [2] Tip'cha לַחֹ֥דֶשׁ הָרִאשֽׁוֹן׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁹And the children of the exile celebrated [2] the Passover; [1] on day four and ten [2] of the first month. [1]
	²⁰כִּ֣י הִֽטַּהֲר֞וּ [4] Gershayim הַכֹּהֲנִ֧ים וְהַלְוִיִּ֛ם [3] Tevir כְּאֶחָ֖ד [2] Tip'cha כֻּלָּ֣ם טְהוֹרִ֑ים [1] Etnachta וַיִּשְׁחֲט֤וּ הַפֶּ֙סַח֙ [3 3] Pashta לְכׇל־בְּנֵ֣י הַגּוֹלָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְלַאֲחֵיהֶ֥ם הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha וְלָהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq		²⁰Because they had purified themselves, [4] the priests and the Levites [3] together, [2] all of them were pure; [1] and they killed the Passover [3 3] for all the children of the exile, [2] and for their brothers the priests [2] and for themselves. [1]
	²¹וַיֹּאכְל֣וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל [3] Revi'i הַשָּׁבִים֙ [3] Pashta מֵֽהַגּוֹלָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְכֹ֗ל [3] Revi'i הַנִּבְדָּ֛ל [3] Tevir מִטֻּמְאַ֥ת גּוֹיֵֽ־הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha אֲלֵהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta לִדְרֹ֕שׁ [2] ZaqefG לַֽיהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq		²¹And they ate, the children of Israel [3] who had returned [3] from the exile, [2] and all [3] who had separated themselves [3] from the uncleanness of the nations of the land [2] to them; [1] to seek [2] the LORD, [2] the God of Israel, [1]
	²²וַיַּֽעֲשׂ֧וּ חַג־מַצּ֛וֹת [3] Tevir שִׁבְעַ֥ת יָמִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha בְּשִׂמְחָ֑ה [1] Etnachta כִּ֣י ׀ [4] Legarmeh שִׂמְּחָ֣ם יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i וְֽהֵסֵ֞ב [4] Gershayim לֵ֤ב מֶֽלֶךְ־אַשּׁוּר֙ [3] Pashta עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef לְחַזֵּ֣ק יְדֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef בִּמְלֶ֥אכֶת בֵּית־הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq פ		²²and they celebrated the feast of unleavened bread [3] seven days [2] with joy; [1] because [4] the LORD had made them rejoice, [3] and he had turned [4] the heart of the king of Assyria [3] to them, [2] to strengthen their hands [2] in the work of the house of God, [2] the God of Israel.
