| 1 וְיוֹסֵ֖ף [2] Tip'cha הוּרַ֣ד מִצְרָ֑יְמָה [1] Etnachta פּוֹטִיפַר֩ סְרִ֨יס פַּרְעֹ֜ה [4] Geresh שַׂ֤ר הַטַּבָּחִים֙ [3] Pashta אִ֣ישׁ מִצְרִ֔י [2] Zaqef הַיִּשְׁמְעֵאלִ֔ים [2] Zaqef שָֽׁמָּה׃ [1] Silluq |
1 And Joseph, [2] he had been brought down to Egypt; [1] Potiphar the official of Pharaoh, [4] the captain of the guard, [3] an Egyptian, [2] of the Ishmaelites [2] to there. [1] |

| 2 וַיְהִ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־יוֹסֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef אִ֣ישׁ מַצְלִ֑יחַ [1] Etnachta בְּבֵ֖ית [2] Tip'cha אֲדֹנָ֥יו הַמִּצְרִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
2 And the LORD was [3] with Joseph, [2] a successful man; [1] in the house of his master [2] the Egyptian. [1] |

| 3 וַיַּ֣רְא אֲדֹנָ֔יו [2] Zaqef כִּ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אִתּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁר־ה֣וּא עֹשֶׂ֔ה [2] Zaqef מַצְלִ֥יחַ בְּיָדֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
3 And his master saw [2] that the LORD [2] was with him; [1] that he was doing [2] was making successful in his hand. [1] |

| 4 וַיִּמְצָ֨א יוֹסֵ֥ף חֵ֛ן [3] Tevir בְּעֵינָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha וַיְשָׁ֣רֶת אֹת֑וֹ [1] Etnachta עַל־בֵּית֔וֹ [2] Zaqef נָתַ֥ן בְּיָדֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
4 And Joseph found favor [3] in his sight, [2] and he served him; [1] over his household, [2] he put in his hand. [1] |

| 5 וַיְהִ֡י [4] Pazer מֵאָז֩ הִפְקִ֨יד אֹת֜וֹ [4] Geresh בְּבֵית֗וֹ [3] Revi'i כׇּל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר יֶשׁ־ל֔וֹ [2] Zaqef אֶת־בֵּ֥ית הַמִּצְרִ֖י [2] Tip'cha בִּגְלַ֣ל יוֹסֵ֑ף [1] Etnachta בִּרְכַּ֤ת יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta בְּכׇל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר יֶשׁ־ל֔וֹ [2] Zaqef וּבַשָּׂדֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
5 And [4] from the time he appointed him [4] in his household, [3] all that he had, [2] the household of the Egyptian [2] for the sake of Joseph; [1] the blessing of the LORD, [3] on all that he had, [2] and in the field. [1] |

| 6 וַיַּעֲזֹ֣ב כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר־לוֹ֮ [3] Zarqa בְּיַד־יוֹסֵף֒ [2] Segol מְא֔וּמָה [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁר־ה֣וּא אוֹכֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta יְפֵה־תֹ֖אַר [2] Tip'cha וִיפֵ֥ה מַרְאֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
6 And he left all that he had [3] in the hand of Joseph, [2] with anything [2] which he ate; [1] well-built [2] and handsome. [1] |

| 7 וַיְהִ֗י [3] Revi'i אַחַר֙ [3] Pashta הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה [2] Zaqef אֶת־עֵינֶ֖יהָ [2] Tip'cha אֶל־יוֹסֵ֑ף [1] Etnachta שִׁכְבָ֥ה עִמִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
7 And [3] after [3] these things, [2] her eyes [2] to Joseph; [1] “Lie with me.” [1] |

| 8 וַיְמָאֵ֓ן ׀ [2] Shalshelet אֶל־אֵ֣שֶׁת אֲדֹנָ֔יו [2] Zaqef לֹא־יָדַ֥ע אִתִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha מַה־בַּבָּ֑יִת [1] Etnachta נָתַ֥ן בְּיָדִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
8 But he refused, [2] to the wife of his master, [2] doesn’t concern himself with [2] anything in the house; [1] he has put in my hand. [1] |

| 9 אֵינֶ֨נּוּ גָד֜וֹל [4] Geresh בַּבַּ֣יִת הַזֶּה֮ [3] Zarqa מִמֶּ֒נִּי֒ [2 2] Segol מְא֔וּמָה [2] Zaqef בַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר אַתְּ־אִשְׁתּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta הָרָעָ֤ה הַגְּדֹלָה֙ [3] Pashta הַזֹּ֔את [2] Zaqef לֵֽאלֹהִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
9 No one is greater [4] in this household [3] than I am, [2 2] anything [2] because you are his wife; [1] the great evil, [3] this, [2] against God?” [1] |

| 10 וַיְהִ֕י [2] ZaqefG כְּדַבְּרָ֥הּ אֶל־יוֹסֵ֖ף [2] Tip'cha י֣וֹם ׀ י֑וֹם [1] Etnachta לִשְׁכַּ֥ב אֶצְלָ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha לִהְי֥וֹת עִמָּֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq |
10 And [2] as she spoke to Joseph [2] day by day; [1] to lie beside her, [2] to be with her. [1] |

| 11 וַיְהִי֙ [3] Pashta כְּהַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה [2] Zaqef לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת מְלַאכְתּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta מֵאַנְשֵׁ֥י הַבַּ֛יִת [3] Tevir שָׁ֖ם [2] Tip'cha בַּבָּֽיִת׃ [1] Silluq |
11 And about [3] this time [2] to do his work; [1] of the men of the house [3] were there [2] in the house. [1] |

| 12 וַתִּתְפְּשֵׂ֧הוּ בְּבִגְד֛וֹ [3] Tevir לֵאמֹ֖ר [2] Tip'cha שִׁכְבָ֣ה עִמִּ֑י [1] Etnachta בְּיָדָ֔הּ [2] Zaqef וַיֵּצֵ֥א הַחֽוּצָה׃ [1] Silluq |
12 And she caught him by his garment [3] saying, [2] “Lie with me!” [1] in her hand, [2] and he went outside. [1] |

13 And [3] when she saw [2] in her hand; [1] outside, [1] |

| 14 וַתִּקְרָ֞א [4] Gershayim לְאַנְשֵׁ֣י בֵיתָ֗הּ [3] Revi'i לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef הֵ֥בִיא לָ֛נוּ [3] Tevir אִ֥ישׁ עִבְרִ֖י [2] Tip'cha לְצַ֣חֶק בָּ֑נוּ [1] Etnachta לִשְׁכַּ֣ב עִמִּ֔י [2] Zaqef בְּק֥וֹל גָּדֽוֹל׃ [1] Silluq |
14 she called [4] to the men of her house, [3] saying, [2] he has brought to us [3] a Hebrew man, [2] to mock us; [1] to lie with me, [2] with a loud voice. [1] |

| 15 וַיְהִ֣י כְשׇׁמְע֔וֹ [2] Zaqef כִּֽי־הֲרִימֹ֥תִי קוֹלִ֖י [2] Tip'cha וָאֶקְרָ֑א [1] Etnachta אֶצְלִ֔י [2] Zaqef וַיֵּצֵ֥א הַחֽוּצָה׃ [1] Silluq |
15 And when he heard [2] that I raised my voice [2] and I called out; [1] beside me, [2] and he went outside.” [1] |

| 16 וַתַּנַּ֥ח בִּגְד֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha אֶצְלָ֑הּ [1] Etnachta אֶל־בֵּיתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
16 And she placed his garment [2] beside her; [1] to his house. [1] |

| 17 וַתְּדַבֵּ֣ר אֵלָ֔יו [2] Zaqef כַּדְּבָרִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה [2] Tip'cha לֵאמֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta הָעֶ֧בֶד הָֽעִבְרִ֛י [3] Tevir אֲשֶׁר־הֵבֵ֥אתָ לָּ֖נוּ [2] Tip'cha לְצַ֥חֶק בִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
17 And she spoke to him [2] according to these words [2] saying; [1] the Hebrew servant [3] whom you brought to us, [2] to mock me, [1] |

| 18 וַיְהִ֕י [2] ZaqefG כַּהֲרִימִ֥י קוֹלִ֖י [2] Tip'cha וָאֶקְרָ֑א [1] Etnachta אֶצְלִ֖י [2] Tip'cha וַיָּ֥נׇס הַחֽוּצָה׃ [1] Silluq |
18 and [2] as I lifted up my voice [2] and I called out; [1] beside me, [2] and he ran outside.” [1] |

| 19 וַיְהִי֩ כִשְׁמֹ֨עַ אֲדֹנָ֜יו [4] Geresh אֶת־דִּבְרֵ֣י אִשְׁתּ֗וֹ [3] Revi'i לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef עָ֥שָׂה לִ֖י [2] Tip'cha עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta אַפּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
19 And when his master heard [4] the words of his wife [3] saying, [2] he did to me, [2] your servant,” [1] his anger. [1] |

| 20 וַיִּקַּח֩ אֲדֹנֵ֨י יוֹסֵ֜ף [4] Geresh אֹת֗וֹ [3] Revi'i אֶל־בֵּ֣ית הַסֹּ֔הַר [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁר־*אסורי **אֲסִירֵ֥י הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ [2] Tip'cha אֲסוּרִ֑ים [1] Etnachta בְּבֵ֥ית הַסֹּֽהַר׃ [1] Silluq |
20 And the master of Joseph took [4] him, [3] into the prison house, [2] where the prisoners of the king [2] were imprisoned; [1] in the prison house. [1] |

| 21 וַיְהִ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־יוֹסֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef חָ֑סֶד [1] Etnachta בְּעֵינֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha שַׂ֥ר בֵּית־הַסֹּֽהַר׃ [1] Silluq |
21 But the LORD was [3] with Joseph, [2] kindness; [1] in the sight [2] of the keeper of the prison house. [1] |

| 22 וַיִּתֵּ֞ן [4] Gershayim שַׂ֤ר בֵּית־הַסֹּ֙הַר֙ [3 3] Pashta בְּיַד־יוֹסֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef כׇּל־הָ֣אֲסִירִ֔ם [2] Zaqef בְּבֵ֣ית הַסֹּ֑הַר [1] Etnachta שָׁ֔ם [2] Zaqef הָיָ֥ה עֹשֶֽׂה׃ [1] Silluq |
22 And he gave, [4] the keeper of the prison house, [3 3] into the hand of Joseph [2] all the prisoners [2] were in the prison house; [1] there, [2] he was responsible for. [1] |

23 Was not [4] the keeper of the prison house [3] in his hands, [2] was with him; [1] the LORD was making successful. [1] ¶ |
