הושע 7 | Hosea 7 | |||
1 Just as I heal Israel, [3] the iniquity of Ephraim [3 3] and the evil deeds of Samaria, [2] falsehood; [1] a gang of robbers attacks [2] in the street. [1] |
2 And they don’t consider [3] in their hearts, [2] I remember; [1] their own deeds have surrounded them. [2] they are. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
3 By their evil [2] they make glad the king; [1] princes. [1] |
4 All of them [3] are adulterers, [2] burning [2] from a baker; [1] from kneading the dough [2] until it is leavened. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
5 The day of our king, [2] the princes became sick [2] with fever from wine; [1] with mockers. [1] |
6 For they have prepared like an oven [3] their heart, [2] while they lie in wait; [1] their baker is sleeping, [2] it's burning [2] like a flaming fire. [1] |
7 All of them are hot [3 3] like an oven, [2] their rulers. [1] There is no one among them who calls [2] to me. [1] |
8 Ephraim, [2] among the nations [2] he, he mixes himself; [1] he has become a pancake [2] not turned over. [1] |
9 Strangers have consumed [3] his strength, [2] he knows not; [1] it has sneaked in on him, [2] he knows not. [1] |
10 And the pride of Israel testifies [2] in its face; [1] to the LORD their God, [2] for all this. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
11 “And Ephraim has become, [2] like a dove easily deceived [2] without understanding; [1] Assyria they have gone to. [1] |
12 When they go, [3] I will spread over them [3] my net, [2] I will bring them down; [1] as in the report [2] that comes to their assembly. [1] § |
13 Woe to them [3] for they have fled from me. [2] for they have trespassed against me. [1] yet they, [2] they have spoken against me [2] lies. [1] |
14 And they haven’t cried out to me [3] with their heart, [2] on their beds. [1] they assemble themselves. [2] They turn away against me. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
15 Though I, I instructed, [2] I strengthened [2] their arms; [1] they plot evil. [1] |
16 They turn, [4] but not to the Most High. [3] like a slack bow. [2] their leaders, [2] from the rage of their tongue. [1] in the land of Egypt. [1] |
