1 ה֥וֹי אֶ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
צִלְצַ֣ל כְּנָפָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר מֵעֵ֖בֶר [2] Tip'cha
לְנַהֲרֵי־כֽוּשׁ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 1 Alas, O land [2]
of whirring of wings; [1]
 
which is from the other side [2]
of the rivers of Cush, [1]
2 הַשֹּׁלֵ֨חַ בַּיָּ֜ם [4] Geresh
צִירִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
 
וּבִכְלֵי־גֹ֘מֶא֮ [3 3] Zarqa
עַל־פְּנֵי־מַ֒יִם֒ [2 2] Segol
 
לְכ֣וּ ׀ [4] Legarmeh
מַלְאָכִ֣ים קַלִּ֗ים [3] Revi'i
 
אֶל־גּוֹי֙ [3] Pashta
מְמֻשָּׁ֣ךְ וּמוֹרָ֔ט [2] Zaqef
 
אֶל־עַ֥ם נוֹרָ֖א [2] Tip'cha
מִן־ה֣וּא וָהָ֑לְאָה [1] Etnachta
 
גּ֚וֹי [3] Yetiv
קַו־קָ֣ו וּמְבוּסָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁר־בָּזְא֥וּ נְהָרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אַרְצֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

O swift messengers, [3]
 
to a nation [3]
tall and smooth skinned, [2]
 
to a people feared [2]
from their beginning onward; [1]
 
a nation [3]
mighty and conquering, [2]
 
whose rivers divide [2]
its land. [1]

וְשֹׁ֣כְנֵי אָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּנְשֹׂא־נֵ֤ס הָרִים֙ [3] Pashta
תִּרְא֔וּ [2] Zaqef
 
וְכִתְקֹ֥עַ שׁוֹפָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
תִּשְׁמָֽעוּ׃ [1] Silluq

and dwellers on the earth; [1]
 
when a banner is lifted up on the mountains [3]
you will see it, [2]
 
and when a shofar sounds, [2]
you will hear it. [1]

4 כִּי֩ כֹ֨ה אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֵלַ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
*אשקוטה **אֶשְׁקֳטָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְאַבִּ֣יטָה בִמְכוֹנִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
כְּחֹ֥ם צַח֙ [3] Pashta
עֲלֵי־א֔וֹר [2] Zaqef
 
כְּעָ֥ב טַ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
בְּחֹ֥ם קָצִֽיר׃ [1] Silluq

“I will remain quiet [2]
and I will watch in my dwelling place; [1]
 
like heat dazzling [3]
with light, [2]
 
like a cloud of dew [2]
in the heat of harvest.” [1]
5 כִּֽי־לִפְנֵ֤י קָצִיר֙ [3] Pashta
כְּתׇם־פֶּ֔רַח [2] Zaqef
 
וּבֹ֥סֶר גֹּמֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
יִֽהְיֶ֣ה נִצָּ֑הֿ [1] Etnachta
 
וְכָרַ֤ת הַזַּלְזַלִּים֙ [3] Pashta
בַּמַּזְמֵר֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֶת־הַנְּטִישׁ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
הֵסִ֥יר הֵתַֽז׃ [1] Silluq

when the bud is finished, [2]
 
and ripening grapes, [2]
the blossom becomes; [1]
 
he will cut off the shoots [3]
with pruning knives, [2]
 
and the tendrils [2]
he will remove; he will cut away. [1]
6 יֵעָזְב֤וּ יַחְדָּו֙ [3] Pashta
לְעֵ֣יט הָרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וּֽלְבֶהֱמַ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
הָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta
 
וְקָ֤ץ עָלָיו֙ [3] Pashta
הָעַ֔יִט [2] Zaqef
 
וְכׇל־בֶּהֱמַ֥ת הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
עָלָ֥יו תֶּחֱרָֽף׃ [1] Silluq

to birds of prey of the mountains, [2]
 
and to the animals [2]
of the earth; [1]
 
and they will pass the summer on them, [3]
the birds of prey, [2]
 
and all the animals of the earth, [2]
they will pass the winter on them. [1]

לַֽיהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֗וֹת [3] Revi'i

מְמֻשָּׁ֣ךְ וּמוֹרָ֔ט [2] Zaqef
 
וּמֵעַ֥ם נוֹרָ֖א [2] Tip'cha
מִן־ה֣וּא וָהָ֑לְאָה [1] Etnachta
 
גּ֣וֹי ׀ [4] Legarmeh
קַו־קָ֣ו וּמְבוּסָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
אֲשֶׁ֨ר בָּזְא֤וּ נְהָרִים֙ [3] Pashta

אֶל־מְק֛וֹם [3] Tevir
שֵׁם־יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
הַר־צִיּֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq

to the place [3]
of the name of the LORD of Hosts, [2]
