[1] Merkha Silluq |
1 “I have been inquired of [3] by those who didn’t ask. [2] by those who didn’t seek me; [1] ‘Here I am, here I am,’ [2] not called by my name. [1] |
2 I have stretched out my hands [3] all the day [2] to a rebellious people; [1] in a way that is not good, [2] their own thoughts, [1] |
| 3 הָעָ֗ם [3] Revi'a הַמַּכְעִסִ֥ים אֹתִ֛י [3] Merkha Tevir עַל־פָּנַ֖י [2] Tip'cha תָּמִ֑יד [1] Etnachta בַּגַּנּ֔וֹת [2] Zaqef עַל־הַלְּבֵנִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
3 the people [3] who provoke me to anger [3] to my face [2] continually; [1] in gardens [2] on bricks, [1] |
4 who sit [3] among graves, [2] they spend the night; [1] swine’s flesh, [2] is in their pots, [1] |
5 who say, [3] ‘Keep to yourself, [2] for I am holier than you;’ [1] are smoke in my nostrils, [2] all the day. [1] |
6 Behold it is written [2] before me; [1] but I will repay, [2] into their laps, [1] |
7 your iniquities [4] and the iniquities of your fathers together,” [3] says the LORD, [2] on the mountains, [2] they scorned me; [1] the former, [2] into their laps.” [1] § |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
8 Thus [4] says the LORD, [3] in a cluster of grapes, [2] ‘Don’t destroy it, [2] is in it;’ [1] for the sake of my servants, [2] destroy everyone. [1] |
9 For I will bring forth from Jacob [3] offspring, [2] the heir of my mountains; [1] and my servants, [2] they will dwell there. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
10 And Sharon will become [3] a pasture for flocks, [2] a resting place for herds; [1] who have sought me. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
11 But you [3] who forsake the LORD, [2] my holy mountain; [1] a table, [2] for Destiny mixed wine, [1] |
| 12 וּמָנִ֨יתִי אֶתְכֶ֜ם [4] Qadma Geresh לַחֶ֗רֶב [3] Revi'a לַטֶּ֣בַח תִּכְרָ֔עוּ [2] Munach Zaqef וְלֹ֣א עֲנִיתֶ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef וְלֹ֣א שְׁמַעְתֶּ֑ם [1] Munach Etnachta בְּעֵינַ֔י [2] Zaqef בְּחַרְתֶּֽם׃ [1] Silluq פ |
12 I will destine you [4] to the sword, [3] to slaughter you will kneel, [2] but you did not answer, [2] but you did not hear; [1] in my sight, [2] you chose.” [1] ¶ |
| 13 לָכֵ֞ן [4] Gershayim כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֗ה [3] Munach Revi'a וְאַתֶּ֣ם תִּרְעָ֔בוּ [2] Munach Zaqef יִשְׁתּ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha וְאַתֶּ֣ם תִּצְמָ֑אוּ [1] Munach Etnachta יִשְׂמָ֖חוּ [2] Tip'cha וְאַתֶּ֥ם תֵּבֹֽשׁוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq |
13 Therefore [4] thus he says, [4] the Lord GOD, [3] but you, you will be hungry, [2] they will drink, [2] but you, you will be thirsty; [1] they will rejoice, [2] but you, you will be put to shame. [1] |
14 Behold my servants, [3] they will sing for joy [2] from gladness of heart; [1] from pain of heart, [2] you will wail. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
15 And you will leave your name for a curse [3] to my chosen ones, [2] the Lord GOD; [1] another name, [1] |
| 16 אֲשֶׁ֨ר הַמִּתְבָּרֵ֜ךְ [4] Qadma Geresh בָּאָ֗רֶץ [3] Revi'a בֵּאלֹהֵ֣י אָמֵ֔ן [2] Munach Zaqef יִשָּׁבַ֖ע [2] Tip'cha בֵּאלֹהֵ֣י אָמֵ֑ן [1] Munach Etnachta הַצָּרוֹת֙ [3] Pashta הָרִ֣אשֹׁנ֔וֹת [2] Munach Zaqef מֵֽעֵינָֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
16 so that the one who blesses himself [4] in the land, [3] by the God of truth, [2] he will swear [2] by the God of truth; [1] the troubles, [3] the former, [2] from my sight. [1] |
17 For behold I am creating [3] new heavens [2] and a new earth; [1] the former things, [2] to mind. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
18 But be glad and rejoice [3] forever [2] I am creating; [1] a rejoicing [2] and her people a joy. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
19 Then I will rejoice in Jerusalem [2] and I will be glad in my people; [1] anymore, [2] or a voice of distress. [1] |
| 20 לֹא־יִהְיֶ֨ה מִשָּׁ֜ם [4] Qadma Geresh ע֗וֹד [3] Revi'a וְזָקֵ֔ן [2] Zaqef אֶת־יָמָ֑יו [1] Etnachta בֶּן־מֵאָ֤ה שָׁנָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta יָמ֔וּת [2] Zaqef בֶּן־מֵאָ֥ה שָׁנָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha יְקֻלָּֽל׃ [1] Silluq |
20 It will not be (taken) from there [4] any longer [3] or the elderly [2] his days; [1] one hundred years old [3] he will die, [2] of one hundred years old, [2] he will be regarded as cursed. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
21 And they will build houses [2] and they will inhabit (them); [1] and they will eat [2] their fruit. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
22 They will not build [3] and another inhabit, [2] and another eat; [1] will be the days of my people, [2] my chosen ones will make full use. [1] |
23 They will not labor [3] in vain [2] for calamity; [1] of the blessed of the LORD [3] they will be, [2] with them. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
24 And it will be that before they call [2] I, I will answer; [1] they are speaking [2] I, I will hear. [1] |
| 25 זְאֵ֨ב וְטָלֶ֜ה [4] Qadma Geresh יִרְע֣וּ כְאֶחָ֗ד [3] Munach Revi'a כַּבָּקָ֣ר יֹאכַל־תֶּ֔בֶן [2] Munach Zaqef עָפָ֣ר לַחְמ֑וֹ [1] Munach Etnachta בְּכׇל־הַ֥ר קׇדְשִׁ֖י [2] Merkha Tip'cha אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq ס |
25 Wolf and lamb, [4] they will graze together, [3] like the ox it will eat straw, [2] dust will be its food; [1] in all my holy mountain,” [2] says the LORD. [1] § |
