| 1 בְּ֭נִי [3] Dechi  לְחׇכְמָתִ֣י הַקְשִׁ֑יבָה [2] Etnachta הַט־אׇזְנֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
1 O my son, [3]  to my wisdom be attentive; [2] incline your ear, [1]  |

| 2 לִשְׁמֹ֥ר מְזִמּ֑וֹת [2] Etnachta  שְׂפָתֶ֥יךָ יִנְצֹֽרוּ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
2 to maintain discretion; [2]  your lips may preserve. [1]  |

| 3 כִּ֤י נֹ֣פֶת תִּ֭טֹּפְנָה [3] Dechi  שִׂפְתֵ֣י זָרָ֑ה [2] Etnachta חִכָּֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
3 For they drip honey, [3]  the lips of an adulteress; [2] is her mouth, [1]  |

| 4 וְֽ֭אַחֲרִיתָהּ [3] Dechi  מָרָ֣ה כַֽלַּעֲנָ֑ה [2] Etnachta כְּחֶ֣רֶב פִּיּֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq  | 
4 but her end [3]  is bitter as wormwood; [2] as a two-edged sword. [1]  |

| 5 רַ֭גְלֶיהָ [3] Dechi  יֹרְד֣וֹת מָ֑וֶת [2] Etnachta צְעָדֶ֥יהָ יִתְמֹֽכוּ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
5 Her feet [3]  go down to death; [2] her steps will achieve. [1]  |

| 6 אֹ֣רַח חַ֭יִּים [3] Dechi  פֶּן־תְּפַלֵּ֑ס [2] Etnachta לֹ֣א תֵדָֽע׃ [1] Silluq פ  | 
6 The path of life [3]  she gives no thought to; [2] she does not know it. [1] ¶  |

| 7 וְעַתָּ֣ה בָ֭נִים [3] Dechi  שִׁמְעוּ־לִ֑י [2] Etnachta מֵאִמְרֵי־פִֽי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
7 So now my sons, [3]  listen to me; [2] from the words of my mouth. [1]  |

| 8 הַרְחֵ֣ק מֵעָלֶ֣יהָ [3] VDechi  דַרְכֶּ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta אֶל־פֶּ֥תַח בֵּיתָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
8 Keep far from her [3]  your path; [2] the door of her house, [1]  |

| 9 פֶּן־תִּתֵּ֣ן לַאֲחֵרִ֣ים [3] VDechi  הוֹדֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta לְאַכְזָרִֽי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
9 lest you give to others [3]  your strength; [2] to one who is cruel, [1]  |

| 10 פֶּֽן־יִשְׂבְּע֣וּ זָרִ֣ים [3] VDechi  כֹּחֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta בְּבֵ֣ית נׇכְרִֽי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
10 lest strangers consume [3]  your strength; [2] go to another man’s house. [1]  |

| 11 וְנָהַמְתָּ֥ בְאַחֲרִיתֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta  וּשְׁאֵרֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
11 and you will groan at your end; [2]  and your body, [1]  |

| 12 וְֽאָמַרְתָּ֗ [3] Revi'i  אֵ֭יךְ [3] Dechi שָׂנֵ֣אתִי מוּסָ֑ר [2] Etnachta נָאַ֥ץ לִבִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
12 and you will say, [3]  “How [3] I hated discipline; [2] my heart despised, [1]  |

| 13 וְֽלֹא־שָׁ֭מַעְתִּי [3] Dechi  בְּק֣וֹל מוֹרָ֑י [2] Etnachta לֹֽא־הִטִּ֥יתִי אׇזְנִֽי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
13 and I did not listen [3]  to the voice of my teachers; [2] I did not incline my ear. [1]  |

| 14 כִּ֭מְעַט [3] Dechi  הָיִ֣יתִי בְכׇל־רָ֑ע [2] Etnachta וְעֵדָֽה׃ [1] Silluq  | 
14 Almost [3]  was I in utter ruin; [2] and congregation.” [1]  |

| 15 שְׁתֵה־מַ֥יִם מִבּוֹרֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta  מִתּ֥וֹךְ בְּאֵרֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
15 Drink water from your own cistern; [2]  from your own well. [1]  |

| 16 יָפ֣וּצוּ מַעְיְנֹתֶ֣יךָ [3] VDechi  ח֑וּצָה [2] Etnachta פַּלְגֵי־מָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq  | 
16 Should your springs overflow [3]  in the streets; [2] streams of water? [1]  |

| 17 יִֽהְיוּ־לְךָ֥ לְבַדֶּ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta  אִתָּֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
17 Let them belong to you, you alone; [2]  with you. [1]  | 
|||
| 18 יְהִֽי־מְקוֹרְךָ֥ בָר֑וּךְ [2] Etnachta  מֵאֵ֥שֶׁת נְעוּרֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
18 May your fountain be blessed; [2]  from the wife of your youth. [1]  |

| 19 אַיֶּ֥לֶת אֲהָבִ֗ים [3] Revi'i  וְֽיַעֲלַ֫ת־חֵ֥ן [2] Ole Veyored יְרַוֻּ֣ךָ בְכׇל־עֵ֑ת [2] Etnachta תִּשְׁגֶּ֥ה תָמִֽיד׃ [1] Silluq  | 
19 A lovely deer [3]  and a graceful doe; [2] may they satisfy you at all times, [2] may you always be captivated. [1]  |

| 20 וְלָ֤מָּה תִשְׁגֶּ֣ה בְנִ֣י [3] VDechi  בְזָרָ֑ה [2] Etnachta חֵ֣ק נׇכְרִיָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq  | 
20 For why should you be intoxicated my son, [3]  with an adulteress; [2] the bosom of a stranger? [1]  |

| 21 כִּ֤י נֹ֨כַח ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh  עֵינֵ֣י יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi דַּרְכֵי־אִ֑ישׁ [2] Etnachta  | 
21 For before [4]  the eyes of the LORD [3] are the ways of a man; [2]  |

| 22 עֲֽווֹנֹתָ֗יו [3] Revi'i  יִלְכְּדֻנ֥וֹ אֶת־הָרָשָׁ֑ע [2] Etnachta יִתָּמֵֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
22 His iniquities, [3]  they will ensnare the wicked; [2] he will be held. [1]  |

| 23 ה֗וּא [3] Revi'i  יָ֭מוּת [3] Dechi בְּאֵ֣ין מוּסָ֑ר [2] Etnachta יִשְׁגֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq פ  | 
23 He, [3]  he will die [3] for lack of discipline; [2] he will go astray. [1] ¶  |
