Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #45803

← מָשְׁחָתָם ⌂ → Exo 40 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 15 And_you_will_anoint DOM_them just_as you_anointed DOM father_of_their and_they_will_serve_as_priests to_me and_it_will_become to_be to/for_them anointing_of_their (into)_a_priesthood_of perpetuity to_generations_of_their. (EXO 40:15)

OET-RV: 15 and anoint them like you anointed their father, and they will serve as priests to me. Their anointing will cause them to be a priesthood forever throughout their generations.” (EXO 40:15)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
