Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #311573

← שָׁמָּה ⌂ → Jer 16 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 15 If/because (if) by_the_life of_YHWH who he_brought_up DOM the_people_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) from_a_land_of the_north and_from_all the_lands where he_had_banished_them to_(to) and_I_will_bring_them_back to land_of_their which I_gave to_ancestors_of_their. (JER 16:15)

OET-RV: 15 Instead they’ll say:
⇔ ‘As Yahweh lives, the one who brought the Israelis back from the land of the north
⇔ and from the lands where he had driven them,’
⇔ because I’ll bring them back to the land that I gave to their ancestors. (JER 16:15)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
