Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 9 HERE a_son is_about_to_be_born to/for_you(fs) he he_will_be a_man_of rest and_I_will_give_rest to_him/it from_all enemies_of_his from_round_about if/because Shəlomoh it_will_be his/its_name and_peace and_quietness I_will_give to Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) in_days_of_his. (CH1 22:9)

OET-RV: 9 He told me, ‘Listen, you’ll have a son who’ll be a man of peace. I’ll give him relief from all his enemies from the surrounding regions. That’s why he’ll be called ‘Shelomoh’ (which sounds like ‘Shalom’—the Hebrew word for peace), and I’ll give peace and quietness to Yisrael during his lifetime. (CH1 22:9)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘מִכָּל’ (Morphology=R PoS=preposition
 Morphology=Ncmsc PoS=common_noun Gender=masculine Number=singular State=construct)
is always and only glossed as ‘from_all’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘מִן’, ‘כֹּל’’ have only one gloss: ‘from=all’.
