Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #345042

← חִתִּיתָם ⌂ → Eze 26 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 17 And_they_will_take_up on_you a_lamentation and_they_will_say to/for_you(fs) how you_have_perished Oh_city_inhabited from_the_seas the_city which_it_was_praised which it_was mighty in_sea it and_inhabitants_of_its which they_put terror_of_their to/from_all/each/any/every inhabitants_of_its. OET-RV: 17 Then they’ll sing this song of mourning for you and say to you,
⇔ How you, who were inhabited by sailors, have been destroyed.
⇔ The famous city that was so strong, it’s now gone from the sea.
⇔ The ones living in her once spread terror around themselves on everyone who lived nearby. (EZE 26:17)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
