Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #335483

← הָרָחוֹק ⌂ → Eze 6 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 12 The_distant_person by_pestilence he_will_die and_the_near_person by_sword he_will_fall and_the_one_who_remains and_the_one_who_is_preserved by_famine he_will_die and_I_will_complete rage_of_my on_them. (EZE 6:12)

OET-RV: 12 Those who are far from Yerushalem will die from deadly diseases, and those who are near will fall by the sword. Those who remain and survive will die by famine. That’s the way that I’ll put my fury against them into action. (EZE 6:12)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘הָרָחוֹק’ (Morphology=Td PoS=definite_article
 Morphology=Aamsa PoS=adjective Gender=masculine Number=singular State=absolute)
is always and only glossed as ‘the_distant, [person]’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘הַ’, ‘רָחֹוק’’ have only one gloss: ‘the_distant,[person]’.
