AICNT 1COR Chapter 2

COR 2 ©

And when I came to you, brothers, I did not come with superiority of speech or wisdom, proclaiming to you the {mystery}[fn] of God. 2For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

And I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, 4And my word and my proclamation were not with persuasive [words][fn] of [[human]][fn] wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5so that your faith might not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Yet we do speak wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are being brought to nothing. 7But we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages for our glory, 8which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

But as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.”[fn]

{But}[fn] God has revealed it to us through {the}[fn] Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.

For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Likewise, no one {has known}[fn] the things of God except the Spirit of God.

Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us by God.

And we speak of these things not in words taught by human wisdom, but in words taught by the [[Holy]][fn] Spirit, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

But the natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15But the spiritual person judges all things, yet he himself is judged by no one.

For who has known the mind of the Lord, who will instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
