AICNT 1COR Chapter 5

COR 5 ©

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even [[named]][fn] among the Gentiles, so that one has his father's wife. 2And you are puffed up, and did not rather mourn, so that he who has done this deed might be {taken away}[fn] from among you? 3For I, indeed, [[as]][fn] though I am being absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged, as though I were present, him who has so done this thing. 4In the name of {our}[fn] Lord Jesus [[Christ]],[fn] when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus [[Christ]],[fn] 5to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord [[Jesus]].[fn]

Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7Clean out [[therefor]][fn] the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, just as you are unleavened. For indeed, our Passover, Christ, has been sacrificed [[on our behalf]].[fn]

Therefore let us celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people, 10not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.

But now I have written to you not to associate with anyone who is called a brother if he is sexually immoral, or greedy, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler; with such a person do not even eat.

For what have I to do with judging those who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13But those who are outside, God judges. {Remove}[fn] the wicked person from among yourselves.
