Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #98899

← וַיֹּאמֶר ⌂ → Deu 34 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 4 And_ YHWH _he/it_said to_him/it this the_earth/land which I_swore to_ʼAⱱrāhām to_Yiʦḩāq/(Isaac) and_to_Yaˊₐqoⱱ to_say to_offspring_of_your I_will_give_it I_have_let_you_see_it with_your_two’s_own_of_eyes and_to_(to) not you_will_pass_over. (DEU 34:4)

OET-RV: 4 Then Yahweh told him, “That’s the land that I promised to Abraham, to Yitshak (Isaac), and to Yakov (Jacob), saying, ‘I’ll give it to your descendants.’ I’ve showed it to you for you to look at, but you won’t go over there into it.” (DEU 34:4)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
