Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 9 And_he_scraped_it_out into palms_of_his and_he/it_went going and_eating and_he/it_went to his/its_father and_near/to his/its_mother and_he/it_gave to/for_them and_they_ate and_not he_told to/for_them if/because_that from_the_carcass_of the_lion he_had_scraped_out the_honey. (JDG 14:9)

OET-RV: 9 He filled his cupped hands with honey, and continued along—walking and eating as he went to where his parents were. He even gave some to them to try, but he didn’t tell them that he had scooped it out of the carcass of a dead lion. (JDG 14:9)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘לָהֶם’ (Morphology=R PoS=preposition
 Morphology=Sp3mp PoS=pronominal_suffix Person=third Gender=masculine Number=plural)
is always and only glossed as ‘to / for_them’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘לְ’, ‘הוּא’’ have only one gloss: ‘to/for=them’.
