Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #179769

← וְאֵת ⌂ → 2 Ki 14 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 14 And_he/it_will_take DOM all_of the_gold and_the_silver and_DOM all_of the_vessels which_were_found the_house_of YHWH and_in_the_treasuries_of the_house_of the_king and_DOM the_sons_of the_pledges and_he_returned to_Shomrōn. (KI2 14:14)

OET-RV: 14 He took all the gold and silver, and all the equipment that was found in Yahweh’s temple and in the palace treasuries. Then taking some hostages as well, he returned to Shomron (Samaria). (KI2 14:14)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘וְאֵת’ (Morphology=C PoS=conjunction
 Morphology=To PoS=direct_object_marker)
is always and only glossed as ‘and_DOM’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘וְ’, ‘אֵת’’ have only one gloss: ‘and=DOM’.
