Hebrew wordlink #184982

← מִפְּנֵי ⌂ → 2 Ki 22 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 19 Because heart_of_your it_was_soft and_you_humbled_yourself from_face/in_front_of YHWH when_heard_you that_which I_had_spoken on the_place the_this and_on inhabitants_of_its to_be (into)_a_horror and_(into)_a_curse and_you_tore DOM clothes_of_your and_she/it_wept before_me and_also I I_have_heard the_utterance_of YHWH. (KI2 22:19)

OET-RV: 19 because you’re open to learn and because you humbled yourself in front of Yahweh when you heard my promise that this place and its inhabitants would become a horror and a curse, and because you’ve torn your clothes and wept in front of me, then Yahweh said that he’s taken notice of you. (KI2 22:19)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
