Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #51339

← לָכֶֽם ⌂ → Lev 11 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 35 And_all/each/any/every that any_of_their_carcass it_will_fall on/upon/above_him/it it_will_be_unclean an_oven and_a_stove it_will_be_broken_up are_unclean they and_unclean they_will_be to_you(pl). (LEV 11:35)

OET-RV: 35 Anything that the dead body of one of those creatures falls onto will become ‘unclean’—any oven or stove must be smashed. They have become ‘unclean’ and would always remain so. (LEV 11:35)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
