Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #52011

← וְרָאָה ⌂ → Lev 13 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 20 And_ the_priest/officer _he_will_see and_BEHOLD/LO/SEE appearance_of_its is_deep more_than the_skin and_hair_of_its it_has_turned white and_he_will_declare_him_unclean the_priest/officer is_a_plague_of a_serious_skin_disease it in_boil it_has_broken_out. (LEV 13:20)

OET-RV: 20 The priest will examine it, and if it is indeed more than just skin deep and its hair has turned white, then the priest must pronounce that person as ‘unclean’ because an infectious skin disease has broken out from the original boil. (LEV 13:20)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
