BLB 1TIM Chapter 2

1TIM 2 ©

2First of all, therefore, I exhort entreaties, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings, to be made on behalf of all men 2for kings and all those being in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3This is good and acceptable before God our Savior, 4who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6the One having given Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony in their own proper times, 7in regard to which I was appointed a herald and an apostle--I am speaking the truth; I do not lie--a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. 8Therefore I desire the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, apart from anger and dissension. 9Likewise also women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, 10but with what is becoming to women, professing the fear of God through good works. 11Let a woman learn in quietness, in all submissiveness. 12But I do not permit a woman to teach, nor to use authority over a man, but to be in quietness. 13For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14And Adam was not deceived, but the woman, having been deceived, has come into transgression. 15But she will be saved through childbearing, if they abide in faith and love and holiness, with self-restraint.
