The First Letter of Paul to the Corinthians 3

3And I, brothers, was not able to speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly, as to infants in Christ. 2I gave you milk to drink, not solid food, for you were not yet able. Indeed, even now, you are not able. 3For you are still fleshly. For where there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly and walking according to men? 4For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not men? 5Who then is Apollos? And who is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, even as the Lord gave to each one. 6I planted, Apollos watered, but God caused it to grow. 7So then, neither the one planting nor the one watering is anything, but God is the one causing the growth. 8Now the one planting and the one watering are one, and each will receive his own wages according to his own labor. 9For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.

10According to the grace of God that was given to me as a wise master builder, I laid a foundation, and another is building on it, but let each one be careful how he builds on it, 11for no one is able to lay a foundation other than the one being laid, that is, Jesus Christ. 12Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, 13the work of each one will become evident, for the day will display it; for it is revealed in fire, and the fire itself will test of what sort is the work of each one. 14If anyone’s work that he built will remain, he will receive a reward; 15if anyone’s work will be burned up, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, but as though through fire.

16Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and the Spirit of God lives in you? 17If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person. For the temple of God is holy, which you are.

18Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks he is wise in this age, let him become a “fool,” that he may become wise. 19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written,

“He catches the wise in their craftiness.”

20And again,

“The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise, that they are futile.”

21So then, let no one boast in men. For all things are yours, 22whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things coming. All things are yours, 23and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.
