The Kings and Chiefs of Edom

36:31-43

1 Chronicles 1:43-54

31 And these were the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before a king reigned for the sons of Israel. 32 And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom, and the name of his city was Dinhabah. 33 Then Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah from Bozrah reigned in his place. 34 Then Jobab died, and Husham from the land of the Temanites reigned in his place. 35 Then Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad reigned in his place, who struck the Midianites in the field of Moab. And the name of his city was Avith. 36 Then Hadad died, and Samlah from Masrekah reigned in his place. 37 Then Samlah died, and Shaul from Rehoboth on the river reigned in his place. 38 Then Shaul died, and Baal-Hanan the son of Acbor reigned in his place. 39 Then Baal-Hanan the son of Acbor died, and Hadar reigned in his place, and the name of his city was Pau. And the name of his wife was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred and the granddaughter of Me-Zahab.

40 And these are the names of the chiefs of Esau, according to their clans, according to their places, by their names: Chief Timna, Chief Alvan, Chief Jetheth, 41 Chief Oholibamah, Chief Elah, Chief Pinon, 42 Chief Kenaz, Chief Teman, Chief Mibzar, 43 Chief Magdiel, Chief Iram. Those were the chiefs of Edom, according to their dwellings in the land of their possession. That was Esau, the father of the Edomites.
