Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #209965

← וְכֵלָיו ⌂ → 2 Chr 23 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 7 And_ the_Lēviyyiy _they_will_surround DOM the_king all_around each_man and_weapons_of_his in_his/its_hand and_the_one_who_comes into the_house he_will_be_put_to_death and_be with the_king when_comes_he and_when_he_goes_out. (CH2 23:7)

OET-RV: 7 You Levites must be armed and surround the young king. You must kill anyone else who tries to enter the temple, but stay close to the king wherever he goes. (CH2 23:7)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
