Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #363119

← וְזָעַם ⌂ → Dan 11 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 30 And_they_will_come in_him/it ships Kittim and_he_will_be_disheartened and_he_will_turn_back and_he_will_direct_indignation towards the_covenant_of holiness and_he_will_act and_he_will_turn_back and_he_will_pay_attention on those_who_abandon_of (of)_the_covenant_of holiness. (DAN 11:30)

OET-RV: 30 Ships will come against him from Kittum (Cyprus), and he’ll withdraw in fear. He’ll be angry about the holy agreement and will take action. He’ll come back and take the advice of those who forsake the holy agreement. (DAN 11:30)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
