Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #42417

← בְנֹתָיו ⌂ → Exo 34 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 16 And_you_will_take some_of_his_daughters for_sons_of_your and_ daughters_of_his _they_will_prostitute_themselves after gods_of_their and_they_will_make_prostitute_themselves DOM sons_of_your after gods_of_their. (EXO 34:16)

OET-RV: 16 then you’ll end up by allowing your sons to marry their daughters who’ll prostitute themselves to their gods, and then your sons will do the same. (EXO 34:16)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘בְנֹתָיו’ (Morphology=Ncfpc PoS=common_noun Gender=feminine Number=plural State=construct
