Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #348026

← מִמֶּנָּה ⌂ → Eze 33 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 9 And_you(ms) if/because you_have_warned the_wicked_person from_way_of_his to_turn_back from_her/it and_not he_has_turned_back from_way_of_his he in_iniquity_of_his he_will_die and_you(ms) life_of_your you_have_delivered. (EZE 33:9)

OET-RV: 9 But if you warn the wicked person about their behaviour, so that they might turn back from it, and if that person doesn’t turn back from their behaviour, then they’ll die in their sin, but you yourself will have saved your own life. (EZE 33:9)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘מִמֶּנָּה’ (Morphology=R PoS=preposition
 Morphology=Sp3fs PoS=pronominal_suffix Person=third Gender=feminine Number=singular)
is always and only glossed as ‘from_her / it’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘מִן’, ‘הוּא’’ have 2 different glosses: ‘from=her/it’, ‘from=it’.
